For the director of music. A psalm of David.
εις το τελος ψαλμος τω δαυιδ εισακουσον ο θεος της φωνης μου εν τω δεεσθαι με απο φοβου εχθρου εξελου την ψυχην μου
ַמְנַצֵּ֗חַ מִזְמ֥וֹר לְדָוִֽד׃
Hear my voice, O God, in my prayer: preserve my life from fear of the enemy.
2 εσκεπασας με απο συστροφης πονηρευομενων απο πληθους εργαζομενων την ανομιαν
ְׁמַע־אֱלֹהִ֣ים קוֹלִ֣י בְשִׂיחִ֑י מִפַּ֥חַד א֝וֹיֵ֗ב תִּצֹּ֥ר חַיָּֽי׃
Hide me from the secret counsel of the wicked; from the insurrection of the workers of iniquity:
3 οιτινες ηκονησαν ως ρομφαιαν τας γλωσσας αυτων ενετειναν τοξον αυτων πραγμα πικρον
ַּ֭סְתִּירֵנִי מִסּ֣וֹד מְרֵעִ֑ים מֵ֝רִגְשַׁ֗ת פֹּ֣עֲלֵי אָֽוֶן׃
Who sharpen their tongue like a sword, and bend their bows to shoot their arrows, even bitter words:
4 του κατατοξευσαι εν αποκρυφοις αμωμον εξαπινα κατατοξευσουσιν αυτον και ου φοβηθησονται
ֲשֶׁ֤ר שָׁנְנ֣וּ כַחֶ֣רֶב לְשׁוֹנָ֑ם דָּרְכ֥וּ חִ֝צָּ֗ם דָּבָ֥ר מָֽר׃
That they may shoot in secret at the perfect: suddenly do they shoot at him, and fear not.
5 εκραταιωσαν εαυτοις λογον πονηρον διηγησαντο του κρυψαι παγιδας ειπαν τις οψεται αυτους
ִיר֣וֹת בַּמִּסְתָּרִ֣ים תָּ֑ם פִּתְאֹ֥ם יֹ֝רֻ֗הוּ וְלֹ֣א יִירָֽאוּ׃
They encourage themselves in an evil matter: they commune of laying snares privately; they say, Who shall see them?
6 εξηρευνησαν ανομιας εξελιπον εξερευνωντες εξερευνησει προσελευσεται ανθρωπος και καρδια βαθεια
ְחַזְּקוּ־לָ֨מוֹ ׀ דָּ֘בָ֤ר רָ֗ע יְֽ֭סַפְּרוּ לִטְמ֣וֹן מוֹקְשִׁ֑ים אָ֝מְר֗וּ מִ֣י יִרְאֶה־לָּֽמוֹ׃
They search out iniquities; they accomplish a diligent search: both the inward thought of every one of them, and the heart, is deep.
7 και υψωθησεται ο θεος βελος νηπιων εγενηθησαν αι πληγαι αυτων
ַֽחְפְּֽשׂוּ־עוֹלֹ֗ת תַּ֭מְנוּ חֵ֣פֶשׂ מְחֻפָּ֑שׂ וְקֶ֥רֶב אִ֝֗ישׁ וְלֵ֣ב עָמֹֽק׃
But God shall shoot at them with an arrow; suddenly shall they be wounded.
8 και εξησθενησαν επ αυτους αι γλωσσαι αυτων εταραχθησαν παντες οι θεωρουντες αυτους
ַיֹּרֵ֗ם אֱלֹ֫הִ֥ים חֵ֥ץ פִּתְא֑וֹם הָ֝י֗וּ מַכּוֹתָֽם׃
So they shall make their own tongue to fall upon themselves: all that see them shall flee away.
9 και εφοβηθη πας ανθρωπος και ανηγγειλαν τα εργα του θεου και τα ποιηματα αυτου συνηκαν
ַיַּכְשִׁיל֣וּהוּ עָלֵ֣ימוֹ לְשׁוֹנָ֑ם יִ֝תְנֹדֲד֗וּ כָּל־רֹ֥אֵה בָֽם׃
And all men shall fear, and shall declare the work of God; for they shall wisely consider of his doing.
10 ευφρανθησεται δικαιος επι τω κυριω και ελπιει επ αυτον και επαινεσθησονται παντες οι ευθεις τη καρδια
ַיִּֽירְא֗וּ כָּל־אָ֫דָ֥ם וַ֭יַּגִּידוּ פֹּ֥עַל אֱלֹהִ֗ים וּֽמַעֲשֵׂ֥הוּ הִשְׂכִּֽילוּ׃
The righteous shall be glad in the LORD, and shall trust in him; and all the upright in heart shall glory.
