The Gold Lampstand and the Two Olive Trees
και επεστρεψεν ο αγγελος ο λαλων εν εμοι και εξηγειρεν με ον τροπον οταν εξεγερθη ανθρωπος εξ υπνου αυτου
וַיָּ֕שָׁב הַמַּלְאָ֖ךְ הַדֹּבֵ֣ר בִּ֑י וַיְעִירֵ֕נִי כְּאִ֖ישׁ אֲשֶׁר־יֵע֥וֹר מִשְּׁנָתֽוֹ׃
And the angel that talked with me came again, and waked me, as a man that is wakened out of his sleep.
2 και ειπεν προς με τι συ βλεπεις και ειπα εωρακα και ιδου λυχνια χρυση ολη και το λαμπαδιον επανω αυτης και επτα λυχνοι επανω αυτης και επτα επαρυστριδες τοις λυχνοις τοις επανω αυτης
וַיֹּ֣אמֶר אֵלַ֔י מָ֥ה אַתָּ֖ה רֹאֶ֑ה *ויאמר **וָאֹמַ֡ר רָאִ֣יתִי ׀ וְהִנֵּ֣ה מְנוֹרַת֩ זָהָ֨ב כֻּלָּ֜הּ וְגֻלָּ֣הּ עַל־רֹאשָׁ֗הּ וְשִׁבְעָ֤ה נֵרֹתֶ֙יהָ֙ עָלֶ֔יהָ שִׁבְעָ֤ה וְשִׁבְעָה֙ מֽוּצָק֔וֹת לַנֵּר֖וֹת אֲשֶׁ֥ר עַל־רֹאשָֽׁהּ׃
And said unto me, What see you? And I said, I have looked, and behold a candlestick all of gold, with a bowl upon the top of it, and his seven lamps thereon, and seven pipes to the seven lamps, which are upon the top thereof:
3 και δυο ελαιαι επανω αυτης μια εκ δεξιων του λαμπαδιου και μια εξ ευωνυμων
וּשְׁנַ֥יִם זֵיתִ֖ים עָלֶ֑יהָ אֶחָד֙ מִימִ֣ין הַגֻּלָּ֔ה וְאֶחָ֖ד עַל־שְׂמֹאלָֽהּ׃
And two olive trees by it, one upon the right side of the bowl, and the other upon the left side thereof.
4 και επηρωτησα και ειπον προς τον αγγελον τον λαλουντα εν εμοι λεγων τι εστιν ταυτα κυριε
וָאַ֙עַן֙ וָֽאֹמַ֔ר אֶל־הַמַּלְאָ֛ךְ הַדֹּבֵ֥ר בִּ֖י לֵאמֹ֑ר מָה־אֵ֖לֶּה אֲדֹנִֽי׃
So I answered and spoke to the angel that talked with me, saying, What are these, my lord?
5 και απεκριθη ο αγγελος ο λαλων εν εμοι και ειπεν προς με ου γινωσκεις τι εστιν ταυτα και ειπα ουχι κυριε
וַ֠יַּעַן הַמַּלְאָ֞ךְ הַדֹּבֵ֥ר בִּי֙ וַיֹּ֣אמֶר אֵלַ֔י הֲל֥וֹא יָדַ֖עְתָּ מָה־הֵ֣מָּה אֵ֑לֶּה וָאֹמַ֖ר לֹ֥א אֲדֹנִֽי׃
Then the angel that talked with me answered and said unto me, Know you not what these be? And I said, No, my lord.
6 και απεκριθη και ειπεν προς με λεγων ουτος ο λογος κυριου προς ζοροβαβελ λεγων ουκ εν δυναμει μεγαλη ουδε εν ισχυι αλλ η εν πνευματι μου λεγει κυριος παντοκρατωρ
וַיַּ֜עַן וַיֹּ֤אמֶר אֵלַי֙ לֵאמֹ֔ר זֶ֚ה דְּבַר־יְהוָ֔ה אֶל־זְרֻבָּבֶ֖ל לֵאמֹ֑ר לֹ֤א בְחַ֙יִל֙ וְלֹ֣א בְכֹ֔חַ כִּ֣י אִם־בְּרוּחִ֔י אָמַ֖ר יְהוָ֥ה צְבָאֽוֹת׃
Then he answered and spoke unto me, saying, This is the word of the LORD unto Zerubbabel, saying, Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, says the LORD of hosts.
7 τις ει συ το ορος το μεγα προ προσωπου ζοροβαβελ του κατορθωσαι και εξοισω τον λιθον της κληρονομιας ισοτητα χαριτος χαριτα αυτης
מִֽי־אַתָּ֧ה הַֽר־הַגָּד֛וֹל לִפְנֵ֥י זְרֻבָּבֶ֖ל לְמִישֹׁ֑ר וְהוֹצִיא֙ אֶת־הָאֶ֣בֶן הָרֹאשָׁ֔ה תְּשֻׁא֕וֹת חֵ֥ן חֵ֖ן לָֽהּ׃ פ
Who are you, O great mountain? before Zerubbabel you shall become a plain: and he shall bring forth the headstone thereof with shoutings, crying, Grace, grace unto it.
8 και εγενετο λογος κυριου προς με λεγων
וַיְהִ֥י דְבַר־יְהוָ֖ה אֵלַ֥י לֵאמֹֽר׃
Moreover the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,
9 αι χειρες ζοροβαβελ εθεμελιωσαν τον οικον τουτον και αι χειρες αυτου επιτελεσουσιν αυτον και επιγνωση διοτι κυριος παντοκρατωρ εξαπεσταλκεν με προς σε
יְדֵ֣י זְרֻבָּבֶ֗ל יִסְּד֛וּ הַבַּ֥יִת הַזֶּ֖ה וְיָדָ֣יו תְּבַצַּ֑עְנָה וְיָ֣דַעְתָּ֔ כִּֽי־יְהוָ֥ה צְבָא֖וֹת שְׁלָחַ֥נִי אֲלֵיכֶֽם׃
The hands of Zerubbabel have laid the foundation of this house; his hands shall also finish it; and you shall know that the LORD of hosts has sent me unto you.
10 διοτι τις εξουδενωσεν εις ημερας μικρας και χαρουνται και οψονται τον λιθον τον κασσιτερινον εν χειρι ζοροβαβελ επτα ουτοι οφθαλμοι κυριου εισιν οι επιβλεποντες επι πασαν την γην
כִּ֣י מִ֣י בַז֮ לְי֣וֹם קְטַנּוֹת֒ וְשָׂמְח֗וּ וְרָא֞וּ אֶת־הָאֶ֧בֶן הַבְּדִ֛יל בְּיַ֥ד זְרֻבָּבֶ֖ל שִׁבְעָה־אֵ֑לֶּה עֵינֵ֣י יְהוָ֔ה הֵ֥מָּה מְשׁוֹטְטִ֖ים בְּכָל־הָאָֽרֶץ׃
For who has despised the day of small things? for they shall rejoice, and shall see the plummet in the hand of Zerubbabel with those seven; they are the eyes of the LORD, which run back and forth through the whole earth.
11 και απεκριθην και ειπα προς αυτον τι αι δυο ελαιαι αυται αι εκ δεξιων της λυχνιας και εξ ευωνυμων
וָאַ֖עַן וָאֹמַ֣ר אֵלָ֑יו מַה־שְּׁנֵ֤י הַזֵּיתִים֙ הָאֵ֔לֶה עַל־יְמִ֥ין הַמְּנוֹרָ֖ה וְעַל־שְׂמֹאולָֽהּ׃
Then answered I, and said unto him, What are these two olive trees upon the right side of the candlestick and upon the left side thereof?
12 και επηρωτησα εκ δευτερου και ειπα προς αυτον τι οι δυο κλαδοι των ελαιων οι εν ταις χερσιν των δυο μυξωτηρων των χρυσων των επιχεοντων και επαναγοντων τας επαρυστριδας τας χρυσας
וָאַ֣עַן שֵׁנִ֔ית וָאֹמַ֖ר אֵלָ֑יו מַה־שְׁתֵּ֞י שִׁבֲּלֵ֣י הַזֵּיתִ֗ים אֲשֶׁר֙ בְּיַ֗ד שְׁנֵי֙ צַנְתְּר֣וֹת הַזָּהָ֔ב הַֽמְרִיקִ֥ים מֵעֲלֵיהֶ֖ם הַזָּהָֽב׃
And I answered again, and said unto him, What be these two olive branches which through the two golden pipes empty the golden oil out of themselves?
13 και ειπεν προς με ουκ οιδας τι εστιν ταυτα και ειπα ουχι κυριε
וַיֹּ֤אמֶר אֵלַי֙ לֵאמֹ֔ר הֲל֥וֹא יָדַ֖עְתָּ מָה־אֵ֑לֶּה וָאֹמַ֖ר לֹ֥א אֲדֹנִֽי׃
And he answered me and said, Know you not what these be? And I said, No, my lord.
14 και ειπεν ουτοι οι δυο υιοι της πιοτητος παρεστηκασιν τω κυριω πασης της γης
וַיֹּ֕אמֶר אֵ֖לֶּה שְׁנֵ֣י בְנֵֽי־הַיִּצְהָ֑ר הָעֹמְדִ֖ים עַל־אֲד֥וֹן כָּל־הָאָֽרֶץ׃
Then said he, These are the two anointed ones, that stand by the LORD of the whole earth.
