1 ιδετε ως ο δικαιος απωλετο και ουδεις εκδεχεται τη καρδια και ανδρες δικαιοι αιρονται και ουδεις κατανοει απο γαρ προσωπου αδικιας ηρται ο δικαιος
ַצַּדִּ֣יק אָבָ֔ד וְאֵ֥ין אִ֖ישׁ שָׂ֣ם עַל־לֵ֑ב וְאַנְשֵׁי־חֶ֤סֶד נֶֽאֱסָפִים֙ בְּאֵ֣ין מֵבִ֔ין כִּֽי־מִפְּנֵ֥י הָרָעָ֖ה נֶאֱסַ֥ף הַצַּדִּֽיק׃
The righteous perishes, and no man lays it to heart: and merciful men are taken away, none considering that the righteous is taken away from the evil to come.
2 εσται εν ειρηνη η ταφη αυτου ηρται εκ του μεσου
ָב֣וֹא שָׁל֔וֹם יָנ֖וּחוּ עַל־מִשְׁכְּבוֹתָ֑ם הֹלֵ֖ךְ נְכֹחֽוֹ׃
He shall enter into peace: they shall rest in their beds, each one walking in his uprightness.
3 υμεις δε προσαγαγετε ωδε υιοι ανομοι σπερμα μοιχων και πορνης
ְאַתֶּ֥ם קִרְבוּ־הֵ֖נָּה בְּנֵ֣י עֹנְנָ֑ה זֶ֥רַע מְנָאֵ֖ף וַתִּזְנֶֽה׃
But draw near here, all of you sons of the sorceress, the seed of the adulterer and the whore.
4 εν τινι ενετρυφησατε και επι τινα ηνοιξατε το στομα υμων και επι τινα εχαλασατε την γλωσσαν υμων ουχ υμεις εστε τεκνα απωλειας σπερμα ανομον
ַל־מִי֙ תִּתְעַנָּ֔גוּ עַל־מִ֛י תַּרְחִ֥יבוּ פֶ֖ה תַּאֲרִ֣יכוּ לָשׁ֑וֹן הֲלֽוֹא־אַתֶּ֥ם יִלְדֵי־פֶ֖שַׁע זֶ֥רַע שָֽׁקֶר׃
Against whom do all of you sport yourselves? against whom make all of you a wide mouth, and draw out the tongue? are all of you not children of transgression, a seed of falsehood.
5 οι παρακαλουντες επι τα ειδωλα υπο δενδρα δασεα σφαζοντες τα τεκνα αυτων εν ταις φαραγξιν ανα μεσον των πετρων
ַנֵּֽחָמִים֙ בָּֽאֵלִ֔ים תַּ֖חַת כָּל־עֵ֣ץ רַעֲנָ֑ן שֹׁחֲטֵ֤י הַיְלָדִים֙ בַּנְּחָלִ֔ים תַּ֖חַת סְעִפֵ֥י הַסְּלָעִֽים׃
Enflaming yourselves with idols under every green tree, slaying the children in the valleys under the clefts of the rocks?
6 εκεινη σου η μερις ουτος σου ο κληρος κακεινοις εξεχεας σπονδας κακεινοις ανηνεγκας θυσιας επι τουτοις ουν ουκ οργισθησομαι
ְּחַלְּקֵי־נַ֣חַל חֶלְקֵ֔ךְ הֵ֥ם הֵ֖ם גּוֹרָלֵ֑ךְ גַּם־לָהֶ֞ם שָׁפַ֥כְתְּ נֶ֙סֶךְ֙ הֶעֱלִ֣ית מִנְחָ֔ה הַ֥עַל אֵ֖לֶּה אֶנָּחֵֽם׃
Among the smooth stones of the stream is your portion; they, they are your lot: even to them have you poured a drink offering, you have offered a food offering. Should I receive comfort in these?
7 επ ορος υψηλον και μετεωρον εκει σου η κοιτη κακει ανεβιβασας θυσιας
ַ֤ל הַר־גָּבֹ֙הַּ֙ וְנִשָּׂ֔א שַׂ֖מְתְּ מִשְׁכָּבֵ֑ךְ גַּם־שָׁ֥ם עָלִ֖ית לִזְבֹּ֥חַ זָֽבַח׃
Upon a lofty and high mountain have you set your bed: even thither went you up to offer sacrifice.
8 και οπισω των σταθμων της θυρας σου εθηκας μνημοσυνα σου ωου οτι εαν απ εμου αποστης πλειον τι εξεις ηγαπησας τους κοιμωμενους μετα σου
ְאַחַ֤ר הַדֶּ֙לֶת֙ וְהַמְּזוּזָ֔ה שַׂ֖מְתְּ זִכְרוֹנֵ֑ךְ כִּ֣י מֵאִתִּ֞י גִּלִּ֣ית וַֽתַּעֲלִ֗י הִרְחַ֤בְתְּ מִשְׁכָּבֵךְ֙ וַתִּכְרָת־לָ֣ךְ מֵהֶ֔ם אָהַ֥בְתְּ מִשְׁכָּבָ֖ם יָ֥ד חָזִֽית׃
Behind the doors also and the posts have you set up your remembrance: for you have discovered yourself to another than me, and are gone up; you have enlarged your bed, and made you a covenant with them; you loved their bed where you saw it.
9 και επληθυνας την πορνειαν σου μετ αυτων και πολλους εποιησας τους μακραν απο σου και απεστειλας πρεσβεις υπερ τα ορια σου και απεστρεψας και εταπεινωθης εως αδου
ַתָּשֻׁ֤רִי לַמֶּ֙לֶךְ֙ בַּשֶּׁ֔מֶן וַתַּרְבִּ֖י רִקֻּחָ֑יִךְ וַתְּשַׁלְּחִ֤י צִרַ֙יִךְ֙ עַד־מֵ֣רָחֹ֔ק וַתַּשְׁפִּ֖ילִי עַד־שְׁאֽוֹל׃
And you went to the king with ointment, and did increase your perfumes, and did send your messengers far off, and did debase yourself even unto hell.
10 ταις πολυοδιαις σου εκοπιασας και ουκ ειπας παυσομαι ενισχυουσα οτι επραξας ταυτα δια τουτο ου κατεδεηθης μου
ְּרֹ֤ב דַּרְכֵּךְ֙ יָגַ֔עַתְּ לֹ֥א אָמַ֖רְתְּ נוֹאָ֑שׁ חַיַּ֤ת יָדֵךְ֙ מָצָ֔את עַל־כֵּ֖ן לֹ֥א חָלִֽית׃
You are wearied in the greatness of your way; yet said you not, There is no hope: you have found the life of yours hand; therefore you were not grieved.
11 συ τινα ευλαβηθεισα εφοβηθης και εψευσω με και ουκ εμνησθης μου ουδε ελαβες με εις την διανοιαν ουδε εις την καρδιαν σου καγω σε ιδων παρορω και εμε ουκ εφοβηθης
ְאֶת־מִ֞י דָּאַ֤גְתְּ וַתִּֽירְאִי֙ כִּ֣י תְכַזֵּ֔בִי וְאוֹתִי֙ לֹ֣א זָכַ֔רְתְּ לֹא־שַׂ֖מְתְּ עַל־לִבֵּ֑ךְ הֲלֹ֨א אֲנִ֤י מַחְשֶׁה֙ וּמֵ֣עֹלָ֔ם וְאוֹתִ֖י לֹ֥א תִירָֽאִי׃
And of whom have you been afraid or feared, that you have lied, and have not remembered me, nor laid it to your heart? have not I held my peace even of old, and you fear me not?
12 καγω απαγγελω την δικαιοσυνην μου και τα κακα σου α ουκ ωφελησουσιν σε
ֲנִ֥י אַגִּ֖יד צִדְקָתֵ֑ךְ וְאֶֽת־מַעֲשַׂ֖יִךְ וְלֹ֥א יוֹעִילֽוּךְ׃
I will declare your righteousness, and your works; for they shall not profit you.
13 οταν αναβοησης εξελεσθωσαν σε εν τη θλιψει σου τουτους γαρ παντας ανεμος λημψεται και αποισει καταιγις οι δε αντεχομενοι μου κτησονται γην και κληρονομησουσιν το ορος το αγιον μου
ְּזַֽעֲקֵךְ֙ יַצִּילֻ֣ךְ קִבּוּצַ֔יִךְ וְאֶת־כֻּלָּ֥ם יִשָּׂא־ר֖וּחַ יִקַּח־הָ֑בֶל וְהַחוֹסֶ֥ה בִי֙ יִנְחַל־אֶ֔רֶץ וְיִירַ֖שׁ הַר־קָדְשִֽׁי׃
When you cry, let your companies deliver you; but the wind shall carry them all away; vanity shall take them: but he that puts his trust in me shall possess the land, and shall inherit my holy mountain;

Comfort for the Contrite
και ερουσιν καθαρισατε απο προσωπου αυτου οδους και αρατε σκωλα απο της οδου του λαου μου
ְאָמַ֥ר סֹֽלּוּ־סֹ֖לּוּ פַּנּוּ־דָ֑רֶךְ הָרִ֥ימוּ מִכְשׁ֖וֹל מִדֶּ֥רֶךְ עַמִּֽי׃ ס
And shall say, Cast all of you up, cast all of you up, prepare the way, take up the stumbling block out of the way of my people.
15 ταδε λεγει κυριος ο υψιστος ο εν υψηλοις κατοικων τον αιωνα αγιος εν αγιοις ονομα αυτω κυριος υψιστος εν αγιοις αναπαυομενος και ολιγοψυχοις διδους μακροθυμιαν και διδους ζωην τοις συντετριμμενοις την καρδιαν
ִּי֩ כֹ֨ה אָמַ֜ר רָ֣ם וְנִשָּׂ֗א שֹׁכֵ֥ן עַד֙ וְקָד֣וֹשׁ שְׁמ֔וֹ מָר֥וֹם וְקָד֖וֹשׁ אֶשְׁכּ֑וֹן וְאֶת־דַּכָּא֙ וּשְׁפַל־ר֔וּחַ לְהַחֲיוֹת֙ ר֣וּחַ שְׁפָלִ֔ים וּֽלְהַחֲי֖וֹת לֵ֥ב נִדְכָּאִֽים׃
For thus says the high and lofty One that inhabits eternity, whose name is Holy; I dwell in the high and holy place, with him also that is of a contrite and humble spirit, to revive the spirit of the humble, and to revive the heart of the contrite ones.
16 ουκ εις τον αιωνα εκδικησω υμας ουδε δια παντος οργισθησομαι υμιν πνευμα γαρ παρ εμου εξελευσεται και πνοην πασαν εγω εποιησα
ִּ֣י לֹ֤א לְעוֹלָם֙ אָרִ֔יב וְלֹ֥א לָנֶ֖צַח אֶקְּצ֑וֹף כִּי־ר֙וּחַ֙ מִלְּפָנַ֣י יַֽעֲט֔וֹף וּנְשָׁמ֖וֹת אֲנִ֥י עָשִֽׂיתִי׃
For I will not contend for ever, neither will I be always angry: for the spirit should fail before me, and the souls which I have made.
17 δι αμαρτιαν βραχυ τι ελυπησα αυτον και επαταξα αυτον και απεστρεψα το προσωπον μου απ αυτου και ελυπηθη και επορευθη στυγνος εν ταις οδοις αυτου
ַּעֲוֺ֥ן בִּצְע֛וֹ קָצַ֥פְתִּי וְאַכֵּ֖הוּ הַסְתֵּ֣ר וְאֶקְצֹ֑ף וַיֵּ֥לֶךְ שׁוֹבָ֖ב בְּדֶ֥רֶךְ לִבּֽוֹ׃
For the iniquity of his covetousness was I angry, and stroke him: I hid me, and was angry, and he went on perversely in the way of his heart.
18 τας οδους αυτου εωρακα και ιασαμην αυτον και παρεκαλεσα αυτον και εδωκα αυτω παρακλησιν αληθινην
ְּרָכָ֥יו רָאִ֖יתִי וְאֶרְפָּאֵ֑הוּ וְאַנְחֵ֕הוּ וַאֲשַׁלֵּ֧ם נִֽחֻמִ֛ים ל֖וֹ וְלַאֲבֵלָֽיו׃
I have seen his ways, and will heal him: I will lead him also, and restore comforts unto him and to his mourners.
19 ειρηνην επ ειρηνην τοις μακραν και τοις εγγυς ουσιν και ειπεν κυριος ιασομαι αυτους
ּוֹרֵ֖א *נוב **נִ֣יב שְׂפָתָ֑יִם שָׁל֨וֹם ׀ שָׁל֜וֹם לָרָח֧וֹק וְלַקָּר֛וֹב אָמַ֥ר יְהוָ֖ה וּרְפָאתִֽיו׃
I create the fruit of the lips; Peace, peace to him that is far off, and to him that is near, says the LORD; and I will heal him.
20 οι δε αδικοι ουτως κλυδωνισθησονται και αναπαυσασθαι ου δυνησονται
ְהָרְשָׁעִ֖ים כַּיָּ֣ם נִגְרָ֑שׁ כִּ֤י הַשְׁקֵט֙ לֹ֣א יוּכָ֔ל וַיִּגְרְשׁ֥וּ מֵימָ֖יו רֶ֥פֶשׁ וָטִֽיט׃
But the wicked are like the troubled sea, when it cannot rest, whose waters cast up mire and dirt.
21 ουκ εστιν χαιρειν τοις ασεβεσιν ειπεν κυριος ο θεος
ֵ֣ין שָׁל֔וֹם אָמַ֥ר אֱלֹהַ֖י לָרְשָׁעִֽים׃ ס
There is no peace, says my God, to the wicked.
