Praise to the LORD
κυριε ο θεος μου δοξασω σε υμνησω το ονομα σου οτι εποιησας θαυμαστα πραγματα βουλην αρχαιαν αληθινην γενοιτο κυριε
ְהוָ֤ה אֱלֹהַי֙ אַתָּ֔ה אֲרֽוֹמִמְךָ֙ אוֹדֶ֣ה שִׁמְךָ֔ כִּ֥י עָשִׂ֖יתָ פֶּ֑לֶא עֵצ֥וֹת מֵֽרָח֖וֹק אֱמ֥וּנָה אֹֽמֶן׃
O Lord, you are my God; I will exalt you, I will praise your name; for you have done wonderful things; your counsels of old are faithfulness and truth.
2 οτι εθηκας πολεις εις χωμα πολεις οχυρας του πεσειν αυτων τα θεμελια των ασεβων πολις εις τον αιωνα ου μη οικοδομηθη
ִּ֣י שַׂ֤מְתָּ מֵעִיר֙ לַגָּ֔ל קִרְיָ֥ה בְצוּרָ֖ה לְמַפֵּלָ֑ה אַרְמ֤וֹן זָרִים֙ מֵעִ֔יר לְעוֹלָ֖ם לֹ֥א יִבָּנֶֽה׃
For you have made of a city an heap; of a defenced city a ruin: a palace of strangers to be no city; it shall never be built.
3 δια τουτο ευλογησει σε ο λαος ο πτωχος και πολεις ανθρωπων αδικουμενων ευλογησουσιν σε
ַל־כֵּ֖ן יְכַבְּד֣וּךָ עַם־עָ֑ז קִרְיַ֛ת גּוֹיִ֥ם עָרִיצִ֖ים יִירָאֽוּךָ׃
Therefore shall the strong people glorify you, the city of the terrible nations shall fear you.
4 εγενου γαρ παση πολει ταπεινη βοηθος και τοις αθυμησασιν δια ενδειαν σκεπη απο ανθρωπων πονηρων ρυση αυτους σκεπη διψωντων και πνευμα ανθρωπων αδικουμενων
ִּֽי־הָיִ֨יתָ מָע֥וֹז לַדָּ֛ל מָע֥וֹז לָאֶבְי֖וֹן בַּצַּר־ל֑וֹ מַחְסֶ֤ה מִזֶּ֙רֶם֙ צֵ֣ל מֵחֹ֔רֶב כִּ֛י ר֥וּחַ עָרִיצִ֖ים כְּזֶ֥רֶם קִֽיר׃
For you have been a strength to the poor, a strength to the needy in his distress, a refuge from the storm, a shadow from the heat, when the blast of the terrible ones is as a storm against the wall.
5 ευλογησουσιν σε ως ανθρωποι ολιγοψυχοι διψωντες εν σιων απο ανθρωπων ασεβων οις ημας παρεδωκας
ְּחֹ֣רֶב בְּצָי֔וֹן שְׁא֥וֹן זָרִ֖ים תַּכְנִ֑יעַ חֹ֚רֶב בְּצֵ֣ל עָ֔ב זְמִ֥יר עָֽרִיצִ֖ים יַעֲנֶֽה׃ פ
You shall bring down the noise of strangers, as the heat in a dry place; even the heat with the shadow of a cloud: the branch of the terrible ones shall be brought low.
6 και ποιησει κυριος σαβαωθ πασι τοις εθνεσιν επι το ορος τουτο πιονται ευφροσυνην πιονται οινον χρισονται μυρον
ְעָשָׂה֩ יְהוָ֨ה צְבָא֜וֹת לְכָל־הָֽעַמִּים֙ בָּהָ֣ר הַזֶּ֔ה מִשְׁתֵּ֥ה שְׁמָנִ֖ים מִשְׁתֵּ֣ה שְׁמָרִ֑ים שְׁמָנִים֙ מְמֻ֣חָיִ֔ם שְׁמָרִ֖ים מְזֻקָּקִֽים׃
And in this mountain shall the LORD of hosts make unto all people a feast of fat things, a feast of wines on the sediments of wine, of fat things full of marrow, of wines on the sediments of wine well refined.
7 εν τω ορει τουτω παραδος ταυτα παντα τοις εθνεσιν η γαρ βουλη αυτη επι παντα τα εθνη
ּבִלַּע֙ בָּהָ֣ר הַזֶּ֔ה פְּנֵֽי־הַלּ֥וֹט ׀ הַלּ֖וֹט עַל־כָּל־הָֽעַמִּ֑ים וְהַמַּסֵּכָ֥ה הַנְּסוּכָ֖ה עַל־כָּל־הַגּוֹיִֽם׃
And he will destroy in this mountain the face of the covering cast over all people, and the vail that is spread over all nations.
8 κατεπιεν ο θανατος ισχυσας και παλιν αφειλεν ο θεος παν δακρυον απο παντος προσωπου το ονειδος του λαου αφειλεν απο πασης της γης το γαρ στομα κυριου ελαλησεν
ִּלַּ֤ע הַמָּ֙וֶת֙ לָנֶ֔צַח וּמָחָ֨ה אֲדֹנָ֧י יְהוִ֛ה דִּמְעָ֖ה מֵעַ֣ל כָּל־פָּנִ֑ים וְחֶרְפַּ֣ת עַמּ֗וֹ יָסִיר֙ מֵעַ֣ל כָּל־הָאָ֔רֶץ כִּ֥י יְהוָ֖ה דִּבֵּֽר׃ פ
He will swallow up death in victory; and the Lord GOD will wipe away tears from off all faces; and the rebuke of his people shall he take away from off all the earth: for the LORD has spoken it.
9 και ερουσιν τη ημερα εκεινη ιδου ο θεος ημων εφ ω ηλπιζομεν και ηγαλλιωμεθα και ευφρανθησομεθα επι τη σωτηρια ημων
ְאָמַר֙ בַּיּ֣וֹם הַה֔וּא הִנֵּ֨ה אֱלֹהֵ֥ינוּ זֶ֛ה קִוִּ֥ינוּ ל֖וֹ וְיֽוֹשִׁיעֵ֑נוּ זֶ֤ה יְהוָה֙ קִוִּ֣ינוּ ל֔וֹ נָגִ֥ילָה וְנִשְׂמְחָ֖ה בִּישׁוּעָתֽוֹ׃
And it shall be said in that day, Lo, this is our God; we have waited for him, and he will save us: this is the LORD; we have waited for him, we will be glad and rejoice in his salvation.
10 οτι αναπαυσιν δωσει ο θεος επι το ορος τουτο και καταπατηθησεται η μωαβιτις ον τροπον πατουσιν αλωνα εν αμαξαις
ִּֽי־תָנ֥וּחַ יַד־יְהוָ֖ה בָּהָ֣ר הַזֶּ֑ה וְנָ֤דוֹשׁ מוֹאָב֙ תַּחְתָּ֔יו כְּהִדּ֥וּשׁ מַתְבֵּ֖ן *במי **בְּמ֥וֹ מַדְמֵנָֽה׃
For in this mountain shall the hand of the LORD rest, and Moab shall be trodden down under him, even as straw is trodden down for the dunghill.
11 και ανησει τας χειρας αυτου ον τροπον και αυτος εταπεινωσεν του απολεσαι και ταπεινωσει την υβριν αυτου εφ α τας χειρας επεβαλεν
ּפֵרַ֤שׂ יָדָיו֙ בְּקִרְבּ֔וֹ כַּאֲשֶׁ֛ר יְפָרֵ֥שׂ הַשֹּׂחֶ֖ה לִשְׂח֑וֹת וְהִשְׁפִּיל֙ גַּֽאֲוָת֔וֹ עִ֖ם אָרְבּ֥וֹת יָדָֽיו׃
And he shall spread forth his hands in the midst of them, as he that swins spreads forth his hands to swim: and he shall bring down their pride together with the spoils of their hands.
12 και το υψος της καταφυγης του τοιχου σου ταπεινωσει και καταβησεται εως του εδαφους
ּמִבְצַ֞ר מִשְׂגַּ֣ב חוֹמֹתֶ֗יךָ הֵשַׁ֥ח הִשְׁפִּ֛יל הִגִּ֥יעַ לָאָ֖רֶץ עַד־עָפָֽר׃ ס
And the fortress of the high fort of your walls shall he bring down, lay low, and bring to the ground, even to the dust.
