The Agreement of the People
και επι των σφραγιζοντων νεεμιας υιος αχαλια και σεδεκιας
ּבְכָל־זֹ֕את אֲנַ֛חְנוּ כֹּרְתִ֥ים אֲמָנָ֖ה וְכֹתְבִ֑ים וְעַל֙ הֶֽחָת֔וּם שָׂרֵ֥ינוּ לְוִיֵּ֖נוּ כֹּהֲנֵֽינוּ׃
Now those that sealed were, Nehemiah, the Tirshatha, the son of Hachaliah, and Zidkijah,
2 υιος σαραια και αζαρια και ιερμια
ְעַ֖ל הַחֲתוּמִ֑ים נְחֶמְיָ֧ה הַתִּרְשָׁ֛תָא בֶּן־חֲכַלְיָ֖ה וְצִדְקִיָּֽה׃
Seraiah, Azariah, Jeremiah,
3 φασουρ αμαρια μελχια
ְׂרָיָ֥ה עֲזַרְיָ֖ה יִרְמְיָֽה׃
Pashur, Amariah, Malchijah,
4 ατους σεβανι μαλουχ
ַּשְׁח֥וּר אֲמַרְיָ֖ה מַלְכִּיָּֽה׃
Hattush, Shebaniah, Malluch,
5 ιραμ μεραμωθ αβδια
ַטּ֥וּשׁ שְׁבַנְיָ֖ה מַלּֽוּךְ׃
Harim, Meremoth, Obadiah,
6 δανιηλ γαναθων βαρουχ
ָרִ֥ם מְרֵמ֖וֹת עֹֽבַדְיָֽה׃
Daniel, Ginnethon, Baruch,
7 μεσουλαμ αβια μιαμιν
ָּנִיֵּ֥אל גִּנְּת֖וֹן בָּרֽוּךְ׃
Meshullam, Abijah, Mijamin,
8 μααζια βελγαι σαμαια ουτοι ιερεις
ְשֻׁלָּ֥ם אֲבִיָּ֖ה מִיָּמִֽן׃
Maaziah, Bilgai, Shemaiah: these were the priests.
9 και οι λευιται ιησους υιος αζανια βαναιου απο υιων ηναδαδ καδμιηλ
ַֽעַזְיָ֥ה בִלְגַּ֖י שְׁמַֽעְיָ֑ה אֵ֖לֶּה הַכֹּהֲנִֽים׃ ס
And the Levites: both Jeshua the son of Azaniah, Binnui of the sons of Henadad, Kadmiel;
10 και οι αδελφοι αυτου σαβανια ωδουια καλιτα φελεια αναν
ְֽהַלְוִיִּ֑ם וְיֵשׁ֙וּעַ֙ בֶּן־אֲזַנְיָ֔ה בִּנּ֕וּי מִבְּנֵ֥י חֵנָדָ֖ד קַדְמִיאֵֽל׃
And their brethren, Shebaniah, Hodijah, Kelita, Pelaiah, Hanan,
11 μιχα ροωβ εσεβιας
ַאֲחֵיהֶ֑ם שְׁבַנְיָ֧ה הֽוֹדִיָּ֛ה קְלִיטָ֖א פְּלָאיָ֥ה חָנָֽן׃
Micha, Rehob, Hashabiah,
12 ζαχωρ σαραβια σεβανια
ִיכָ֥א רְח֖וֹב חֲשַׁבְיָֽה׃
Zaccur, Sherebiah, Shebaniah,
13 ωδουια υιοι βανουναι
ַכּ֥וּר שֵׁרֵֽבְיָ֖ה שְׁבַנְיָֽה׃
Hodijah, Bani, Beninu.
14 αρχοντες του λαου φορος φααθμωαβ ηλαμ ζαθουια υιοι
וֹדִיָּ֥ה בָנִ֖י בְּנִֽינוּ׃ ס
The chief of the people; Parosh, Pahathmoab, Elam, Zatthu, Bani,
15 βανι ασγαδ βηβαι
ָאשֵׁ֖י הָעָ֑ם פַּרְעֹשׁ֙ פַּחַ֣ת מוֹאָ֔ב עֵילָ֥ם זַתּ֖וּא בָּנִֽי׃
Bunni, Azgad, Bebai,
16 εδανια βαγοι ηδιν
ֻּנִּ֥י עַזְגָּ֖ד בֵּבָֽי׃
Adonijah, Bigvai, Adin,
17 ατηρ εζεκια αζουρ
ֲדֹנִיָּ֥ה בִגְוַ֖י עָדִֽין׃
Ater, Hizkijah, Azzur,
18 οδουια ησαμ βησι
ָטֵ֥ר חִזְקִיָּ֖ה עַזּֽוּר׃
Hodijah, Hashum, Bezai,
19 αριφ αναθωθ νωβαι
וֹדִיָּ֥ה חָשֻׁ֖ם בֵּצָֽי׃
Hariph, Anathoth, Nebai,
20 μαγαφης μεσουλαμ ηζιρ
ָרִ֥יף עֲנָת֖וֹת *נובי **נֵיבָֽי׃
Magpiash, Meshullam, Hezir,
21 μεσωζεβηλ σαδδουκ ιεδδουα
ַגְפִּיעָ֥שׁ מְשֻׁלָּ֖ם חֵזִֽיר׃
Meshezabeel, Zadok, Jaddua,
22 φαλτια αναν αναια
ְשֵׁיזַבְאֵ֥ל צָד֖וֹק יַדּֽוּעַ׃
Pelatiah, Hanan, Anaiah,
23 ωσηε ανανια ασουβ
ְּלַטְיָ֥ה חָנָ֖ן עֲנָיָֽה׃
Hoshea, Hananiah, Hashub,
24 αλωης φαλαι σωβηκ
וֹשֵׁ֥עַ חֲנַנְיָ֖ה חַשּֽׁוּב׃
Hallohesh, Pileha, Shobek,
25 ραουμ εσαβανα μαασαια
ַלּוֹחֵ֥שׁ פִּלְחָ֖א שׁוֹבֵֽק׃
Rehum, Hashabnah, Maaseiah,
26 και αια αιναν ηναν
ְח֥וּם חֲשַׁבְנָ֖ה מַעֲשֵׂיָֽה׃
And Ahijah, Hanan, Anan,
27 μαλουχ ηραμ βαανα
ַאֲחִיָּ֥ה חָנָ֖ן עָנָֽן׃
Malluch, Harim, Baanah.
28 και οι καταλοιποι του λαου οι ιερεις οι λευιται οι πυλωροι οι αδοντες οι ναθινιμ και πας ο προσπορευομενος απο λαων της γης προς νομον του θεου γυναικες αυτων υιοι αυτων θυγατερες αυτων πας ο ειδως και συνιων
ַלּ֥וּךְ חָרִ֖ם בַּעֲנָֽה׃
And the rest of the people, the priests, the Levites, the porters, the singers, the Nethinims, and all they that had separated themselves from the people of the lands unto the law of God, their wives, their sons, and their daughters, every one having knowledge, and having understanding;
29 ενισχυον επι τους αδελφους αυτων κατηρασαντο αυτους και εισηλθοσαν εν αρα και εν ορκω του πορευεσθαι εν νομω του θεου ος εδοθη εν χειρι μωυση δουλου του θεου και φυλασσεσθαι και ποιειν πασας τας εντολας κυριου ημων και κριματα αυτου
ּשְׁאָ֣ר הָעָ֡ם הַכֹּהֲנִ֣ים הַ֠לְוִיִּם הַשּׁוֹעֲרִ֨ים הַמְשֹׁרְרִ֜ים הַנְּתִינִ֗ים וְֽכָל־הַנִּבְדָּ֞ל מֵעַמֵּ֤י הָאֲרָצוֹת֙ אֶל־תּוֹרַ֣ת הָאֱלֹהִ֔ים נְשֵׁיהֶ֖ם בְּנֵיהֶ֣ם וּבְנֹתֵיהֶ֑ם כֹּ֖ל יוֹדֵ֥עַ מֵבִֽין׃
They clave to their brethren, their nobles, and entered into a curse, and into an oath, to walk in God's law, which was given by Moses the servant of God, and to observe and do all the commandments of the LORD our Lord, and his judgments and his statutes;
30 και του μη δουναι θυγατερας ημων τοις λαοις της γης και τας θυγατερας αυτων ου λημψομεθα τοις υιοις ημων
ַחֲזִיקִ֣ים עַל־אֲחֵיהֶם֮ אַדִּירֵיהֶם֒ וּבָאִ֞ים בְּאָלָ֣ה וּבִשְׁבוּעָ֗ה לָלֶ֙כֶת֙ בְּתוֹרַ֣ת הָאֱלֹהִ֔ים אֲשֶׁ֣ר נִתְּנָ֔ה בְּיַ֖ד מֹשֶׁ֣ה עֶֽבֶד־הֽ͏ָאֱלֹהִ֑ים וְלִשְׁמ֣וֹר וְלַעֲשׂ֗וֹת אֶת־כָּל־מִצְוֺת֙ יְהוָ֣ה אֲדֹנֵ֔ינוּ וּמִשְׁפָּטָ֖יו וְחֻקָּֽיו׃
And that we would not give our daughters unto the people of the land, not take their daughters for our sons:
31 και λαοι της γης οι φεροντες τους αγορασμους και πασαν πρασιν εν ημερα του σαββατου αποδοσθαι ουκ αγορωμεν παρ αυτων εν σαββατω και εν ημερα αγια και ανησομεν το ετος το εβδομον και απαιτησιν πασης χειρος
ַאֲשֶׁ֛ר לֹא־נִתֵּ֥ן בְּנֹתֵ֖ינוּ לְעַמֵּ֣י הָאָ֑רֶץ וְאֶת־בְּנֹ֣תֵיהֶ֔ם לֹ֥א נִקַּ֖ח לְבָנֵֽינוּ׃
And if the people of the land bring ware or any victuals on the sabbath day to sell, that we would not buy it of them on the sabbath, or on the holy day: and that we would leave the seventh year, and the exaction of every debt.
32 και στησομεν εφ ημας εντολας δουναι εφ ημας τριτον του διδραχμου κατ ενιαυτον εις δουλειαν οικου θεου ημων
ְעַמֵּ֣י הָאָ֡רֶץ הַֽמְבִיאִים֩ אֶת־הַמַּקָּח֨וֹת וְכָל־שֶׁ֜בֶר בְּי֤וֹם הַשַּׁבָּת֙ לִמְכּ֔וֹר לֹא־נִקַּ֥ח מֵהֶ֛ם בַּשַּׁבָּ֖ת וּבְי֣וֹם קֹ֑דֶשׁ וְנִטֹּ֛שׁ אֶת־הַשָּׁנָ֥ה הַשְּׁבִיעִ֖ית וּמַשָּׁ֥א כָל־יָֽד׃
Also we made ordinances for us, to charge ourselves yearly with the third part of a shekel for the service of the house of our God;
33 εις αρτους του προσωπου και θυσιαν του ενδελεχισμου και εις ολοκαυτωμα του ενδελεχισμου των σαββατων των νουμηνιων εις τας εορτας και εις τα αγια και τα περι αμαρτιας εξιλασασθαι περι ισραηλ και εις εργα οικου θεου ημων
ְהֶעֱמַ֤דְנוּ עָלֵ֙ינוּ֙ מִצְוֺ֔ת לָתֵ֥ת עָלֵ֛ינוּ שְׁלִשִׁ֥ית הַשֶּׁ֖קֶל בַּשָּׁנָ֑ה לַעֲבֹדַ֖ת בֵּ֥ית אֱלֹהֵֽינוּ׃
For the showbread, and for the continual food offering, and for the continual burnt offering, of the sabbaths, of the new moons, for the set feasts, and for the holy things, and for the sin offerings to make an atonement for Israel, and for all the work of the house of our God.
34 και κληρους εβαλομεν περι κληρου ξυλοφοριας οι ιερεις και οι λευιται και ο λαος ενεγκαι εις οικον θεου ημων εις οικον πατριων ημων εις καιρους απο χρονων ενιαυτον κατ ενιαυτον εκκαυσαι επι το θυσιαστηριον κυριου θεου ημων ως γεγραπται εν τω νομω
ְלֶ֣חֶם הַֽמַּעֲרֶ֡כֶת וּמִנְחַ֣ת הַתָּמִ֣יד וּלְעוֹלַ֣ת הַ֠תָּמִיד הַשַּׁבָּת֨וֹת הֶחֳדָשִׁ֜ים לַמּוֹעֲדִ֗ים וְלַקֳּדָשִׁים֙ וְלַ֣חַטָּא֔וֹת לְכַפֵּ֖ר עַל־יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל וְכֹ֖ל מְלֶ֥אכֶת בֵּית־אֱלֹהֵֽינוּ׃ ס
And we cast the lots among the priests, the Levites, and the people, for the wood offering, to bring it into the house of our God, after the houses of our fathers, at times appointed year by year, to burn upon the altar of the LORD our God, as it is written in the law:
35 και ενεγκαι τα πρωτογενηματα της γης ημων και πρωτογενηματα καρπου παντος ξυλου ενιαυτον κατ ενιαυτον εις οικον κυριου
ְהַגּוֹרָל֨וֹת הִפַּ֜לְנוּ עַל־קֻרְבַּ֣ן הָעֵצִ֗ים הַכֹּהֲנִ֣ים הַלְוִיִּם֮ וְהָעָם֒ לְ֠הָבִיא לְבֵ֨ית אֱלֹהֵ֧ינוּ לְבֵית־אֲבֹתֵ֛ינוּ לְעִתִּ֥ים מְזֻמָּנִ֖ים שָׁנָ֣ה בְשָׁנָ֑ה לְבַעֵ֗ר עַל־מִזְבַּח֙ יְהוָ֣ה אֱלֹהֵ֔ינוּ כַּכָּת֖וּב בַּתּוֹרָֽה׃
And to bring the first-fruits of our ground, and the first-fruits of all fruit of all trees, year by year, unto the house of the LORD:
36 και τα πρωτοτοκα υιων ημων και κτηνων ημων ως γεγραπται εν τω νομω και τα πρωτοτοκα βοων ημων και ποιμνιων ημων ενεγκαι εις οικον θεου ημων τοις ιερευσιν τοις λειτουργουσιν εν οικω θεου ημων
ּלְהָבִ֞יא אֶת־בִּכּוּרֵ֣י אַדְמָתֵ֗נוּ וּבִכּוּרֵ֛י כָּל־פְּרִ֥י כָל־עֵ֖ץ שָׁנָ֣ה בְשָׁנָ֑ה לְבֵ֖ית יְהוָֽה׃
Also the firstborn of our sons, and of our cattle, as it is written in the law, and the firstlings of our herds and of our flocks, to bring to the house of our God, unto the priests that minister in the house of our God:
37 και την απαρχην σιτων ημων και τον καρπον παντος ξυλου οινου και ελαιου οισομεν τοις ιερευσιν εις γαζοφυλακιον οικου του θεου και δεκατην γης ημων τοις λευιταις και αυτοι οι λευιται δεκατουντες εν πασαις πολεσιν δουλειας ημων
ְאֶת־בְּכֹר֤וֹת בָּנֵ֙ינוּ֙ וּבְהֶמְתֵּ֔ינוּ כַּכָּת֖וּב בַּתּוֹרָ֑ה וְאֶת־בְּכוֹרֵ֨י בְקָרֵ֜ינוּ וְצֹאנֵ֗ינוּ לְהָבִיא֙ לְבֵ֣ית אֱלֹהֵ֔ינוּ לַכֹּ֣הֲנִ֔ים הַמְשָׁרְתִ֖ים בְּבֵ֥ית אֱלֹהֵֽינוּ׃
And that we should bring the first-fruits of our dough, and our offerings, and the fruit of all manner of trees, of wine and of oil, unto the priests, to the chambers of the house of our God; and the tithes of our ground unto the Levites, that the same Levites might have the tithes in all the cities of our tillage.
38 και εσται ο ιερευς υιος ααρων μετα του λευιτου εν τη δεκατη του λευιτου και οι λευιται ανοισουσιν την δεκατην της δεκατης εις οικον θεου ημων εις τα γαζοφυλακια εις οικον του θεου
ְאֶת־רֵאשִׁ֣ית עֲרִיסֹתֵ֣ינוּ וּ֠תְרוּמֹתֵינוּ וּפְרִ֨י כָל־עֵ֜ץ תִּיר֣וֹשׁ וְיִצְהָ֗ר נָבִ֤יא לַכֹּהֲנִים֙ אֶל־לִשְׁכ֣וֹת בֵּית־אֱלֹהֵ֔ינוּ וּמַעְשַׂ֥ר אַדְמָתֵ֖נוּ לַלְוִיִּ֑ם וְהֵם֙ הַלְוִיִּ֔ם הַֽמְעַשְּׂרִ֔ים בְּכֹ֖ל עָרֵ֥י עֲבֹדָתֵֽנוּ׃
And the priest the son of Aaron shall be with the Levites, when the Levites take tithes: and the Levites shall bring up the tithe of the tithes unto the house of our God, to the chambers, into the treasure house.
39 οτι εις τους θησαυρους εισοισουσιν οι υιοι ισραηλ και οι υιοι του λευι τας απαρχας του σιτου και του οινου και του ελαιου και εκει σκευη τα αγια και οι ιερεις οι λειτουργοι και οι πυλωροι και οι αδοντες και ουκ εγκαταλειψομεν τον οικον του θεου ημων
ְהָיָ֨ה הַכֹּהֵ֧ן בֶּֽן־אַהֲרֹ֛ן עִם־הַלְוִיִּ֖ם בַּעְשֵׂ֣ר הַלְוִיִּ֑ם וְהַלְוִיִּ֞ם יַעֲל֨וּ אֶת־מַעֲשַׂ֤ר הַֽמַּעֲשֵׂר֙ לְבֵ֣ית אֱלֹהֵ֔ינוּ אֶל־הַלְּשָׁכ֖וֹת לְבֵ֥ית הָאוֹצָֽר׃
For the children of Israel and the children of Levi shall bring the offering of the corn, of the new wine, and the oil, unto the chambers, where are the vessels of the sanctuary, and the priests that minister, and the porters, and the singers: and we will not forsake the house of our God.
