| 1 | God’s Sure Judgment on Jerusalemκαι ανελαβεν με πνευμα και ηγαγεν με επι την πυλην του οικου κυριου την κατεναντι την βλεπουσαν κατα ανατολας και ιδου επι των προθυρων της πυλης ως εικοσι και πεντε ανδρες και ειδον εν μεσω αυτων τον ιεζονιαν τον του εζερ και φαλτιαν τον του βαναιου τους αφηγουμενους του λαουַתִּשָּׂ֨א אֹתִ֜י ר֗וּחַ וַתָּבֵ֣א אֹ֠תִי אֶל־שַׁ֨עַר בֵּית־יְהוָ֤ה הַקַּדְמוֹנִי֙ הַפּוֹנֶ֣ה קָדִ֔ימָה וְהִנֵּה֙ בְּפֶ֣תַח הַשַּׁ֔עַר עֶשְׂרִ֥ים וַחֲמִשָּׁ֖ה אִ֑ישׁ וָאֶרְאֶ֨ה בְתוֹכָ֜ם אֶת־יַאֲזַנְיָ֧ה בֶן־עַזֻּ֛ר וְאֶת־פְּלַטְיָ֥הוּ בֶן־בְּנָיָ֖הוּ שָׂרֵ֖י הָעָֽם׃ פ Moreover the spirit lifted me up, and brought me unto the east gate of the LORD's house, which looks eastward: and behold at the door of the gate five and twenty men; among whom I saw Jaazaniah the son of Azur, and Pelatiah the son of Benaiah, princes of the people. |

| 2 | και ειπεν κυριος προς με υιε ανθρωπου ουτοι οι ανδρες οι λογιζομενοι ματαια και βουλευομενοι βουλην πονηραν εν τη πολει ταυτη ַיֹּ֖אמֶר אֵלָ֑י בֶּן־אָדָ֕ם אֵ֣לֶּה הָאֲנָשִׁ֞ים הַחֹשְׁבִ֥ים אָ֛וֶן וְהַיֹּעֲצִ֥ים עֲצַת־רָ֖ע בָּעִ֥יר הַזֹּֽאת׃ Then said he unto me, Son of man, these are the men that devise mischief, and give wicked counsel in this city: |
| 3 | οι λεγοντες ουχι προσφατως ωκοδομηνται αι οικιαι αυτη εστιν ο λεβης ημεις δε τα κρεα ָאֹ֣מְרִ֔ים לֹ֥א בְקָר֖וֹב בְּנ֣וֹת בָּתִּ֑ים הִ֣יא הַסִּ֔יר וַאֲנַ֖חְנוּ הַבָּשָֽׂר׃ Which say, It is not near; let us build houses: this city is the caldron, and we be the flesh. |
| 4 | δια τουτο προφητευσον επ αυτους προφητευσον υιε ανθρωπου ָכֵ֖ן הִנָּבֵ֣א עֲלֵיהֶ֑ם הִנָּבֵ֖א בֶּן־אָדָֽם׃ Therefore prophesy against them, prophesy, O son of man. |
| 5 | και επεσεν επ εμε πνευμα κυριου και ειπεν προς με λεγε ταδε λεγει κυριος ουτως ειπατε οικος ισραηλ και τα διαβουλια του πνευματος υμων εγω επισταμαι ַתִּפֹּ֣ל עָלַי֮ ר֣וּחַ יְהוָה֒ וַיֹּ֣אמֶר אֵלַ֗י אֱמֹר֙ כֹּה־אָמַ֣ר יְהוָ֔ה כֵּ֥ן אֲמַרְתֶּ֖ם בֵּ֣ית יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל וּמַעֲל֥וֹת רֽוּחֲכֶ֖ם אֲנִ֥י יְדַעְתִּֽיהָ׃ And the Spirit of the LORD fell upon me, and said unto me, Speak; Thus says the LORD; Thus have all of you said, O house of Israel: for I know the things that come into your mind, every one of them. |
| 6 | επληθυνατε νεκρους υμων εν τη πολει ταυτη και ενεπλησατε τας οδους αυτης τραυματιων ִרְבֵּיתֶ֥ם חַלְלֵיכֶ֖ם בָּעִ֣יר הַזֹּ֑את וּמִלֵּאתֶ֥ם חוּצֹתֶ֖יהָ חָלָֽל׃ פ All of you have multiplied your slain in this city, and all of you have filled the streets thereof with the slain. |
| 7 | δια τουτο ταδε λεγει κυριος τους νεκρους υμων ους επαταξατε εν μεσω αυτης ουτοι εισιν τα κρεα αυτη δε ο λεβης εστιν και υμας εξαξω εκ μεσου αυτης ָכֵ֗ן כֹּֽה־אָמַר֮ אֲדֹנָ֣י יְהוִה֒ חַלְלֵיכֶם֙ אֲשֶׁ֣ר שַׂמְתֶּ֣ם בְּתוֹכָ֔הּ הֵ֥מָּה הַבָּשָׂ֖ר וְהִ֣יא הַסִּ֑יר וְאֶתְכֶ֖ם הוֹצִ֥יא מִתּוֹכָֽהּ׃ Therefore thus says the Lord GOD; Your slain whom all of you have laid in the midst of it, they are the flesh, and this city is the caldron: but I will bring you forth out of the midst of it. |
| 8 | ρομφαιαν φοβεισθε και ρομφαιαν επαξω εφ υμας λεγει κυριος ֶ֖רֶב יְרֵאתֶ֑ם וְחֶ֙רֶב֙ אָבִ֣יא עֲלֵיכֶ֔ם נְאֻ֖ם אֲדֹנָ֥י יְהוִֽה׃ All of you have feared the sword; and I will bring a sword upon you, says the Lord GOD. |
| 9 | και εξαξω υμας εκ μεσου αυτης και παραδωσω υμας εις χειρας αλλοτριων και ποιησω εν υμιν κριματα ְהוֹצֵאתִ֤י אֶתְכֶם֙ מִתּוֹכָ֔הּ וְנָתַתִּ֥י אֶתְכֶ֖ם בְּיַד־זָרִ֑ים וְעָשִׂ֛יתִי בָכֶ֖ם שְׁפָטִֽים׃ And I will bring you out of the midst thereof, and deliver you into the hands of strangers, and will execute judgments among you. |
| 10 | εν ρομφαια πεσεισθε επι των οριων του ισραηλ κρινω υμας και επιγνωσεσθε οτι εγω κυριος ַּחֶ֣רֶב תִּפֹּ֔לוּ עַל־גְּב֥וּל יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל אֶשְׁפּ֣וֹט אֶתְכֶ֑ם וִֽידַעְתֶּ֖ם כִּֽי־אֲנִ֥י יְהוָֽה׃ All of you shall fall by the sword; I will judge you in the border of Israel; and all of you shall know that I am the LORD. |
| 11 | αυτη υμιν ουκ εσται εις λεβητα και υμεις ου μη γενησθε εν μεσω αυτης εις κρεα επι των οριων του ισραηλ κρινω υμας ִ֗יא לֹֽא־תִהְיֶ֤ה לָכֶם֙ לְסִ֔יר וְאַתֶּ֛ם תִּהְי֥וּ בְתוֹכָ֖הּ לְבָשָׂ֑ר אֶל־גְּב֥וּל יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל אֶשְׁפֹּ֥ט אֶתְכֶֽם׃ This city shall not be your caldron, neither shall all of you be the flesh in the midst thereof; but I will judge you in the border of Israel: |
| 12 | και επιγνωσεσθε διοτι εγω κυριος ִֽידַעְתֶּם֙ כִּֽי־אֲנִ֣י יְהוָ֔ה אֲשֶׁ֤ר בְּחֻקַּי֙ לֹ֣א הֲלַכְתֶּ֔ם וּמִשְׁפָּטַ֖י לֹ֣א עֲשִׂיתֶ֑ם וּֽכְמִשְׁפְּטֵ֧י הַגּוֹיִ֛ם אֲשֶׁ֥ר סְבִיבוֹתֵיכֶ֖ם עֲשִׂיתֶֽם׃ And all of you shall know that I am the LORD: for all of you have not walked in my statutes, neither executed my judgments, but have done after the manners of the heathen that are round about you. |
| 13 | και εγενετο εν τω προφητευειν με και φαλτιας ο του βαναιου απεθανεν και πιπτω επι προσωπον μου και ανεβοησα φωνη μεγαλη και ειπα οιμμοι οιμμοι κυριε εις συντελειαν συ ποιεις τους καταλοιπους του ισραηλ ַֽיְהִי֙ כְּהִנָּ֣בְאִ֔י וּפְלַטְיָ֥הוּ בֶן־בְּנָיָ֖ה מֵ֑ת וָאֶפֹּ֨ל עַל־פָּנַ֜י וָאֶזְעַ֣ק קוֹל־גָּד֗וֹל וָאֹמַר֙ אֲהָהּ֙ אֲדֹנָ֣י יְהוִ֔ה כָּלָה֙ אַתָּ֣ה עֹשֶׂ֔ה אֵ֖ת שְׁאֵרִ֥ית יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃ פ And it came to pass, when I prophesied, that Pelatiah the son of Benaiah died. Then fell I down upon my face, and cried with a loud voice, and said, Ah Lord GOD! will you make a full end of the remnant of Israel? |
| 14 | The Promise of Israel’s Returnκαι εγενετο λογος κυριου προς με λεγωνַיְהִ֥י דְבַר־יְהוָ֖ה אֵלַ֥י לֵאמֹֽר׃ Again the word of the LORD came unto me, saying, |
| 15 | υιε ανθρωπου οι αδελφοι σου και οι ανδρες της αιχμαλωσιας σου και πας ο οικος του ισραηλ συντετελεσται οις ειπαν αυτοις οι κατοικουντες ιερουσαλημ μακραν απεχετε απο του κυριου ημιν δεδοται η γη εις κληρονομιαν ֶּן־אָדָ֗ם אַחֶ֤יךָ אַחֶ֙יךָ֙ אַנְשֵׁ֣י גְאֻלָּתֶ֔ךָ וְכָל־בֵּ֥ית יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל כֻּלֹּ֑ה אֲשֶׁר֩ אָמְר֨וּ לָהֶ֜ם יֹשְׁבֵ֣י יְרוּשָׁלִַ֗ם רַֽחֲקוּ֙ מֵעַ֣ל יְהוָ֔ה לָ֥נוּ הִ֛יא נִתְּנָ֥ה הָאָ֖רֶץ לְמוֹרָשָֽׁה׃ ס Son of man, your brethren, even your brethren, the men of your kindred, and all the house of Israel wholly, are they unto whom the inhabitants of Jerusalem have said, Get you far from the LORD: unto us is this land given in possession. |
| 16 | δια τουτο ειπον ταδε λεγει κυριος οτι απωσομαι αυτους εις τα εθνη και διασκορπιω αυτους εις πασαν την γην και εσομαι αυτοις εις αγιασμα μικρον εν ταις χωραις ου αν εισελθωσιν εκει ָכֵ֣ן אֱמֹ֗ר כֹּֽה־אָמַר֮ אֲדֹנָ֣י יְהוִה֒ כִּ֤י הִרְחַקְתִּים֙ בַּגּוֹיִ֔ם וְכִ֥י הֲפִֽיצוֹתִ֖ים בָּאֲרָצ֑וֹת וָאֱהִ֤י לָהֶם֙ לְמִקְדָּ֣שׁ מְעַ֔ט בָּאֲרָצ֖וֹת אֲשֶׁר־בָּ֥אוּ שָֽׁם׃ ס Therefore say, Thus says the Lord GOD; Although I have cast them far off among the heathen, and although I have scattered them among the countries, yet will I be to them as a little sanctuary in the countries where they shall come. |
| 17 | δια τουτο ειπον ταδε λεγει κυριος και εισδεξομαι αυτους εκ των εθνων και συναξω αυτους εκ των χωρων ου διεσπειρα αυτους εν αυταις και δωσω αυτοις την γην του ισραηλ ָכֵ֣ן אֱמֹ֗ר כֹּֽה־אָמַר֮ אֲדֹנָ֣י יְהוִה֒ וְקִבַּצְתִּ֤י אֶתְכֶם֙ מִן־הָ֣עַמִּ֔ים וְאָסַפְתִּ֣י אֶתְכֶ֔ם מִן־הָ֣אֲרָצ֔וֹת אֲשֶׁ֥ר נְפֹצוֹתֶ֖ם בָּהֶ֑ם וְנָתַתִּ֥י לָכֶ֖ם אֶת־אַדְמַ֥ת יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃ Therefore say, Thus says the Lord GOD; I will even gather you from the people, and assemble you out of the countries where all of you have been scattered, and I will give you the land of Israel. |
| 18 | και εισελευσονται εκει και εξαρουσιν παντα τα βδελυγματα αυτης και πασας τας ανομιας αυτης εξ αυτης ּבָ֖אוּ־שָׁ֑מָּה וְהֵסִ֜ירוּ אֶת־כָּל־שִׁקּוּצֶ֛יהָ וְאֶת־כָּל־תּוֹעֲבוֹתֶ֖יהָ מִמֶּֽנָּה׃ And they shall come thither, and they shall take away all the detestable things thereof and all the abominations thereof from thence. |
| 19 | και δωσω αυτοις καρδιαν ετεραν και πνευμα καινον δωσω εν αυτοις και εκσπασω την καρδιαν την λιθινην εκ της σαρκος αυτων και δωσω αυτοις καρδιαν σαρκινην ְנָתַתִּ֤י לָהֶם֙ לֵ֣ב אֶחָ֔ד וְר֥וּחַ חֲדָשָׁ֖ה אֶתֵּ֣ן בְּקִרְבְּכֶ֑ם וַהֲסִ֨רֹתִ֜י לֵ֤ב הָאֶ֙בֶן֙ מִבְּשָׂרָ֔ם וְנָתַתִּ֥י לָהֶ֖ם לֵ֥ב בָּשָֽׂר׃ And I will give them one heart, and I will put a new spirit within you; and I will take the stony heart out of their flesh, and will give them an heart of flesh: |
| 20 | οπως εν τοις προσταγμασιν μου πορευωνται και τα δικαιωματα μου φυλασσωνται και ποιωσιν αυτα και εσονται μοι εις λαον και εγω εσομαι αυτοις εις θεον ְמַ֙עַן֙ בְּחֻקֹּתַ֣י יֵלֵ֔כוּ וְאֶת־מִשְׁפָּטַ֥י יִשְׁמְר֖וּ וְעָשׂ֣וּ אֹתָ֑ם וְהָיוּ־לִ֣י לְעָ֔ם וַאֲנִ֕י אֶהְיֶ֥ה לָהֶ֖ם לֵאלֹהִֽים׃ That they may walk in my statutes, and keep mine ordinances, and do them: and they shall be my people, and I will be their God. |
| 21 | και εις την καρδιαν των βδελυγματων αυτων και των ανομιων αυτων ως η καρδια αυτων επορευετο τας οδους αυτων εις κεφαλας αυτων δεδωκα λεγει κυριος ְאֶל־לֵ֧ב שִׁקּוּצֵיהֶ֛ם וְתוֹעֲבוֹתֵיהֶ֖ם לִבָּ֣ם הֹלֵ֑ךְ דַּרְכָּם֙ בְּרֹאשָׁ֣ם נָתַ֔תִּי נְאֻ֖ם אֲדֹנָ֥י יְהוִֽה׃ But as for them whose heart walks after the heart of their detestable things and their abominations, I will recompense their way upon their own heads, says the Lord GOD. |
| 22 | και εξηραν τα χερουβιν τας πτερυγας αυτων και οι τροχοι εχομενοι αυτων και η δοξα θεου ισραηλ επ αυτα υπερανω αυτων ַיִּשְׂא֤וּ הַכְּרוּבִים֙ אֶת־כַּנְפֵיהֶ֔ם וְהָאֽוֹפַנִּ֖ים לְעֻמָּתָ֑ם וּכְב֧וֹד אֱלֹהֵֽי־יִשְׂרָאֵ֛ל עֲלֵיהֶ֖ם מִלְמָֽעְלָה׃ Then did the cherubims lift up their wings, and the wheels beside them; and the glory of the God of Israel was over them above. |
| 23 | και ανεβη η δοξα κυριου εκ μεσης της πολεως και εστη επι του ορους ο ην απεναντι της πολεως ַיַּ֙עַל֙ כְּב֣וֹד יְהוָ֔ה מֵעַ֖ל תּ֣וֹךְ הָעִ֑יר וַֽיַּעֲמֹד֙ עַל־הָהָ֔ר אֲשֶׁ֖ר מִקֶּ֥דֶם לָעִֽיר׃ And the glory of the LORD went up from the midst of the city, and stood upon the mountain which is on the east side of the city. |
| 24 | και ανελαβεν με πνευμα και ηγαγεν με εις γην χαλδαιων εις την αιχμαλωσιαν εν ορασει εν πνευματι θεου και ανεβην απο της ορασεως ης ειδον ְר֣וּחַ נְשָׂאַ֗תְנִי וַתְּבִיאֵ֤נִי כַשְׂדִּ֙ימָה֙ אֶל־הַגּוֹלָ֔ה בַּמַּרְאֶ֖ה בְּר֣וּחַ אֱלֹהִ֑ים וַיַּ֙עַל֙ מֵֽעָלַ֔י הַמַּרְאֶ֖ה אֲשֶׁ֥ר רָאִֽיתִי׃ Afterwards the spirit took me up, and brought me in a vision by the Spirit of God into Chaldea, to them of the captivity. So the vision that I had seen went up from me. |
| 25 | και ελαλησα προς την αιχμαλωσιαν παντας τους λογους του κυριου ους εδειξεν μοι ָאֲדַבֵּ֖ר אֶל־הַגּוֹלָ֑ה אֵ֛ת כָּל־דִּבְרֵ֥י יְהוָ֖ה אֲשֶׁ֥ר הֶרְאָֽנִי׃ פ Then I spoke unto them of the captivity all the things that the LORD had showed me. |
