Everlasting Salvation for Zion
ακουσατε μου οι διωκοντες το δικαιον και ζητουντες τον κυριον εμβλεψατε εις την στερεαν πετραν ην ελατομησατε και εις τον βοθυνον του λακκου ον ωρυξατε
ִׁמְע֥וּ אֵלַ֛י רֹ֥דְפֵי צֶ֖דֶק מְבַקְשֵׁ֣י יְהוָ֑ה הַבִּ֙יטוּ֙ אֶל־צ֣וּר חֻצַּבְתֶּ֔ם וְאֶל־מַקֶּ֥בֶת בּ֖וֹר נֻקַּרְתֶּֽם׃
Hearken to me, all of you that follow after righteousness, all of you that seek the LORD: look unto the rock whence all of you are hewn, and to the hole of the pit whence all of you are dug.
2 εμβλεψατε εις αβρααμ τον πατερα υμων και εις σαρραν την ωδινουσαν υμας οτι εις ην και εκαλεσα αυτον και ευλογησα αυτον και ηγαπησα αυτον και επληθυνα αυτον
ַבִּ֙יטוּ֙ אֶל־אַבְרָהָ֣ם אֲבִיכֶ֔ם וְאֶל־שָׂרָ֖ה תְּחוֹלֶלְכֶ֑ם כִּי־אֶחָ֣ד קְרָאתִ֔יו וַאֲבָרְכֵ֖הוּ וְאַרְבֵּֽהוּ׃ ס
Look unto Abraham your father, and unto Sarah that bare you: for I called him alone, and blessed him, and increased him.
3 και σε νυν παρακαλεσω σιων και παρεκαλεσα παντα τα ερημα αυτης και θησω τα ερημα αυτης ως παραδεισον κυριου ευφροσυνην και αγαλλιαμα ευρησουσιν εν αυτη εξομολογησιν και φωνην αινεσεως
ִּֽי־נִחַ֨ם יְהוָ֜ה צִיּ֗וֹן נִחַם֙ כָּל־חָרְבֹתֶ֔יהָ וַיָּ֤שֶׂם מִדְבָּרָהּ֙ כְּעֵ֔דֶן וְעַרְבָתָ֖הּ כְּגַן־יְהוָ֑ה שָׂשׂ֤וֹן וְשִׂמְחָה֙ יִמָּ֣צֵא בָ֔הּ תּוֹדָ֖ה וְק֥וֹל זִמְרָֽה׃ ס
For the LORD shall comfort Zion: he will comfort all her waste places; and he will make her wilderness like Eden, and her desert like the garden of the LORD; joy and gladness shall be found therein, thanksgiving, and the voice of melody.
4 ακουσατε μου ακουσατε λαος μου και οι βασιλεις προς με ενωτισασθε οτι νομος παρ εμου εξελευσεται και η κρισις μου εις φως εθνων
ַקְשִׁ֤יבוּ אֵלַי֙ עַמִּ֔י וּלְאוּמִּ֖י אֵלַ֣י הַאֲזִ֑ינוּ כִּ֤י תוֹרָה֙ מֵאִתִּ֣י תֵצֵ֔א וּמִשְׁפָּטִ֔י לְא֥וֹר עַמִּ֖ים אַרְגִּֽיעַ׃
Hearken unto me, my people; and give ear unto me, O my nation: for a law shall proceed from me, and I will make my judgment to rest for a light of the people.
5 εγγιζει ταχυ η δικαιοσυνη μου και εξελευσεται ως φως το σωτηριον μου και εις τον βραχιονα μου εθνη ελπιουσιν εμε νησοι υπομενουσιν και εις τον βραχιονα μου ελπιουσιν
ָר֤וֹב צִדְקִי֙ יָצָ֣א יִשְׁעִ֔י וּזְרֹעַ֖י עַמִּ֣ים יִשְׁפֹּ֑טוּ אֵלַי֙ אִיִּ֣ים יְקַוּ֔וּ וְאֶל־זְרֹעִ֖י יְיַחֵלֽוּן׃
My righteousness is near; my salvation is gone forth, and mine arms shall judge the people; the isles shall wait upon me, and on mine arm shall they trust.
6 αρατε εις τον ουρανον τους οφθαλμους υμων και εμβλεψατε εις την γην κατω οτι ο ουρανος ως καπνος εστερεωθη η δε γη ως ιματιον παλαιωθησεται οι δε κατοικουντες την γην ωσπερ ταυτα αποθανουνται το δε σωτηριον μου εις τον αιωνα εσται η δε δικαιοσυνη μου ου μη εκλιπη
ְׂאוּ֩ לַשָּׁמַ֨יִם עֵֽינֵיכֶ֜ם וְֽהַבִּ֧יטוּ אֶל־הָאָ֣רֶץ מִתַּ֗חַת כִּֽי־שָׁמַ֜יִם כֶּעָשָׁ֤ן נִמְלָ֙חוּ֙ וְהָאָ֙רֶץ֙ כַּבֶּ֣גֶד תִּבְלֶ֔ה וְיֹשְׁבֶ֖יהָ כְּמוֹ־כֵ֣ן יְמוּת֑וּן וִישֽׁוּעָתִי֙ לְעוֹלָ֣ם תִּֽהְיֶ֔ה וְצִדְקָתִ֖י לֹ֥א תֵחָֽת׃ ס
Lift up your eyes to the heavens, and look upon the earth beneath: for the heavens shall vanish away like smoke, and the earth shall wax old like a garment, and they that dwell therein shall die in like manner: but my salvation shall be for ever, and my righteousness shall not be abolished.
7 ακουσατε μου οι ειδοτες κρισιν λαος μου ου ο νομος μου εν τη καρδια υμων μη φοβεισθε ονειδισμον ανθρωπων και τω φαυλισμω αυτων μη ηττασθε
ִׁמְע֤וּ אֵלַי֙ יֹ֣דְעֵי צֶ֔דֶק עַ֖ם תּוֹרָתִ֣י בְלִבָּ֑ם אַל־תִּֽירְאוּ֙ חֶרְפַּ֣ת אֱנ֔וֹשׁ וּמִגִּדֻּפֹתָ֖ם אַל־תֵּחָֽתּוּ׃
Hearken unto me, all of you that know righteousness, the people in whose heart is my law; fear all of you not the reproach of men, neither be all of you afraid of their revilings.
8 ωσπερ γαρ ιματιον βρωθησεται υπο χρονου και ως ερια βρωθησεται υπο σητος η δε δικαιοσυνη μου εις τον αιωνα εσται το δε σωτηριον μου εις γενεας γενεων
ִּ֤י כַבֶּ֙גֶד֙ יֹאכְלֵ֣ם עָ֔שׁ וְכַצֶּ֖מֶר יֹאכְלֵ֣ם סָ֑ס וְצִדְקָתִי֙ לְעוֹלָ֣ם תִּֽהְיֶ֔ה וִישׁוּעָתִ֖י לְד֥וֹר דּוֹרִֽים׃ ס
For the moth shall eat them up like a garment, and the worm shall eat them like wool: but my righteousness shall be for ever, and my salvation from generation to generation.
9 εξεγειρου εξεγειρου ιερουσαλημ και ενδυσαι την ισχυν του βραχιονος σου εξεγειρου ως εν αρχη ημερας ως γενεα αιωνος ου συ ει
וּרִ֨י עוּרִ֤י לִבְשִׁי־עֹז֙ זְר֣וֹעַ יְהוָ֔ה ע֚וּרִי כִּ֣ימֵי קֶ֔דֶם דֹּר֖וֹת עוֹלָמִ֑ים הֲל֥וֹא אַתְּ־הִ֛יא הַמַּחְצֶ֥בֶת רַ֖הַב מְחוֹלֶ֥לֶת תַּנִּֽין׃
Awake, awake, put on strength, O arm of the LORD; awake, as in the ancient days, in the generations of old. Are you not it that has cut Rahab, and wounded the dragon?
10 η ερημουσα θαλασσαν υδωρ αβυσσου πληθος η θεισα τα βαθη της θαλασσης οδον διαβασεως ρυομενοις
ֲל֤וֹא אַתְּ־הִיא֙ הַמַּחֲרֶ֣בֶת יָ֔ם מֵ֖י תְּה֣וֹם רַבָּ֑ה הַשָּׂ֙מָה֙ מַֽעֲמַקֵּי־יָ֔ם דֶּ֖רֶךְ לַעֲבֹ֥ר גְּאוּלִֽים׃
Are you not it which has dried the sea, the waters of the great deep; that has made the depths of the sea a way for the ransomed to pass over?
11 και λελυτρωμενοις υπο γαρ κυριου αποστραφησονται και ηξουσιν εις σιων μετ ευφροσυνης και αγαλλιαματος αιωνιου επι γαρ της κεφαλης αυτων αγαλλιασις και αινεσις και ευφροσυνη καταλημψεται αυτους απεδρα οδυνη και λυπη και στεναγμος
ּפְדוּיֵ֨י יְהוָ֜ה יְשׁוּב֗וּן וּבָ֤אוּ צִיּוֹן֙ בְּרִנָּ֔ה וְשִׂמְחַ֥ת עוֹלָ֖ם עַל־רֹאשָׁ֑ם שָׂשׂ֤וֹן וְשִׂמְחָה֙ יַשִּׂיג֔וּן נָ֖סוּ יָג֥וֹן וַאֲנָחָֽה׃ ס
Therefore the redeemed of the LORD shall return, and come with singing unto Zion; and everlasting joy shall be upon their head: they shall obtain gladness and joy; and sorrow and mourning shall flee away.
12 εγω ειμι εγω ειμι ο παρακαλων σε γνωθι τινα ευλαβηθεισα εφοβηθης απο ανθρωπου θνητου και απο υιου ανθρωπου οι ωσει χορτος εξηρανθησαν
ָנֹכִ֧י אָנֹכִ֛י ה֖וּא מְנַחֶמְכֶ֑ם מִֽי־אַ֤תְּ וַתִּֽירְאִי֙ מֵאֱנ֣וֹשׁ יָמ֔וּת וּמִבֶּן־אָדָ֖ם חָצִ֥יר יִנָּתֵֽן׃
I, even I, am he that comforts you: who are you, that you should be afraid of a man that shall die, and of the son of man which shall be made as grass;
13 και επελαθου θεον τον ποιησαντα σε τον ποιησαντα τον ουρανον και θεμελιωσαντα την γην και εφοβου αει πασας τας ημερας το προσωπον του θυμου του θλιβοντος σε ον τροπον γαρ εβουλευσατο του αραι σε και νυν που ο θυμος του θλιβοντος σε
ַתִּשְׁכַּ֞ח יְהוָ֣ה עֹשֶׂ֗ךָ נוֹטֶ֣ה שָׁמַיִם֮ וְיֹסֵ֣ד אָרֶץ֒ וַתְּפַחֵ֨ד תָּמִ֜יד כָּל־הַיּ֗וֹם מִפְּנֵי֙ חֲמַ֣ת הַמֵּצִ֔יק כַּאֲשֶׁ֥ר כּוֹנֵ֖ן לְהַשְׁחִ֑ית וְאַיֵּ֖ה חֲמַ֥ת הַמֵּצִֽיק׃
And forget the LORD your maker, that has stretched forth the heavens, and laid the foundations of the earth; and have feared continually every day because of the fury of the oppressor, as if he were ready to destroy? and where is the fury of the oppressor?
14 εν γαρ τω σωζεσθαι σε ου στησεται ουδε χρονιει
ִהַ֥ר צֹעֶ֖ה לְהִפָּתֵ֑חַ וְלֹא־יָמ֣וּת לַשַּׁ֔חַת וְלֹ֥א יֶחְסַ֖ר לַחְמֽוֹ׃
The captive exile hastens that he may be loosed, and that he should not die in the pit, nor that his bread should fail.
15 οτι εγω ο θεος σου ο ταρασσων την θαλασσαν και ηχων τα κυματα αυτης κυριος σαβαωθ ονομα μοι
ְאָֽנֹכִי֙ יְהוָ֣ה אֱלֹהֶ֔יךָ רֹגַ֣ע הַיָּ֔ם וַיֶּהֱמ֖וּ גַּלָּ֑יו יְהוָ֥ה צְבָא֖וֹת שְׁמֽוֹ׃
But I am the LORD your God, that divided the sea, whose waves roared: The LORD of hosts is his name.
16 θησω τους λογους μου εις το στομα σου και υπο την σκιαν της χειρος μου σκεπασω σε εν η εστησα τον ουρανον και εθεμελιωσα την γην και ερει σιων λαος μου ει συ
ָאָשִׂ֤ים דְּבָרַי֙ בְּפִ֔יךָ וּבְצֵ֥ל יָדִ֖י כִּסִּיתִ֑יךָ לִנְטֹ֤עַ שָׁמַ֙יִם֙ וְלִיסֹ֣ד אָ֔רֶץ וְלֵאמֹ֥ר לְצִיּ֖וֹן עַמִּי־אָֽתָּה׃ ס
And I have put my words in your mouth, and I have covered you in the shadow of mine hand, that I may plant the heavens, and lay the foundations of the earth, and say unto Zion, You are my people.

The Cup of the LORD’s Wrath
εξεγειρου εξεγειρου αναστηθι ιερουσαλημ η πιουσα το ποτηριον του θυμου εκ χειρος κυριου το ποτηριον γαρ της πτωσεως το κονδυ του θυμου εξεπιες και εξεκενωσας
ִתְעוֹרְרִ֣י הִֽתְעוֹרְרִ֗י ק֚וּמִי יְר֣וּשָׁלִַ֔ם אֲשֶׁ֥ר שָׁתִ֛ית מִיַּ֥ד יְהוָ֖ה אֶת־כּ֣וֹס חֲמָת֑וֹ אֶת־קֻבַּ֜עַת כּ֧וֹס הַתַּרְעֵלָ֛ה שָׁתִ֖ית מָצִֽית׃
Awake, awake, stand up, O Jerusalem, which have drunk at the hand of the LORD the cup of his fury; you have drunken the dregs of the cup of trembling, and wrung them out.
18 και ουκ ην ο παρακαλων σε απο παντων των τεκνων σου ων ετεκες και ουκ ην ο αντιλαμβανομενος της χειρος σου ουδε απο παντων των υιων σου ων υψωσας
ֵין־מְנַהֵ֣ל לָ֔הּ מִכָּל־בָּנִ֖ים יָלָ֑דָה וְאֵ֤ין מַחֲזִיק֙ בְּיָדָ֔הּ מִכָּל־בָּנִ֖ים גִּדֵּֽלָה׃
There is none to guide her among all the sons whom she has brought forth; neither is there any that takes her by the hand of all the sons that she has brought up.
19 δυο ταυτα αντικειμενα σοι τις σοι συλλυπηθησεται πτωμα και συντριμμα λιμος και μαχαιρα τις σε παρακαλεσει
ְׁתַּ֤יִם הֵ֙נָּה֙ קֹֽרְאֹתַ֔יִךְ מִ֖י יָנ֣וּד לָ֑ךְ הַשֹּׁ֧ד וְהַשֶּׁ֛בֶר וְהָרָעָ֥ב וְהַחֶ֖רֶב מִ֥י אֲנַחֲמֵֽךְ׃
These two things are come unto you; who shall be sorry for you? desolation, and destruction, and the famine, and the sword: by whom shall I comfort you?
20 οι υιοι σου οι απορουμενοι οι καθευδοντες επ ακρου πασης εξοδου ως σευτλιον ημιεφθον οι πληρεις θυμου κυριου εκλελυμενοι δια κυριου του θεου
ָּנַ֜יִךְ עֻלְּפ֥וּ שָׁכְב֛וּ בְּרֹ֥אשׁ כָּל־חוּצ֖וֹת כְּת֣וֹא מִכְמָ֑ר הַֽמְלֵאִ֥ים חֲמַת־יְהוָ֖ה גַּעֲרַ֥ת אֱלֹהָֽיִךְ׃
Your sons have fainted, they lie at the head of all the streets, as a wild bull in a net: they are full of the fury of the LORD, the rebuke of your God.
21 δια τουτο ακουε τεταπεινωμενη και μεθυουσα ουκ απο οινου
ָכֵ֛ן שִׁמְעִי־נָ֥א זֹ֖את עֲנִיָּ֑ה וּשְׁכֻרַ֖ת וְלֹ֥א מִיָּֽיִן׃ ס
Therefore hear now this, you afflicted, and drunken, but not with wine:
22 ουτως λεγει κυριος ο θεος ο κρινων τον λαον αυτου ιδου ειληφα εκ της χειρος σου το ποτηριον της πτωσεως το κονδυ του θυμου και ου προσθηση ετι πιειν αυτο
ֹּֽה־אָמַ֞ר אֲדֹנַ֣יִךְ יְהוָ֗ה וֵאלֹהַ֙יִךְ֙ יָרִ֣יב עַמּ֔וֹ הִנֵּ֥ה לָקַ֛חְתִּי מִיָּדֵ֖ךְ אֶת־כּ֣וֹס הַתַּרְעֵלָ֑ה אֶת־קֻבַּ֙עַת֙ כּ֣וֹס חֲמָתִ֔י לֹא־תוֹסִ֥יפִי לִשְׁתּוֹתָ֖הּ עֽוֹד׃
Thus says your Lord the LORD, and your God that pleads the cause of his people, Behold, I have taken out of yours hand the cup of trembling, even the dregs of the cup of my fury; you shall no more drink it again:
23 και εμβαλω αυτο εις τας χειρας των αδικησαντων σε και των ταπεινωσαντων σε οι ειπαν τη ψυχη σου κυψον ινα παρελθωμεν και εθηκας ισα τη γη τα μεταφρενα σου εξω τοις παραπορευομενοις
ְשַׂמְתִּ֙יהָ֙ בְּיַד־מוֹגַ֔יִךְ אֲשֶׁר־אָמְר֥וּ לְנַפְשֵׁ֖ךְ שְׁחִ֣י וְנַעֲבֹ֑רָה וַתָּשִׂ֤ימִי כָאָ֙רֶץ֙ גֵּוֵ֔ךְ וְכַח֖וּץ לַעֹבְרִֽים׃ ס
But I will put it into the hand of them that afflict you; which have said to your soul, Bow down, that we may go over: and you have laid your body as the ground, and as the street, to them that went over.
