| 3 | και ειπα αυτοις ουκ ανοιγησονται πυλαι ιερουσαλημ εως αμα τω ηλιω και ετι αυτων γρηγορουντων κλειεσθωσαν αι θυραι και σφηνουσθωσαν και στησον προφυλακας οικουντων εν ιερουσαλημ ανηρ εν προφυλακη αυτου και ανηρ απεναντι οικιας αυτου *ויאמר **וָאֹמַ֣ר לָהֶ֗ם לֹ֣א יִפָּֽתְח֞וּ שַׁעֲרֵ֤י יְרוּשָׁלִַ֙ם֙ עַד־חֹ֣ם הַשֶּׁ֔מֶשׁ וְעַ֨ד הֵ֥ם עֹמְדִ֛ים יָגִ֥יפוּ הַדְּלָת֖וֹת וֶאֱחֹ֑זוּ וְהַעֲמֵ֗יד מִשְׁמְרוֹת֙ יֹשְׁבֵ֣י יְרוּשָׁלִַ֔ם אִ֚ישׁ בְּמִשְׁמָר֔וֹ וְאִ֖ישׁ נֶ֥גֶד בֵּיתֽוֹ׃ And I said unto them, Let not the gates of Jerusalem be opened until the sun be hot; and while they stand by, let them shut the doors, and bar them: and appoint watches of the inhabitants of Jerusalem, every one in his watch, and every one to be opposite to his house. |

| 61 | και ουτοι ανεβησαν απο θελμελεθ αρησα χαρουβ ηρων ιεμηρ και ουκ ηδυνασθησαν απαγγειλαι οικους πατριων αυτων και σπερμα αυτων ει απο ισραηλ εισιν וְאֵ֗לֶּה הָֽעוֹלִים֙ מִתֵּ֥ל מֶ֙לַח֙ תֵּ֣ל חַרְשָׁ֔א כְּר֥וּב אַדּ֖וֹן וְאִמֵּ֑ר וְלֹ֣א יָכְל֗וּ לְהַגִּ֤יד בֵּית־אֲבוֹתָם֙ וְזַרְעָ֔ם אִ֥ם מִיִּשְׂרָאֵ֖ל הֵֽם׃ And these were they which went up also from Telmelah, Telharesha, Cherub, Addon, and Immer: but they could not show their father's house, nor their seed, whether they were of Israel. |
| 62 | υιοι δαλαια υιοι τωβια υιοι νεκωδα εξακοσιοι τεσσαρακοντα δυο בְּנֵי־דְלָיָ֥ה בְנֵֽי־טוֹבִיָּ֖ה בְּנֵ֣י נְקוֹדָ֑א שֵׁ֥שׁ מֵא֖וֹת וְאַרְבָּעִ֥ים וּשְׁנָֽיִם׃ ס The children of Delaiah, the children of Tobiah, the children of Nekoda, six hundred forty and two. |
| 63 | και απο των ιερεων υιοι εβια υιοι ακως υιοι βερζελλι οτι ελαβεν απο θυγατερων βερζελλι του γαλααδιτου γυναικας και εκληθη επ ονοματι αυτων וּמִן־הַכֹּ֣הֲנִ֔ים בְּנֵ֥י חֳבַיָּ֖ה בְּנֵ֣י הַקּ֑וֹץ בְּנֵ֣י בַרְזִלַּ֗י אֲשֶׁ֣ר לָ֠קַח מִבְּנ֞וֹת בַּרְזִלַּ֤י הַגִּלְעָדִי֙ אִשָּׁ֔ה וַיִּקָּרֵ֖א עַל־שְׁמָֽם׃ And of the priests: the children of Habaiah, the children of Koz, the children of Barzillai, which took one of the daughters of Barzillai the Gileadite to wife, and was called after their name. |
| 64 | ουτοι εζητησαν γραφην αυτων της συνοδιας και ουχ ευρεθη και ηγχιστευθησαν απο της ιερατειας אֵ֗לֶּה בִּקְשׁ֧וּ כְתָבָ֛ם הַמִּתְיַחְשִׂ֖ים וְלֹ֣א נִמְצָ֑א וַיְגֹֽאֲל֖וּ מִן־הַכְּהֻנָּֽה׃ These sought their register among those that were reckoned by genealogy, but it was not found: therefore were they, as polluted, put from the priesthood. |
| 65 | και ειπεν αθερσαθα ινα μη φαγωσιν απο του αγιου των αγιων εως αναστη ο ιερευς φωτισων וַיֹּ֤אמֶר הַתִּרְשָׁ֙תָא֙ לָהֶ֔ם אֲשֶׁ֥ר לֹא־יֹאכְל֖וּ מִקֹּ֣דֶשׁ הַקֳּדָשִׁ֑ים עַ֛ד עֲמֹ֥ד הַכֹּהֵ֖ן לְאוּרִ֥ים וְתוּמִּֽים׃ And the Tirshatha said unto them, that they should not eat of the most holy things, till there stood up a priest with Urim and Thummim. |
| 66 | και εγενετο πασα η εκκλησια ως εις τεσσαρες μυριαδες δισχιλιοι τριακοσιοι εξηκοντα כָּל־הַקָּהָ֖ל כְּאֶחָ֑ד אַרְבַּ֣ע רִבּ֔וֹא אַלְפַּ֖יִם שְׁלֹשׁ־מֵא֥וֹת וְשִׁשִּֽׁים׃ The whole congregation together was forty and two thousand three hundred and threescore, |
| 67 | παρεξ δουλων αυτων και παιδισκων αυτων ουτοι επτακισχιλιοι τριακοσιοι τριακοντα επτα και αδοντες και αδουσαι διακοσιοι τεσσαρακοντα πεντε מִ֠לְּבַד עַבְדֵיהֶ֤ם וְאַמְהֹֽתֵיהֶם֙ אֵ֔לֶּה שִׁבְעַ֣ת אֲלָפִ֔ים שְׁלֹ֥שׁ מֵא֖וֹת שְׁלֹשִׁ֣ים וְשִׁבְעָ֑ה וְלָהֶ֗ם מְשֹֽׁרֲרִים֙ וּמְשֹׁ֣רֲר֔וֹת מָאתַ֖יִם וְאַרְבָּעִ֥ים וַחֲמִשָּֽׁה׃ ס Beside their male servants and their maidservants, of whom there were seven thousand three hundred thirty and seven: and they had two hundred forty and five singing men and singing women. |
| 68 | ιπποι επτακοσιοι τριακοντα εξ ημιονοι διακοσιοι τεσσαρακοντα πεντε גְּמַלִּ֕ים אַרְבַּ֥ע מֵא֖וֹת שְׁלֹשִׁ֣ים וַחֲמִשָּׁ֑ה ס חֲמֹרִ֕ים שֵׁ֣שֶׁת אֲלָפִ֔ים שְׁבַ֥ע מֵא֖וֹת וְעֶשְׂרִֽים׃ Their horses, seven hundred thirty and six: their mules, two hundred forty and five: |
| 69 | καμηλοι τετρακοσιοι τριακοντα πεντε ονοι εξακισχιλιοι επτακοσιοι εικοσι וּמִקְצָת֙ רָאשֵׁ֣י הֽ͏ָאָב֔וֹת נָתְנ֖וּ לַמְּלָאכָ֑ה הַתִּרְשָׁ֜תָא נָתַ֣ן לָאוֹצָ֗ר זָהָ֞ב דַּרְכְּמֹנִ֥ים אֶ֙לֶף֙ מִזְרָק֣וֹת חֲמִשִּׁ֔ים כָּתְנוֹת֙ כֹּֽהֲנִ֔ים שְׁלֹשִׁ֖ים וַחֲמֵ֥שׁ מֵאֽוֹת׃ Their camels, four hundred thirty and five: six thousand seven hundred and twenty asses. |
| 70 | και απο μερους αρχηγων των πατριων εδωκαν εις το εργον τω νεεμια εις θησαυρον χρυσους χιλιους φιαλας πεντηκοντα και χοθωνωθ των ιερεων τριακοντα וּמֵֽרָאשֵׁ֣י הָֽאָב֗וֹת נָֽתְנוּ֙ לְאוֹצַ֣ר הַמְּלָאכָ֔ה זָהָ֕ב דַּרְכְּמוֹנִ֖ים שְׁתֵּ֣י רִבּ֑וֹת וְכֶ֕סֶף מָנִ֖ים אַלְפַּ֥יִם וּמָאתָֽיִם׃ And some of the chief of the fathers gave unto the work. The Tirshatha gave to the treasure a thousand drams of gold, fifty basons, five hundred and thirty priests' garments. |
| 71 | και απο αρχηγων των πατριων εδωκαν εις θησαυρον του εργου χρυσιου δυο μυριαδας και αργυριου μνας δισχιλιας διακοσιας וַאֲשֶׁ֣ר נָתְנוּ֮ שְׁאֵרִ֣ית הָעָם֒ זָהָ֗ב דַּרְכְּמוֹנִים֙ שְׁתֵּ֣י רִבּ֔וֹא וְכֶ֖סֶף מָנִ֣ים אַלְפָּ֑יִם וְכָתְנֹ֥ת כֹּֽהֲנִ֖ים שִׁשִּׁ֥ים וְשִׁבְעָֽה׃ פ And some of the chief of the fathers gave to the treasure of the work twenty thousand drams of gold, and two thousand and two hundred pound of silver. |
| 72 | και εδωκαν οι καταλοιποι του λαου χρυσιου δυο μυριαδας και αργυριου μνας δισχιλιας διακοσιας και χοθωνωθ των ιερεων εξηκοντα επτα וַיֵּשְׁב֣וּ הַכֹּהֲנִ֣ים וְהַלְוִיִּ֡ם וְהַשּׁוֹעֲרִים֩ וְהַמְשֹׁרְרִ֨ים וּמִן־הָעָ֧ם וְהַנְּתִינִ֛ים וְכָל־יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל בְּעָרֵיהֶ֑ם וַיִּגַּע֙ הַחֹ֣דֶשׁ הַשְּׁבִיעִ֔י וּבְנֵ֥י יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל בְּעָרֵיהֶֽם׃ And that which the rest of the people gave was twenty thousand drams of gold, and two thousand pound of silver, and threescore and seven priests' garments. |
| 73 | και εκαθισαν οι ιερεις και οι λευιται και οι πυλωροι και οι αδοντες και οι απο του λαου και οι ναθινιμ και πας ισραηλ εν πολεσιν αυτων και εφθασεν ο μην ο εβδομος και οι υιοι ισραηλ εν πολεσιν αυτων So the priests, and the Levites, and the porters, and the singers, and some of the people, and the Nethinims, and all Israel, dwelt in their cities; and when the seventh month came, the children of Israel were in their cities. |
