Jotham King of Judah
υιος εικοσι πεντε ετων ιωαθαμ εν τω βασιλευσαι αυτον και δεκα εξ ετη εβασιλευσεν εν ιερουσαλημ και ονομα της μητρος αυτου ιερουσα θυγατηρ σαδωκ
ֶּן־עֶשְׂרִ֨ים וְחָמֵ֤שׁ שָׁנָה֙ יוֹתָ֣ם בְּמָלְכ֔וֹ וְשֵׁשׁ־עֶשְׂרֵ֣ה שָׁנָ֔ה מָלַ֖ךְ בִּֽירוּשָׁלָ֑͏ִם וְשֵׁ֣ם אִמּ֔וֹ יְרוּשָׁ֖ה בַּת־צָדֽוֹק׃
Jotham was twenty and five years old when he began to reign, and he reigned sixteen years in Jerusalem. His mother's name also was Jerushah, the daughter of Zadok.
2 και εποιησεν το ευθες ενωπιον κυριου κατα παντα οσα εποιησεν οζιας ο πατηρ αυτου αλλ ουκ εισηλθεν εις τον ναον κυριου και ετι ο λαος κατεφθειρετο
ַיַּ֨עַשׂ הַיָּשָׁ֜ר בְּעֵינֵ֣י יְהוָ֗ה כְּכֹ֤ל אֲשֶׁר־עָשָׂה֙ עֻזִּיָּ֣הוּ אָבִ֔יו רַ֕ק לֹא־בָ֖א אֶל־הֵיכַ֣ל יְהוָ֑ה וְע֥וֹד הָעָ֖ם מַשְׁחִיתִֽים׃
And he did that which was right in the sight of the LORD, according to all that his father Uzziah did: nevertheless he entered not into the temple of the LORD. And the people did yet corruptly.
3 αυτος ωκοδομησεν την πυλην οικου κυριου την υψηλην και εν τειχει του οφλα ωκοδομησεν πολλα
֗וּא בָּנָ֛ה אֶת־שַׁ֥עַר בֵּית־יְהוָ֖ה הָעֶלְי֑וֹן וּבְחוֹמַ֥ת הָעֹ֛פֶל בָּנָ֖ה לָרֹֽב׃
He built the high gate of the house of the LORD, and on the wall of Ophel he built much.
4 και πολεις ωκοδομησεν εν ορει ιουδα και εν τοις δρυμοις και οικησεις και πυργους
ְעָרִ֥ים בָּנָ֖ה בְּהַר־יְהוּדָ֑ה וּבֶחֳרָשִׁ֣ים בָּנָ֔ה בִּֽירָנִיּ֖וֹת וּמִגְדָּלִֽים׃
Moreover he built cities in the mountains of Judah, and in the forests he built castles and towers.
5 αυτος εμαχεσατο προς βασιλεα υιων αμμων και κατισχυσεν επ αυτον και εδιδουν αυτω οι υιοι αμμων κατ ενιαυτον εκατον ταλαντα αργυριου και δεκα χιλιαδας κορων πυρου και κριθων δεκα χιλιαδας ταυτα εφερεν αυτω βασιλευς αμμων κατ ενιαυτον εν τω πρωτω ετει και τω δευτερω και τω τριτω
ְ֠הוּא נִלְחַ֞ם עִם־מֶ֣לֶךְ בְּנֵי־עַמּוֹן֮ וַיֶּחֱזַ֣ק עֲלֵיהֶם֒ וַיִּתְּנוּ־ל֨וֹ בְנֵֽי־עַמּ֜וֹן בַּשָּׁנָ֣ה הַהִ֗יא מֵאָה֙ כִּכַּר־כֶּ֔סֶף וַעֲשֶׂ֨רֶת אֲלָפִ֤ים כֹּרִים֙ חִטִּ֔ים וּשְׂעוֹרִ֖ים עֲשֶׂ֣רֶת אֲלָפִ֑ים זֹ֗את הֵשִׁ֤יבוּ לוֹ֙ בְּנֵ֣י עַמּ֔וֹן ס וּבַשָּׁנָ֥ה הַשֵּׁנִ֖ית וְהַשְּׁלִשִֽׁית׃
He fought also with the king of the Ammonites, and prevailed against them. And the children of Ammon gave him the same year an hundred talents of silver, and ten thousand measures of wheat, and ten thousand of barley. So much did the children of Ammon pay unto him, both the second year, and the third.
6 και κατισχυσεν ιωαθαμ οτι ητοιμασεν τας οδους αυτου εναντι κυριου θεου αυτου
ַיִּתְחַזֵּ֖ק יוֹתָ֑ם כִּ֚י הֵכִ֣ין דְּרָכָ֔יו לִפְנֵ֖י יְהוָ֥ה אֱלֹהָֽיו׃
So Jotham became mighty, because he prepared his ways before the LORD his God.
7 και οι λοιποι λογοι ιωαθαμ και ο πολεμος και αι πραξεις αυτου ιδου γεγραμμενοι επι βιβλιω βασιλεων ιουδα και ισραηλ
ְיֶתֶר֙ דִּבְרֵ֣י יוֹתָ֔ם וְכָל־מִלְחֲמֹתָ֖יו וּדְרָכָ֑יו הִנָּ֣ם כְּתוּבִ֔ים עַל־סֵ֥פֶר מַלְכֵֽי־יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל וִיהוּדָֽה׃
Now the rest of the acts of Jotham, and all his wars, and his ways, lo, they are written in the book of the kings of Israel and Judah.

ֶּן־עֶשְׂרִ֧ים וְחָמֵ֛שׁ שָׁנָ֖ה הָיָ֣ה בְמָלְכ֑וֹ וְשֵׁשׁ־עֶשְׂרֵ֣ה שָׁנָ֔ה מָלַ֖ךְ בִּירוּשָׁלָֽ͏ִם׃
He was five and twenty years old when he began to reign, and reigned sixteen years in Jerusalem.
9 και εκοιμηθη ιωαθαμ μετα των πατερων αυτου και εταφη εν πολει δαυιδ και εβασιλευσεν αχαζ υιος αυτου αντ αυτου
ַיִּשְׁכַּ֤ב יוֹתָם֙ עִם־אֲבֹתָ֔יו וַיִּקְבְּר֥וּ אֹת֖וֹ בְּעִ֣יר דָּוִ֑יד וַיִּמְלֹ֛ךְ אָחָ֥ז בְּנ֖וֹ תַּחְתָּֽיו׃ פ
And Jotham slept with his fathers, and they buried him in the city of David: and Ahaz his son reigned in his position.
