Invitation to the Thirsty
οι διψωντες πορευεσθε εφ υδωρ και οσοι μη εχετε αργυριον βαδισαντες αγορασατε και πιετε ανευ αργυριου και τιμης οινου και στεαρ
֤וֹי כָּל־צָמֵא֙ לְכ֣וּ לַמַּ֔יִם וַאֲשֶׁ֥ר אֵֽין־ל֖וֹ כָּ֑סֶף לְכ֤וּ שִׁבְרוּ֙ וֶֽאֱכֹ֔לוּ וּלְכ֣וּ שִׁבְר֗וּ בְּלוֹא־כֶ֛סֶף וּבְל֥וֹא מְחִ֖יר יַ֥יִן וְחָלָֽב׃
Ho, every one that thirsts, come all of you to the waters, and he that has no money; come all of you, buy, and eat; yea, come, buy wine and milk without money and without price.
2 ινα τι τιμασθε αργυριου και τον μοχθον υμων ουκ εις πλησμονην ακουσατε μου και φαγεσθε αγαθα και εντρυφησει εν αγαθοις η ψυχη υμων
ָ֤מָּה תִשְׁקְלוּ־כֶ֙סֶף֙ בְּֽלוֹא־לֶ֔חֶם וִיגִיעֲכֶ֖ם בְּל֣וֹא לְשָׂבְעָ֑ה שִׁמְע֨וּ שָׁמ֤וֹעַ אֵלַי֙ וְאִכְלוּ־ט֔וֹב וְתִתְעַנַּ֥ג בַּדֶּ֖שֶׁן נַפְשְׁכֶֽם׃
Wherefore do all of you spend money for that which is not bread? and your labour for that which satisfies not? hearken diligently unto me, and eat all of you that which is good, and let your soul delight itself in fatness.
3 προσεχετε τοις ωτιοις υμων και επακολουθησατε ταις οδοις μου επακουσατε μου και ζησεται εν αγαθοις η ψυχη υμων και διαθησομαι υμιν διαθηκην αιωνιον τα οσια δαυιδ τα πιστα
ַטּ֤וּ אָזְנְכֶם֙ וּלְכ֣וּ אֵלַ֔י שִׁמְע֖וּ וּתְחִ֣י נַפְשְׁכֶ֑ם וְאֶכְרְתָ֤ה לָכֶם֙ בְּרִ֣ית עוֹלָ֔ם חַֽסְדֵ֥י דָוִ֖ד הַנֶּאֱמָנִֽים׃
Incline your ear, and come unto me: hear, and your soul shall live; and I will make an everlasting covenant with you, even the sure mercies of David.
4 ιδου μαρτυριον εν εθνεσιν δεδωκα αυτον αρχοντα και προστασσοντα εθνεσιν
ֵ֛ן עֵ֥ד לְאוּמִּ֖ים נְתַתִּ֑יו נָגִ֥יד וּמְצַוֵּ֖ה לְאֻמִּֽים׃
Behold, I have given him for a witness to the people, a leader and commander to the people.
5 εθνη α ουκ ηδεισαν σε επικαλεσονται σε και λαοι οι ουκ επιστανται σε επι σε καταφευξονται ενεκεν του θεου σου του αγιου ισραηλ οτι εδοξασεν σε
ֵ֣ן גּ֤וֹי לֹֽא־תֵדַע֙ תִּקְרָ֔א וְג֥וֹי לֹֽא־יְדָע֖וּךָ אֵלֶ֣יךָ יָר֑וּצוּ לְמַ֙עַן֙ יְהוָ֣ה אֱלֹהֶ֔יךָ וְלִקְד֥וֹשׁ יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל כִּ֥י פֵאֲרָֽךְ׃ ס
Behold, you shall call a nation that you know not, and nations that knew not you shall run unto you because of the LORD your God, and for the Holy One of Israel; for he has glorified you.
6 ζητησατε τον θεον και εν τω ευρισκειν αυτον επικαλεσασθε ηνικα δ αν εγγιζη υμιν
ִּרְשׁ֥וּ יְהוָ֖ה בְּהִמָּצְא֑וֹ קְרָאֻ֖הוּ בִּֽהְיוֹת֥וֹ קָרֽוֹב׃
Seek all of you the LORD while he may be found, call all of you upon him while he is near:
7 απολιπετω ο ασεβης τας οδους αυτου και ανηρ ανομος τας βουλας αυτου και επιστραφητω επι κυριον και ελεηθησεται οτι επι πολυ αφησει τας αμαρτιας υμων
ַעֲזֹ֤ב רָשָׁע֙ דַּרְכּ֔וֹ וְאִ֥ישׁ אָ֖וֶן מַחְשְׁבֹתָ֑יו וְיָשֹׁ֤ב אֶל־יְהוָה֙ וִֽירַחֲמֵ֔הוּ וְאֶל־אֱלֹהֵ֖ינוּ כִּֽי־יַרְבֶּ֥ה לִסְלֽוֹחַ׃
Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the LORD, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.
8 ου γαρ εισιν αι βουλαι μου ωσπερ αι βουλαι υμων ουδε ωσπερ αι οδοι υμων αι οδοι μου λεγει κυριος
ִּ֣י לֹ֤א מַחְשְׁבוֹתַי֙ מַחְשְׁב֣וֹתֵיכֶ֔ם וְלֹ֥א דַרְכֵיכֶ֖ם דְּרָכָ֑י נְאֻ֖ם יְהוָֽה׃
For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, says the LORD.
9 αλλ ως απεχει ο ουρανος απο της γης ουτως απεχει η οδος μου απο των οδων υμων και τα διανοηματα υμων απο της διανοιας μου
ִּֽי־גָבְה֥וּ שָׁמַ֖יִם מֵאָ֑רֶץ כֵּ֣ן גָּבְה֤וּ דְרָכַי֙ מִדַּרְכֵיכֶ֔ם וּמַחְשְׁבֹתַ֖י מִמַּחְשְׁבֹתֵיכֶֽם׃
For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.
10 ως γαρ εαν καταβη υετος η χιων εκ του ουρανου και ου μη αποστραφη εως αν μεθυση την γην και εκτεκη και εκβλαστηση και δω σπερμα τω σπειροντι και αρτον εις βρωσιν
ִּ֡י כַּאֲשֶׁ֣ר יֵרֵד֩ הַגֶּ֨שֶׁם וְהַשֶּׁ֜לֶג מִן־הַשָּׁמַ֗יִם וְשָׁ֙מָּה֙ לֹ֣א יָשׁ֔וּב כִּ֚י אִם־הִרְוָ֣ה אֶת־הָאָ֔רֶץ וְהוֹלִידָ֖הּ וְהִצְמִיחָ֑הּ וְנָ֤תַן זֶ֙רַע֙ לַזֹּרֵ֔עַ וְלֶ֖חֶם לָאֹכֵֽל׃
For as the rain comes down, and the snow from heaven, and returns not thither, but waters the earth, and makes it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater:
11 ουτως εσται το ρημα μου ο εαν εξελθη εκ του στοματος μου ου μη αποστραφη εως αν συντελεσθη οσα ηθελησα και ευοδωσω τας οδους σου και τα ενταλματα μου
ֵּ֣ן יִֽהְיֶ֤ה דְבָרִי֙ אֲשֶׁ֣ר יֵצֵ֣א מִפִּ֔י לֹֽא־יָשׁ֥וּב אֵלַ֖י רֵיקָ֑ם כִּ֤י אִם־עָשָׂה֙ אֶת־אֲשֶׁ֣ר חָפַ֔צְתִּי וְהִצְלִ֖יחַ אֲשֶׁ֥ר שְׁלַחְתִּֽיו׃
So shall my word be that goes forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.
12 εν γαρ ευφροσυνη εξελευσεσθε και εν χαρα διδαχθησεσθε τα γαρ ορη και οι βουνοι εξαλουνται προσδεχομενοι υμας εν χαρα και παντα τα ξυλα του αγρου επικροτησει τοις κλαδοις
ִּֽי־בְשִׂמְחָ֣ה תֵצֵ֔אוּ וּבְשָׁל֖וֹם תּֽוּבָל֑וּן הֶהָרִ֣ים וְהַגְּבָע֗וֹת יִפְצְח֤וּ לִפְנֵיכֶם֙ רִנָּ֔ה וְכָל־עֲצֵ֥י הַשָּׂדֶ֖ה יִמְחֲאוּ־כָֽף׃
For all of you shall go out with joy, and be led forth with peace: the mountains and the hills shall break forth before you into singing, and all the trees of the field shall clap their hands.
13 και αντι της στοιβης αναβησεται κυπαρισσος αντι δε της κονυζης αναβησεται μυρσινη και εσται κυριος εις ονομα και εις σημειον αιωνιον και ουκ εκλειψει
ַּ֤חַת הַֽנַּעֲצוּץ֙ יַעֲלֶ֣ה בְר֔וֹשׁ *תחת **וְתַ֥חַת הַסִּרְפַּ֖ד יַעֲלֶ֣ה הֲדַ֑ס וְהָיָ֤ה לַֽיהוָה֙ לְשֵׁ֔ם לְא֥וֹת עוֹלָ֖ם לֹ֥א יִכָּרֵֽת׃ ס
Instead of the thorn shall come up the fir tree, and instead of the brier shall come up the myrtle tree: and it shall be to the LORD for a name, for an everlasting sign that shall not be cut off.
