A Prophecy Against the King of Tyre
και εγενετο λογος κυριου προς με λεγων
ַיְהִ֥י דְבַר־יְהוָ֖ה אֵלַ֥י לֵאמֹֽר׃
The word of the LORD came again unto me, saying,
2 και συ υιε ανθρωπου ειπον τω αρχοντι τυρου ταδε λεγει κυριος ανθ ων υψωθη σου η καρδια και ειπας θεος ειμι εγω κατοικιαν θεου κατωκηκα εν καρδια θαλασσης συ δε ει ανθρωπος και ου θεος και εδωκας την καρδιαν σου ως καρδιαν θεου
ֶּן־אָדָ֡ם אֱמֹר֩ לִנְגִ֨יד צֹ֜ר כֹּֽה־אָמַ֣ר ׀ אֲדֹנָ֣י יְהֹוִ֗ה יַ֣עַן גָּבַ֤הּ לִבְּךָ֙ וַתֹּ֙אמֶר֙ אֵ֣ל אָ֔נִי מוֹשַׁ֧ב אֱלֹהִ֛ים יָשַׁ֖בְתִּי בְּלֵ֣ב יַמִּ֑ים וְאַתָּ֤ה אָדָם֙ וְֽלֹא־אֵ֔ל וַתִּתֵּ֥ן לִבְּךָ֖ כְּלֵ֥ב אֱלֹהִֽים׃
Son of man, say unto the prince of Tyrus, Thus says the Lord GOD; Because yours heart is lifted up, and you have said, I am a God, I sit in the seat of God, in the midst of the seas; yet you are a man, and not God, though you set yours heart as the heart of God:
3 μη σοφωτερος ει συ του δανιηλ σοφοι ουκ επαιδευσαν σε τη επιστημη αυτων
ִנֵּ֥ה חָכָ֛ם אַתָּ֖ה *מדנאל **מִדָּֽנִיֵּ֑אל כָּל־סָת֖וּם לֹ֥א עֲמָמֽוּךָ׃
Behold, you are wiser than Daniel; there is no secret that they can hide from you:
4 μη εν τη επιστημη σου η εν τη φρονησει σου εποιησας σεαυτω δυναμιν και χρυσιον και αργυριον εν τοις θησαυροις σου
ְּחָכְמָֽתְךָ֙ וּבִתְבוּנָ֣תְךָ֔ עָשִׂ֥יתָ לְּךָ֖ חָ֑יִל וַתַּ֛עַשׂ זָהָ֥ב וָכֶ֖סֶף בְּאוֹצְרוֹתֶֽיךָ׃
With your wisdom and with yours understanding you have got you riches, and have got gold and silver into your treasures:
5 εν τη πολλη επιστημη σου και εμπορια σου επληθυνας δυναμιν σου υψωθη η καρδια σου εν τη δυναμει σου
ְּרֹ֧ב חָכְמָתְךָ֛ בִּרְכֻלָּתְךָ֖ הִרְבִּ֣יתָ חֵילֶ֑ךָ וַיִּגְבַּ֥הּ לְבָבְךָ֖ בְּחֵילֶֽךָ׃ ס
By your great wisdom and by your trade have you increased your riches, and yours heart is lifted up because of your riches:
6 δια τουτο ταδε λεγει κυριος επειδη δεδωκας την καρδιαν σου ως καρδιαν θεου
ָכֵ֕ן כֹּ֥ה אָמַ֖ר אֲדֹנָ֣י יְהוִ֑ה יַ֛עַן תִּתְּךָ֥ אֶת־לְבָבְךָ֖ כְּלֵ֥ב אֱלֹהִֽים׃
Therefore thus says the Lord GOD; Because you have set yours heart as the heart of God;
7 αντι τουτου ιδου εγω επαγω επι σε αλλοτριους λοιμους απο εθνων και εκκενωσουσιν τας μαχαιρας αυτων επι σε και επι το καλλος της επιστημης σου και στρωσουσιν το καλλος σου εις απωλειαν
ָכֵ֗ן הִנְנִ֨י מֵבִ֤יא עָלֶ֙יךָ֙ זָרִ֔ים עָרִיצֵ֖י גּוֹיִ֑ם וְהֵרִ֤יקוּ חַרְבוֹתָם֙ עַל־יְפִ֣י חָכְמָתֶ֔ךָ וְחִלְּל֖וּ יִפְעָתֶֽךָ׃
Behold, therefore I will bring strangers upon you, the terrible of the nations: and they shall draw their swords against the beauty of your wisdom, and they shall defile your brightness.
8 και καταβιβασουσιν σε και αποθανη θανατω τραυματιων εν καρδια θαλασσης
ַשַּׁ֖חַת יֽוֹרִד֑וּךָ וָמַ֛תָּה מְמוֹתֵ֥י חָלָ֖ל בְּלֵ֥ב יַמִּֽים׃
They shall bring you down to the pit, and you shall die the deaths of them that are slain in the midst of the seas.
9 μη λεγων ερεις θεος ειμι εγω ενωπιον των αναιρουντων σε συ δε ει ανθρωπος και ου θεος εν πληθει
ֶאָמֹ֤ר תֹּאמַר֙ אֱלֹהִ֣ים אָ֔נִי לִפְנֵ֖י הֹֽרְגֶ֑ךָ וְאַתָּ֥ה אָדָ֛ם וְלֹא־אֵ֖ל בְּיַ֥ד מְחַלְלֶֽיךָ׃
Will you yet say before him that slays you, I am God? but you shall be a man, and no God, in the hand of him that slays you.
10 απεριτμητων απολη εν χερσιν αλλοτριων οτι εγω ελαλησα λεγει κυριος
וֹתֵ֧י עֲרֵלִ֛ים תָּמ֖וּת בְּיַד־זָרִ֑ים כִּ֚י אֲנִ֣י דִבַּ֔רְתִּי נְאֻ֖ם אֲדֹנָ֥י יְהוִֽה׃ ס
You shall die the deaths of the uncircumcised by the hand of strangers: for I have spoken it, says the Lord GOD.
11 και εγενετο λογος κυριου προς με λεγων
ַיְהִ֥י דְבַר־יְהוָ֖ה אֵלַ֥י לֵאמֹֽר׃
Moreover the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,
12 υιε ανθρωπου λαβε θρηνον επι τον αρχοντα τυρου και ειπον αυτω ταδε λεγει κυριος κυριος συ αποσφραγισμα ομοιωσεως και στεφανος καλλους
ֶּן־אָדָ֕ם שָׂ֥א קִינָ֖ה עַל־מֶ֣לֶךְ צ֑וֹר וְאָמַ֣רְתָּ לּ֗וֹ כֹּ֤ה אָמַר֙ אֲדֹנָ֣י יְהוִ֔ה אַתָּה֙ חוֹתֵ֣ם תָּכְנִ֔ית מָלֵ֥א חָכְמָ֖ה וּכְלִ֥יל יֹֽפִי׃
Son of man, take up a lamentation upon the king of Tyrus, and say unto him, Thus says the Lord GOD; You seal up the sum, full of wisdom, and perfect in beauty.
13 εν τη τρυφη του παραδεισου του θεου εγενηθης παν λιθον χρηστον ενδεδεσαι σαρδιον και τοπαζιον και σμαραγδον και ανθρακα και σαπφειρον και ιασπιν και αργυριον και χρυσιον και λιγυριον και αχατην και αμεθυστον και χρυσολιθον και βηρυλλιον και ονυχιον και χρυσιου ενεπλησας τους θησαυρους σου και τας αποθηκας σου εν σοι αφ ης ημερας εκτισθης συ
ְּעֵ֨דֶן גַּן־אֱלֹהִ֜ים הָיִ֗יתָ כָּל־אֶ֨בֶן יְקָרָ֤ה מְסֻכָתֶ֙ךָ֙ אֹ֣דֶם פִּטְדָ֞ה וְיָהֲלֹ֗ם תַּרְשִׁ֥ישׁ שֹׁ֙הַם֙ וְיָ֣שְׁפֵ֔ה סַפִּ֣יר נֹ֔פֶךְ וּבָרְקַ֖ת וְזָהָ֑ב מְלֶ֨אכֶת תֻּפֶּ֤יךָ וּנְקָבֶ֙יךָ֙ בָּ֔ךְ בְּי֥וֹם הִבָּרַאֲךָ֖ כּוֹנָֽנוּ׃
You have been in Eden the garden of God; every precious stone was your covering, the ruby, topaz, and the diamond, the beryl, the onyx, and the jasper, the sapphire, the emerald, and the carbuncle, and gold: the workmanship of your timbrels and of your pipes was prepared in you in the day that you were created.
14 μετα του χερουβ εθηκα σε εν ορει αγιω θεου εγενηθης εν μεσω λιθων πυρινων
ַ֨תְּ־כְּר֔וּב מִמְשַׁ֖ח הַסּוֹכֵ֑ךְ וּנְתַתִּ֗יךָ בְּהַ֨ר קֹ֤דֶשׁ אֱלֹהִים֙ הָיִ֔יתָ בְּת֥וֹךְ אַבְנֵי־אֵ֖שׁ הִתְהַלָּֽכְתָּ׃
You are the anointed cherub that covers; and I have set you so: you were upon the holy mountain of God; you have walked up and down in the midst of the stones of fire.
15 εγενηθης αμωμος συ εν ταις ημεραις σου αφ ης ημερας συ εκτισθης εως ευρεθη τα αδικηματα εν σοι
ָּמִ֤ים אַתָּה֙ בִּדְרָכֶ֔יךָ מִיּ֖וֹם הִבָּֽרְאָ֑ךְ עַד־נִמְצָ֥א עַוְלָ֖תָה בָּֽךְ׃
You were perfect in your ways from the day that you were created, till iniquity was found in you.
16 απο πληθους της εμποριας σου επλησας τα ταμιεια σου ανομιας και ημαρτες και ετραυματισθης απο ορους του θεου και ηγαγεν σε το χερουβ εκ μεσου λιθων πυρινων
ְּרֹ֣ב רְכֻלָּתְךָ֗ מָל֧וּ תוֹכְךָ֛ חָמָ֖ס וַֽתֶּחֱטָ֑א וָאֶחַלֶּלְךָ֩ מֵהַ֨ר אֱלֹהִ֤ים וָֽאַבֶּדְךָ֙ כְּר֣וּב הַסֹּכֵ֔ךְ מִתּ֖וֹךְ אַבְנֵי־אֵֽשׁ׃
By the multitude of your merchandise they have filled the midst of you with violence, and you have sinned: therefore I will cast you as profane out of the mountain of God: and I will destroy you, O covering cherub, from the midst of the stones of fire.
17 υψωθη η καρδια σου επι τω καλλει σου διεφθαρη η επιστημη σου μετα του καλλους σου δια πληθος αμαρτιων σου επι την γην ερριψα σε εναντιον βασιλεων εδωκα σε παραδειγματισθηναι
ָּבַ֤הּ לִבְּךָ֙ בְּיָפְיֶ֔ךָ שִׁחַ֥תָּ חָכְמָתְךָ֖ עַל־יִפְעָתֶ֑ךָ עַל־אֶ֣רֶץ הִשְׁלַכְתִּ֗יךָ לִפְנֵ֧י מְלָכִ֛ים נְתַתִּ֖יךָ לְרַ֥אֲוָה בָֽךְ׃
Yours heart was lifted up because of your beauty, you have corrupted your wisdom by reason of your brightness: I will cast you to the ground, I will lay you before kings, that they may behold you.
18 δια το πληθος των αμαρτιων σου και των αδικιων της εμποριας σου εβεβηλωσας τα ιερα σου και εξαξω πυρ εκ μεσου σου τουτο καταφαγεται σε και δωσω σε εις σποδον επι της γης σου εναντιον παντων των ορωντων σε
ֵרֹ֣ב עֲוֺנֶ֗יךָ בְּעֶ֙וֶל֙ רְכֻלָּ֣תְךָ֔ חִלַּ֖לְתָּ מִקְדָּשֶׁ֑יךָ וָֽאוֹצִא־אֵ֤שׁ מִתּֽוֹכְךָ֙ הִ֣יא אֲכָלַ֔תְךָ וָאֶתֶּנְךָ֤ לְאֵ֙פֶר֙ עַל־הָאָ֔רֶץ לְעֵינֵ֖י כָּל־רֹאֶֽיךָ׃
You have defiled your sanctuaries by the multitude of yours iniquities, by the iniquity of your trade; therefore will I bring forth a fire from the midst of you, it shall devour you, and I will bring you to ashes upon the earth in the sight of all them that behold you.
19 και παντες οι επισταμενοι σε εν τοις εθνεσιν στυγνασουσιν επι σε απωλεια εγενου και ουχ υπαρξεις ετι εις τον αιωνα
ָּל־יוֹדְעֶ֙יךָ֙ בָּֽעַמִּ֔ים שָׁמְמ֖וּ עָלֶ֑יךָ בַּלָּה֣וֹת הָיִ֔יתָ וְאֵינְךָ֖ עַד־עוֹלָֽם׃ פ
All they that know you among the people shall be astonished at you: you shall be a terror, and never shall you be any more.
20
A Prophecy Against Sidon
και εγενετο λογος κυριου προς με λεγων
ַיְהִ֥י דְבַר־יְהוָ֖ה אֵלַ֥י לֵאמֹֽר׃
Again the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,
21 υιε ανθρωπου στηρισον το προσωπον σου επι σιδωνα και προφητευσον επ αυτην
ֶּן־אָדָ֕ם שִׂ֥ים פָּנֶ֖יךָ אֶל־צִיד֑וֹן וְהִנָּבֵ֖א עָלֶֽיהָ׃
Son of man, set your face against Zidon, and prophesy against it,
22 και ειπον ταδε λεγει κυριος ιδου εγω επι σε σιδων και ενδοξασθησομαι εν σοι και γνωση οτι εγω ειμι κυριος εν τω ποιησαι με εν σοι κριματα και αγιασθησομαι εν σοι
ְאָמַרְתָּ֗ כֹּ֤ה אָמַר֙ אֲדֹנָ֣י יְהוִ֔ה הִנְנִ֤י עָלַ֙יִךְ֙ צִיד֔וֹן וְנִכְבַּדְתִּ֖י בְּתוֹכֵ֑ךְ וְֽיָדְע֞וּ כִּֽי־אֲנִ֣י יְהוָ֗ה בַּעֲשׂ֥וֹתִי בָ֛הּ שְׁפָטִ֖ים וְנִקְדַּ֥שְׁתִּי בָֽהּ׃
And say, Thus says the Lord GOD; Behold, I am against you, O Zidon; and I will be glorified in the midst of you: and they shall know that I am the LORD, when I shall have executed judgments in her, and shall be sanctified in her.
23 αιμα και θανατος εν ταις πλατειαις σου και πεσουνται τετραυματισμενοι εν μαχαιραις εν σοι περικυκλω σου και γνωσονται διοτι εγω ειμι κυριος
ְשִׁלַּחְתִּי־בָ֞הּ דֶּ֤בֶר וָדָם֙ בְּח֣וּצוֹתֶ֔יהָ וְנִפְלַ֤ל חָלָל֙ בְּתוֹכָ֔הּ בְּחֶ֥רֶב עָלֶ֖יהָ מִסָּבִ֑יב וְיָדְע֖וּ כִּֽי־אֲנִ֥י יְהוָֽה׃
For I will send into her pestilence, and blood into her streets; and the wounded shall be judged in the midst of her by the sword upon her on every side; and they shall know that I am the LORD.
24 και ουκ εσονται ουκετι τω οικω του ισραηλ σκολοψ πικριας και ακανθα οδυνης απο παντων των περικυκλω αυτων των ατιμασαντων αυτους και γνωσονται οτι εγω ειμι κυριος
ְלֹֽא־יִהְיֶ֨ה ע֜וֹד לְבֵ֣ית יִשְׂרָאֵ֗ל סִלּ֤וֹן מַמְאִיר֙ וְק֣וֹץ מַכְאִ֔ב מִכֹּל֙ סְבִ֣יבֹתָ֔ם הַשָּׁאטִ֖ים אוֹתָ֑ם וְיָ֣דְע֔וּ כִּ֥י אֲנִ֖י אֲדֹנָ֥י יְהוִֽה׃ ס
And there shall be no more a pricking brier unto the house of Israel, nor any grieving thorn of all that are round about them, that despised them; and they shall know that I am the Lord GOD.
25 ταδε λεγει κυριος κυριος και συναξω τον ισραηλ εκ των εθνων ου διεσκορπισθησαν εκει και αγιασθησομαι εν αυτοις ενωπιον των λαων και των εθνων και κατοικησουσιν επι της γης αυτων ην δεδωκα τω δουλω μου ιακωβ
ֹּֽה־אָמַר֮ אֲדֹנָ֣י יְהוִה֒ בְּקַבְּצִ֣י ׀ אֶת־בֵּ֣ית יִשְׂרָאֵ֗ל מִן־הָֽעַמִּים֙ אֲשֶׁ֣ר נָפֹ֣צוּ בָ֔ם וְנִקְדַּ֥שְׁתִּי בָ֖ם לְעֵינֵ֣י הַגּוֹיִ֑ם וְיָֽשְׁבוּ֙ עַל־אַדְמָתָ֔ם אֲשֶׁ֥ר נָתַ֖תִּי לְעַבְדִּ֥י לְיַעֲקֹֽב׃
Thus says the Lord GOD; When I shall have gathered the house of Israel from the people among whom they are scattered, and shall be sanctified in them in the sight of the heathen, then shall they dwell in their land that I have given to my servant Jacob.
26 και κατοικησουσιν επ αυτης εν ελπιδι και οικοδομησουσιν οικιας και φυτευσουσιν αμπελωνας και κατοικησουσιν εν ελπιδι οταν ποιησω κριμα εν πασιν τοις ατιμασασιν αυτους εν τοις κυκλω αυτων και γνωσονται οτι εγω ειμι κυριος ο θεος αυτων και ο θεος των πατερων αυτων
ְיָשְׁב֣וּ עָלֶיהָ֮ לָבֶטַח֒ וּבָנ֤וּ בָתִּים֙ וְנָטְע֣וּ כְרָמִ֔ים וְיָשְׁב֖וּ לָבֶ֑טַח בַּעֲשׂוֹתִ֣י שְׁפָטִ֗ים בְּכֹ֨ל הַשָּׁאטִ֤ים אֹתָם֙ מִסְּבִ֣יבוֹתָ֔ם וְיָ֣דְע֔וּ כִּ֛י אֲנִ֥י יְהוָ֖ה אֱלֹהֵיהֶֽם׃ ס
And they shall dwell safely therein, and shall build houses, and plant vineyards; yea, they shall dwell with confidence, when I have executed judgments upon all those that despise them round about them; and they shall know that I am the LORD their God.
