Hope for the Mountains of Israel
και συ υιε ανθρωπου προφητευσον επι τα ορη ισραηλ και ειπον τοις ορεσιν του ισραηλ ακουσατε λογον κυριου
ְאַתָּ֣ה בֶן־אָדָ֔ם הִנָּבֵ֖א אֶל־הָרֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל וְאָ֣מַרְתָּ֔ הָרֵי֙ יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל שִׁמְע֖וּ דְּבַר־יְהוָֽה׃
Also, you son of man, prophesy unto the mountains of Israel, and say, All of you mountains of Israel, hear the word of the LORD:
2 ταδε λεγει κυριος κυριος ανθ ων ειπεν ο εχθρος εφ υμας ευγε ερημα αιωνια εις κατασχεσιν ημιν εγενηθη
ֹּ֤ה אָמַר֙ אֲדֹנָ֣י יְהוִ֔ה יַ֣עַן אָמַ֧ר הָאוֹיֵ֛ב עֲלֵיכֶ֖ם הֶאָ֑ח וּבָמ֣וֹת עוֹלָ֔ם לְמֽוֹרָשָׁ֖ה הָ֥יְתָה לָּֽנוּ׃
Thus says the Lord GOD; Because the enemy has said against you, Aha, even the ancient high places are ours in possession:
3 δια τουτο προφητευσον και ειπον ταδε λεγει κυριος κυριος αντι του ατιμασθηναι υμας και μισηθηναι υμας υπο των κυκλω υμων του ειναι υμας εις κατασχεσιν τοις καταλοιποις εθνεσιν και ανεβητε λαλημα γλωσση και εις ονειδισμα εθνεσιν
ָכֵן֙ הִנָּבֵ֣א וְאָמַרְתָּ֔ כֹּ֥ה אָמַ֖ר אֲדֹנָ֣י יְהוִ֑ה יַ֣עַן בְּיַ֡עַן שַׁמּוֹת֩ וְשָׁאֹ֨ף אֶתְכֶ֜ם מִסָּבִ֗יב לִֽהְיוֹתְכֶ֤ם מֽוֹרָשָׁה֙ לִשְׁאֵרִ֣ית הַגּוֹיִ֔ם וַתֵּֽעֲל֛וּ עַל־שְׂפַ֥ת לָשׁ֖וֹן וְדִבַּת־עָֽם׃
Therefore prophesy and say, Thus says the Lord GOD; Because they have made you desolate, and swallowed you up on every side, that all of you might be a possession unto the residue of the heathen, and all of you are taken up in the lips of talkers, and are an ill repute of the people:
4 δια τουτο ορη ισραηλ ακουσατε λογον κυριου ταδε λεγει κυριος τοις ορεσιν και τοις βουνοις και ταις φαραγξιν και τοις χειμαρροις και τοις εξηρημωμενοις και ηφανισμενοις και ταις πολεσιν ταις εγκαταλελειμμεναις αι εγενοντο εις προνομην και εις καταπατημα τοις καταλειφθεισιν εθνεσιν περικυκλω
ָכֵן֙ הָרֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל שִׁמְע֖וּ דְּבַר־אֲדֹנָ֣י יְהוִ֑ה כֹּֽה־אָמַ֣ר אֲדֹנָ֣י יְ֠הוִה לֶהָרִ֨ים וְלַגְּבָע֜וֹת לָאֲפִיקִ֣ים וְלַגֵּאָי֗וֹת וְלֶחֳרָב֤וֹת הַשֹּֽׁמְמוֹת֙ וְלֶעָרִ֣ים הַנֶּעֱזָב֔וֹת אֲשֶׁ֨ר הָי֤וּ לְבַז֙ וּלְלַ֔עַג לִשְׁאֵרִ֥ית הַגּוֹיִ֖ם אֲשֶׁ֥ר מִסָּבִֽיב׃ ס
Therefore, all of you mountains of Israel, hear the word of the Lord GOD; Thus says the Lord GOD to the mountains, and to the hills, to the rivers, and to the valleys, to the desolate wastes, and to the cities that are forsaken, which became a prey and derision to the residue of the heathen that are round about;
5 δια τουτο ταδε λεγει κυριος κυριος ει μην εν πυρι θυμου μου ελαλησα επι τα λοιπα εθνη και επι την ιδουμαιαν πασαν οτι εδωκαν την γην μου εαυτοις εις κατασχεσιν μετ ευφροσυνης ατιμασαντες ψυχας του αφανισαι εν προνομη
ָכֵ֗ן כֹּֽה־אָמַר֮ אֲדֹנָ֣י יְהוִה֒ אִם־לֹ֠א בְּאֵ֨שׁ קִנְאָתִ֥י דִבַּ֛רְתִּי עַל־שְׁאֵרִ֥ית הַגּוֹיִ֖ם וְעַל־אֱד֣וֹם כֻּלָּ֑א אֲשֶׁ֣ר נָתְנֽוּ־אֶת־אַרְצִ֣י ׀ לָ֠הֶם לְמ֨וֹרָשָׁ֜ה בְּשִׂמְחַ֤ת כָּל־לֵבָב֙ בִּשְׁאָ֣ט נֶ֔פֶשׁ לְמַ֥עַן מִגְרָשָׁ֖הּ לָבַֽז׃
Therefore thus says the Lord GOD; Surely in the fire of my jealousy have I spoken against the residue of the heathen, and against all Idumea, which have appointed my land into their possession with the joy of all their heart, with despiteful minds, to cast it out for a prey.
6 δια τουτο προφητευσον επι την γην του ισραηλ και ειπον τοις ορεσιν και τοις βουνοις και ταις φαραγξιν και ταις ναπαις ταδε λεγει κυριος ιδου εγω εν τω ζηλω μου και εν τω θυμω μου ελαλησα αντι του ονειδισμους εθνων ενεγκαι υμας
ָכֵ֕ן הִנָּבֵ֖א עַל־אַדְמַ֣ת יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל וְאָמַרְתָּ֡ לֶהָרִ֣ים וְ֠לַגְּבָעוֹת לָאֲפִיקִ֨ים וְלַגֵּאָי֜וֹת כֹּֽה־אָמַ֣ר ׀ אֲדֹנָ֣י יְהוִ֗ה הִנְנִ֨י בְקִנְאָתִ֤י וּבַחֲמָתִי֙ דִּבַּ֔רְתִּי יַ֛עַן כְּלִמַּ֥ת גּוֹיִ֖ם נְשָׂאתֶֽם׃
Prophesy therefore concerning the land of Israel, and say unto the mountains, and to the hills, to the rivers, and to the valleys, Thus says the Lord GOD; Behold, I have spoken in my jealousy and in my fury, because all of you have borne the shame of the heathen:
7 δια τουτο εγω αρω την χειρα μου επι τα εθνη τα περικυκλω υμων ουτοι την ατιμιαν αυτων λημψονται
ָכֵ֗ן כֹּ֤ה אָמַר֙ אֲדֹנָ֣י יְהוִ֔ה אֲנִ֖י נָשָׂ֣אתִי אֶת־יָדִ֑י אִם־לֹ֤א הַגּוֹיִם֙ אֲשֶׁ֣ר לָכֶ֣ם מִסָּבִ֔יב הֵ֖מָּה כְּלִמָּתָ֥ם יִשָּֽׂאוּ׃
Therefore thus says the Lord GOD; I have lifted up mine hand, Surely the heathen that are about you, they shall bear their shame.
8 υμων δε ορη ισραηλ την σταφυλην και τον καρπον υμων καταφαγεται ο λαος μου οτι εγγιζουσιν του ελθειν
ְאַתֶּ֞ם הָרֵ֤י יִשְׂרָאֵל֙ עַנְפְּכֶ֣ם תִּתֵּ֔נוּ וּפֶרְיְכֶ֥ם תִּשְׂא֖וּ לְעַמִּ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל כִּ֥י קֵרְב֖וּ לָבֽוֹא׃
But all of you, O mountains of Israel, all of you shall shoot forth your branches, and yield your fruit to my people of Israel; for they are at hand to come.
9 οτι ιδου εγω εφ υμας και επιβλεψω εφ υμας και κατεργασθησεσθε και σπαρησεσθε
ִּ֖י הִנְנִ֣י אֲלֵיכֶ֑ם וּפָנִ֣יתִי אֲלֵיכֶ֔ם וְנֶעֱבַדְתֶּ֖ם וְנִזְרַעְתֶּֽם׃
For, behold, I am for you, and I will turn unto you, and all of you shall be tilled and sown:
10 και πληθυνω εφ υμας ανθρωπους παν οικον ισραηλ εις τελος και κατοικηθησονται αι πολεις και η ηρημωμενη οικοδομηθησεται
ְהִרְבֵּיתִ֤י עֲלֵיכֶם֙ אָדָ֔ם כָּל־בֵּ֥ית יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל כֻּלֹּ֑ה וְנֹֽשְׁבוּ֙ הֶֽעָרִ֔ים וְהֶחֳרָב֖וֹת תִּבָּנֶֽינָה׃
And I will multiply men upon you, all the house of Israel, even all of it: and the cities shall be inhabited, and the wastes shall be built:
11 και πληθυνω εφ υμας ανθρωπους και κτηνη και κατοικιω υμας ως το εν αρχη υμων και ευ ποιησω υμας ωσπερ τα εμπροσθεν υμων και γνωσεσθε οτι εγω ειμι κυριος
ְהִרְבֵּיתִ֧י עֲלֵיכֶ֛ם אָדָ֥ם וּבְהֵמָ֖ה וְרָב֣וּ וּפָר֑וּ וְהוֹשַׁבְתִּ֨י אֶתְכֶ֜ם כְּקַדְמֽוֹתֵיכֶ֗ם וְהֵטִֽבֹתִי֙ מֵרִאשֹׁ֣תֵיכֶ֔ם וִֽידַעְתֶּ֖ם כִּֽי־אֲנִ֥י יְהוָֽה׃
And I will multiply upon you man and beast; and they shall increase and bring fruit: and I will settle you after your old estates, and will do better unto you than at your beginnings: and all of you shall know that I am the LORD.
12 και γεννησω εφ υμας ανθρωπους τον λαον μου ισραηλ και κληρονομησουσιν υμας και εσεσθε αυτοις εις κατασχεσιν και ου μη προστεθητε ετι ατεκνωθηναι απ αυτων
ְהוֹלַכְתִּי֩ עֲלֵיכֶ֨ם אָדָ֜ם אֶת־עַמִּ֤י יִשְׂרָאֵל֙ וִֽירֵשׁ֔וּךָ וְהָיִ֥יתָ לָהֶ֖ם לְנַחֲלָ֑ה וְלֹא־תוֹסִ֥ף ע֖וֹד לְשַׁכְּלָֽם׃ ס
Yea, I will cause men to walk upon you, even my people Israel; and they shall possess you, and you shall be their inheritance, and you shall no more henceforth bereave them of men.
13 ταδε λεγει κυριος κυριος ανθ ων ειπαν σοι κατεσθουσα ανθρωπους ει και ητεκνωμενη υπο του εθνους σου εγενου
ֹּ֤ה אָמַר֙ אֲדֹנָ֣י יְהוִ֔ה יַ֚עַן אֹמְרִ֣ים לָכֶ֔ם אֹכֶ֥לֶת אָדָ֖ם *אתי **אָ֑תְּ וּמְשַׁכֶּ֥לֶת *גויך **גּוֹיַ֖יִךְ הָיִֽית׃
Thus says the Lord GOD; Because they say unto you, You land devour up men, and have bereaved your nations:
14 δια τουτο ανθρωπους ουκετι φαγεσαι και το εθνος σου ουκ ατεκνωσεις ετι λεγει κυριος κυριος
ָכֵ֗ן אָדָם֙ לֹא־תֹ֣אכְלִי ע֔וֹד *וגויך **וְגוֹיַ֖יִךְ לֹ֣א *תכשלי־**תְשַׁכְּלִי־ע֑וֹד נְאֻ֖ם אֲדֹנָ֥י יְהוִֽה׃
Therefore you shall devour men no more, neither bereave your nations any more, says the Lord GOD.
15 και ουκ ακουσθησεται ουκετι εφ υμας ατιμια εθνων και ονειδισμους λαων ου μη ανενεγκητε λεγει κυριος κυριος
ְלֹא־אַשְׁמִ֨יעַ אֵלַ֤יִךְ עוֹד֙ כְּלִמַּ֣ת הַגּוֹיִ֔ם וְחֶרְפַּ֥ת עַמִּ֖ים לֹ֣א תִשְׂאִי־ע֑וֹד *וגויך **וְגוֹיַ֙יִךְ֙ לֹא־תַכְשִׁ֣לִי ע֔וֹד נְאֻ֖ם אֲדֹנָ֥י יְהוִֽה׃ ס
Neither will I cause men to hear in you the shame of the heathen any more, neither shall you bear the reproach of the people any more, neither shall you cause your nations to fall any more, says the Lord GOD.

Israel’s Restoration Assured
και εγενετο λογος κυριου προς με λεγων
ַיְהִ֥י דְבַר־יְהוָ֖ה אֵלַ֥י לֵאמֹֽר׃
Moreover the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,
17 υιε ανθρωπου οικος ισραηλ κατωκησεν επι της γης αυτων και εμιαναν αυτην εν τη οδω αυτων και εν τοις ειδωλοις αυτων και εν ταις ακαθαρσιαις αυτων κατα την ακαθαρσιαν της αποκαθημενης εγενηθη η οδος αυτων προ προσωπου μου
ֶּן־אָדָ֗ם בֵּ֤ית יִשְׂרָאֵל֙ יֹשְׁבִ֣ים עַל־אַדְמָתָ֔ם וַיְטַמְּא֣וּ אוֹתָ֔הּ בְּדַרְכָּ֖ם וּבַעֲלִֽילוֹתָ֑ם כְּטֻמְאַת֙ הַנִּדָּ֔ה הָיְתָ֥ה דַרְכָּ֖ם לְפָנָֽי׃
Son of man, when the house of Israel dwelt in their own land, they defiled it by their own way and by their doings: their way was before me as the uncleanness of a removed woman.
18 και εξεχεα τον θυμον μου επ αυτους
ָאֶשְׁפֹּ֤ךְ חֲמָתִי֙ עֲלֵיהֶ֔ם עַל־הַדָּ֖ם אֲשֶׁר־שָׁפְכ֣וּ עַל־הָאָ֑רֶץ וּבְגִלּוּלֵיהֶ֖ם טִמְּאֽוּהָ׃
Wherefore I poured my fury upon them for the blood that they had shed upon the land, and for their idols wherewith they had polluted it:
19 και διεσπειρα αυτους εις τα εθνη και ελικμησα αυτους εις τας χωρας κατα την οδον αυτων και κατα την αμαρτιαν αυτων εκρινα αυτους
ָאָפִ֤יץ אֹתָם֙ בַּגּוֹיִ֔ם וַיִּזָּר֖וּ בָּאֲרָצ֑וֹת כְּדַרְכָּ֥ם וְכַעֲלִילוֹתָ֖ם שְׁפַטְתִּֽים׃
And I scattered them among the heathen, and they were dispersed through the countries: according to their way and according to their doings I judged them.
20 και εισηλθοσαν εις τα εθνη ου εισηλθοσαν εκει και εβεβηλωσαν το ονομα μου το αγιον εν τω λεγεσθαι αυτους λαος κυριου ουτοι και εκ της γης αυτου εξεληλυθασιν
ַיָּב֗וֹא אֶל־הַגּוֹיִם֙ אֲשֶׁר־בָּ֣אוּ שָׁ֔ם וַֽיְחַלְּל֖וּ אֶת־שֵׁ֣ם קָדְשִׁ֑י בֶּאֱמֹ֤ר לָהֶם֙ עַם־יְהוָ֣ה אֵ֔לֶּה וּמֵאַרְצ֖וֹ יָצָֽאוּ׃
And when they entered unto the heathen, where they went, they profaned my holy name, when they said to them, These are the people of the LORD, and are gone forth out of his land.
21 και εφεισαμην αυτων δια το ονομα μου το αγιον ο εβεβηλωσαν οικος ισραηλ εν τοις εθνεσιν ου εισηλθοσαν εκει
ָאֶחְמֹ֖ל עַל־שֵׁ֣ם קָדְשִׁ֑י אֲשֶׁ֤ר חִלְּל֙וּהוּ֙ בֵּ֣ית יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל בַּגּוֹיִ֖ם אֲשֶׁר־בָּ֥אוּ שָֽׁמָּה׃ ס
But I had pity for mine holy name, which the house of Israel had profaned among the heathen, where they went.
22 δια τουτο ειπον τω οικω ισραηλ ταδε λεγει κυριος ουχ υμιν εγω ποιω οικος ισραηλ αλλ η δια το ονομα μου το αγιον ο εβεβηλωσατε εν τοις εθνεσιν ου εισηλθετε εκει
ָכֵ֞ן אֱמֹ֣ר לְבֵֽית־יִשְׂרָאֵ֗ל כֹּ֤ה אָמַר֙ אֲדֹנָ֣י יְהוִ֔ה לֹ֧א לְמַעַנְכֶ֛ם אֲנִ֥י עֹשֶׂ֖ה בֵּ֣ית יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל כִּ֤י אִם־לְשֵׁם־קָדְשִׁי֙ אֲשֶׁ֣ר חִלַּלְתֶּ֔ם בַּגּוֹיִ֖ם אֲשֶׁר־בָּ֥אתֶם שָֽׁם׃
Therefore say unto the house of Israel, thus says the Lord GOD; I do not this for your sakes, O house of Israel, but for mine holy name's sake, which all of you have profaned among the heathen, where all of you went.
23 και αγιασω το ονομα μου το μεγα το βεβηλωθεν εν τοις εθνεσιν ο εβεβηλωσατε εν μεσω αυτων και γνωσονται τα εθνη οτι εγω ειμι κυριος εν τω αγιασθηναι με εν υμιν κατ οφθαλμους αυτων
ְקִדַּשְׁתִּ֞י אֶת־שְׁמִ֣י הַגָּד֗וֹל הַֽמְחֻלָּל֙ בַּגּוֹיִ֔ם אֲשֶׁ֥ר חִלַּלְתֶּ֖ם בְּתוֹכָ֑ם וְיָדְע֨וּ הַגּוֹיִ֜ם כִּי־אֲנִ֣י יְהוָ֗ה נְאֻם֙ אֲדֹנָ֣י יְהוִ֔ה בְּהִקָּדְשִׁ֥י בָכֶ֖ם לְעֵינֵיהֶֽם׃
And I will sanctify my great name, which was profaned among the heathen, which all of you have profaned in the midst of them; and the heathen shall know that I am the LORD, says the Lord GOD, when I shall be sanctified in you before their eyes.
24 και λημψομαι υμας εκ των εθνων και αθροισω υμας εκ πασων των γαιων και εισαξω υμας εις την γην υμων
ְלָקַחְתִּ֤י אֶתְכֶם֙ מִן־הַגּוֹיִ֔ם וְקִבַּצְתִּ֥י אֶתְכֶ֖ם מִכָּל־הָאֲרָצ֑וֹת וְהֵבֵאתִ֥י אֶתְכֶ֖ם אֶל־אַדְמַתְכֶֽם׃
For I will take you from among the heathen, and gather you out of all countries, and will bring you into your own land.
25 και ρανω εφ υμας υδωρ καθαρον και καθαρισθησεσθε απο πασων των ακαθαρσιων υμων και απο παντων των ειδωλων υμων και καθαριω υμας
ְזָרַקְתִּ֧י עֲלֵיכֶ֛ם מַ֥יִם טְהוֹרִ֖ים וּטְהַרְתֶּ֑ם מִכֹּ֧ל טֻמְאוֹתֵיכֶ֛ם וּמִכָּל־גִּלּ֥וּלֵיכֶ֖ם אֲטַהֵ֥ר אֶתְכֶֽם׃
Then will I sprinkle clean water upon you, and all of you shall be clean: from all your filthiness, and from all your idols, will I cleanse you.
26 και δωσω υμιν καρδιαν καινην και πνευμα καινον δωσω εν υμιν και αφελω την καρδιαν την λιθινην εκ της σαρκος υμων και δωσω υμιν καρδιαν σαρκινην
ְנָתַתִּ֤י לָכֶם֙ לֵ֣ב חָדָ֔שׁ וְר֥וּחַ חֲדָשָׁ֖ה אֶתֵּ֣ן בְּקִרְבְּכֶ֑ם וַהֲסִ֨רֹתִ֜י אֶת־לֵ֤ב הָאֶ֙בֶן֙ מִבְּשַׂרְכֶ֔ם וְנָתַתִּ֥י לָכֶ֖ם לֵ֥ב בָּשָֽׂר׃
A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh.
27 και το πνευμα μου δωσω εν υμιν και ποιησω ινα εν τοις δικαιωμασιν μου πορευησθε και τα κριματα μου φυλαξησθε και ποιησητε
ְאֶת־רוּחִ֖י אֶתֵּ֣ן בְּקִרְבְּכֶ֑ם וְעָשִׂ֗יתִי אֵ֤ת אֲשֶׁר־בְּחֻקַּי֙ תֵּלֵ֔כוּ וּמִשְׁפָּטַ֥י תִּשְׁמְר֖וּ וַעֲשִׂיתֶֽם׃
And I will put my spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and all of you shall keep my judgments, and do them.
28 και κατοικησετε επι της γης ης εδωκα τοις πατρασιν υμων και εσεσθε μοι εις λαον καγω εσομαι υμιν εις θεον
ִישַׁבְתֶּ֣ם בָּאָ֔רֶץ אֲשֶׁ֥ר נָתַ֖תִּי לַאֲבֹֽתֵיכֶ֑ם וִהְיִ֤יתֶם לִי֙ לְעָ֔ם וְאָ֣נֹכִ֔י אֶהְיֶ֥ה לָכֶ֖ם לֵאלֹהִֽים׃
And all of you shall dwell in the land that I gave to your fathers; and all of you shall be my people, and I will be your God.
29 και σωσω υμας εκ πασων των ακαθαρσιων υμων και καλεσω τον σιτον και πληθυνω αυτον και ου δωσω εφ υμας λιμον
ְהוֹשַׁעְתִּ֣י אֶתְכֶ֔ם מִכֹּ֖ל טֻמְאֽוֹתֵיכֶ֑ם וְקָרָ֤אתִי אֶל־הַדָּגָן֙ וְהִרְבֵּיתִ֣י אֹת֔וֹ וְלֹא־אֶתֵּ֥ן עֲלֵיכֶ֖ם רָעָֽב׃
I will also save you from all your uncleannesses: and I will call for the corn, and will increase it, and lay no famine upon you.
30 και πληθυνω τον καρπον του ξυλου και τα γενηματα του αγρου οπως μη λαβητε ονειδισμον λιμου εν τοις εθνεσιν
ְהִרְבֵּיתִי֙ אֶת־פְּרִ֣י הָעֵ֔ץ וּתְנוּבַ֖ת הַשָּׂדֶ֑ה לְמַ֗עַן אֲ֠שֶׁר לֹ֣א תִקְח֥וּ ע֛וֹד חֶרְפַּ֥ת רָעָ֖ב בַּגּוֹיִֽם׃
And I will multiply the fruit of the tree, and the increase of the field, that all of you shall receive no more reproach of famine among the heathen.
31 και μνησθησεσθε τας οδους υμων τας πονηρας και τα επιτηδευματα υμων τα μη αγαθα και προσοχθιειτε κατα προσωπον αυτων εν ταις ανομιαις υμων και επι τοις βδελυγμασιν υμων
ּזְכַרְתֶּם֙ אֶת־דַּרְכֵיכֶ֣ם הָרָעִ֔ים וּמַעַלְלֵיכֶ֖ם אֲשֶׁ֣ר לֹֽא־טוֹבִ֑ים וּנְקֹֽטֹתֶם֙ בִּפְנֵיכֶ֔ם עַ֚ל עֲוֺנֹ֣תֵיכֶ֔ם וְעַ֖ל תּוֹעֲבֽוֹתֵיכֶֽם׃
Then shall all of you remember your own evil ways, and your doings that were not good, and shall loathe yourselves in your own sight for your iniquities and for your abominations.
32 ου δι υμας εγω ποιω λεγει κυριος κυριος γνωστον εσται υμιν αισχυνθητε και εντραπητε εκ των οδων υμων οικος ισραηλ
ֹ֧א לְמַעַנְכֶ֣ם אֲנִֽי־עֹשֶׂ֗ה נְאֻם֙ אֲדֹנָ֣י יְהוִ֔ה יִוָּדַ֖ע לָכֶ֑ם בּ֧וֹשׁוּ וְהִכָּלְמ֛וּ מִדַּרְכֵיכֶ֖ם בֵּ֥ית יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃ ס
Not for your sakes do I this, says the Lord GOD, be it known unto you: be ashamed and confounded for your own ways, O house of Israel.
33 ταδε λεγει κυριος εν ημερα η καθαριω υμας εκ πασων των ανομιων υμων και κατοικιω τας πολεις και οικοδομηθησονται αι ερημοι
ֹּ֤ה אָמַר֙ אֲדֹנָ֣י יְהוִ֔ה בְּיוֹם֙ טַהֲרִ֣י אֶתְכֶ֔ם מִכֹּ֖ל עֲוֺנֽוֹתֵיכֶ֑ם וְהֽוֹשַׁבְתִּי֙ אֶת־הֶ֣עָרִ֔ים וְנִבְנ֖וּ הֶחֳרָבֽוֹת׃
Thus says the Lord GOD; In the day that I shall have cleansed you from all your iniquities I will also cause you to dwell in the cities, and the wastes shall be built.
34 και η γη η ηφανισμενη εργασθησεται ανθ ων οτι ηφανισμενη εγενηθη κατ οφθαλμους παντος παροδευοντος
ְהָאָ֥רֶץ הַנְּשַׁמָּ֖ה תֵּֽעָבֵ֑ד תַּ֚חַת אֲשֶׁ֣ר הָיְתָ֣ה שְׁמָמָ֔ה לְעֵינֵ֖י כָּל־עוֹבֵֽר׃
And the desolate land shall be tilled, whereas it lay desolate in the sight of all that passed by.
35 και ερουσιν η γη εκεινη η ηφανισμενη εγενηθη ως κηπος τρυφης και αι πολεις αι ερημοι και ηφανισμεναι και κατεσκαμμεναι οχυραι εκαθισαν
ְאָמְר֗וּ הָאָ֤רֶץ הַלֵּ֙זוּ֙ הַנְּשַׁמָּ֔ה הָיְתָ֖ה כְּגַן־עֵ֑דֶן וְהֶעָרִ֧ים הֶחֳרֵב֛וֹת וְהַֽנְשַׁמּ֥וֹת וְהַנֶּהֱרָס֖וֹת בְּצוּר֥וֹת יָשָֽׁבוּ׃
And they shall say, This land that was desolate is become like the garden of Eden; and the waste and desolate and ruined cities are become fenced, and are inhabited.
36 και γνωσονται τα εθνη οσα αν καταλειφθωσιν κυκλω υμων οτι εγω κυριος ωκοδομησα τας καθηρημενας και κατεφυτευσα τας ηφανισμενας εγω κυριος ελαλησα και ποιησω
ְיָדְע֣וּ הַגּוֹיִ֗ם אֲשֶׁ֣ר יִֽשָּׁאֲרוּ֮ סְבִיבוֹתֵיכֶם֒ כִּ֣י ׀ אֲנִ֣י יְהוָ֗ה בָּנִ֙יתִי֙ הַנֶּ֣הֱרָס֔וֹת נָטַ֖עְתִּי הַנְּשַׁמָּ֑ה אֲנִ֥י יְהוָ֖ה דִּבַּ֥רְתִּי וְעָשִֽׂיתִי׃ ס
Then the heathen that are left round about you shall know that I the LORD build the ruined places, and plant that that was desolate: I the LORD have spoken it, and I will do it.
37 ταδε λεγει κυριος ετι τουτο ζητηθησομαι τω οικω ισραηλ του ποιησαι αυτοις πληθυνω αυτους ως προβατα ανθρωπους
ֹּ֤ה אָמַר֙ אֲדֹנָ֣י יְהוִ֔ה ע֗וֹד זֹ֛את אִדָּרֵ֥שׁ לְבֵֽית־יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל לַעֲשׂ֣וֹת לָהֶ֑ם אַרְבֶּ֥ה אֹתָ֛ם כַּצֹּ֖אן אָדָֽם׃
Thus says the Lord GOD; I will yet for this be enquired of by the house of Israel, to do it for them; I will increase them with men like a flock.
38 ως προβατα αγια ως προβατα ιερουσαλημ εν ταις εορταις αυτης ουτως εσονται αι πολεις αι ερημοι πληρεις προβατων ανθρωπων και γνωσονται οτι εγω κυριος
ְּצֹ֣אן קָֽדָשִׁ֗ים כְּצֹ֤אן יְרוּשָׁלִַ֙ם֙ בְּמ֣וֹעֲדֶ֔יהָ כֵּ֤ן תִּהְיֶ֙ינָה֙ הֶעָרִ֣ים הֶחֳרֵב֔וֹת מְלֵא֖וֹת צֹ֣אן אָדָ֑ם וְיָדְע֖וּ כִּֽי־אֲנִ֥י יְהוָֽה׃ ס
As the holy flock, as the flock of Jerusalem in her solemn feasts; so shall the waste cities be filled with flocks of men: and they shall know that I am the LORD.
