| 1 | A Message About Moabτη μωαβ ουτως ειπεν κυριος ουαι επι ναβαυ οτι ωλετο ελημφθη καριαθαιμ ησχυνθη αμαθ και ηττηθηְמוֹאָ֡ב כֹּֽה־אָמַר֩ יְהוָ֨ה צְבָא֜וֹת אֱלֹהֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֗ל ה֤וֹי אֶל־נְבוֹ֙ כִּ֣י שֻׁדָּ֔דָה הֹבִ֥ישָׁה נִלְכְּדָ֖ה קִרְיָתָ֑יִם הֹבִ֥ישָׁה הַמִּשְׂגָּ֖ב וָחָֽתָּה׃ Against Moab thus says the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Woe unto Nebo! for it is spoiled: Kiriathaim is confounded and taken: Misgab is confounded and dismayed. |

| 2 | ουκ εστιν ετι ιατρεια μωαβ αγαυριαμα εν εσεβων ελογισαντο επ αυτην κακα εκοψαμεν αυτην απο εθνους και παυσιν παυσεται οπισθεν σου βαδιειται μαχαιρα ֵ֣ין עוֹד֮ תְּהִלַּ֣ת מוֹאָב֒ בְּחֶשְׁבּ֗וֹן חָשְׁב֤וּ עָלֶ֙יהָ֙ רָעָ֔ה לְכ֖וּ וְנַכְרִיתֶ֣נָּה מִגּ֑וֹי גַּם־מַדְמֵ֣ן תִּדֹּ֔מִּי אַחֲרַ֖יִךְ תֵּ֥לֶךְ חָֽרֶב׃ There shall be no more praise of Moab: in Heshbon they have devised evil against it; come, and let us cut it off from being a nation. Also you shall be cut down, O Madmen; the sword shall pursue you. |
| 3 | οτι φωνη κεκραγοτων εξ ωρωναιμ ολεθρος και συντριμμα μεγα ֥וֹל צְעָקָ֖ה מֵחֹֽרוֹנָ֑יִם שֹׁ֖ד וָשֶׁ֥בֶר גָּדֽוֹל׃ A voice of crying shall be from Horonaim, spoiling and great destruction. |
| 4 | συνετριβη μωαβ αναγγειλατε εις ζογορα ִשְׁבְּרָ֖ה מוֹאָ֑ב הִשְׁמִ֥יעוּ זְּעָקָ֖ה *צעוריה **צְעִירֶֽיהָ׃ Moab is destroyed; her little ones have caused a cry to be heard. |
| 5 | οτι επλησθη αλαωθ εν κλαυθμω αναβησεται κλαιων εν οδω ωρωναιμ κραυγην συντριμματος ηκουσατε ִּ֚י מַעֲלֵ֣ה *הלחות **הַלּוּחִ֔ית בִּבְכִ֖י יַֽעֲלֶה־בֶּ֑כִי כִּ֚י בְּמוֹרַ֣ד חוֹרֹנַ֔יִם צָרֵ֥י צַֽעֲקַת־שֶׁ֖בֶר שָׁמֵֽעוּ׃ For in the going up of Luhith continual weeping shall go up; for in the going down of Horonaim the enemies have heard a cry of destruction. |
| 6 | φευγετε και σωσατε τας ψυχας υμων και εσεσθε ωσπερ ονος αγριος εν ερημω ֻ֖סוּ מַלְּט֣וּ נַפְשְׁכֶ֑ם וְתִֽהְיֶ֕ינָה כַּעֲרוֹעֵ֖ר בַּמִּדְבָּֽר׃ Flee, save your lives, and be like the heath in the wilderness. |
| 7 | επειδη επεποιθεις εν οχυρωμασιν σου και συ συλλημφθηση και εξελευσεται χαμως εν αποικια οι ιερεις αυτου και οι αρχοντες αυτου αμα ִּ֠י יַ֣עַן בִּטְחֵ֤ךְ בְּמַעֲשַׂ֙יִךְ֙ וּבְא֣וֹצְרוֹתַ֔יִךְ גַּם־אַ֖תְּ תִּלָּכֵ֑דִי וְיָצָ֤א *כמיש **כְמוֹשׁ֙ בַּגּוֹלָ֔ה כֹּהֲנָ֥יו וְשָׂרָ֖יו *יחד **יַחְדָּֽיו׃ For because you have trusted in your works and in your treasures, you shall also be taken: and Chemosh shall go forth into captivity with his priests and his princes together. |
| 8 | και ηξει ολεθρος επι πασαν πολιν και πολις ου μη σωθη και απολειται ο αυλων και εξολεθρευθησεται η πεδινη καθως ειπεν κυριος ְיָבֹ֨א שֹׁדֵ֜ד אֶל־כָּל־עִ֗יר וְעִיר֙ לֹ֣א תִמָּלֵ֔ט וְאָבַ֥ד הָעֵ֖מֶק וְנִשְׁמַ֣ד הַמִּישֹׁ֑ר אֲשֶׁ֖ר אָמַ֥ר יְהוָֽה׃ And the spoiler shall come upon every city, and no city shall escape: the valley also shall perish, and the plain shall be destroyed, as the LORD has spoken. |
| 9 | δοτε σημεια τη μωαβ οτι αφη αναφθησεται και πασαι αι πολεις αυτης εις αβατον εσονται ποθεν ενοικος αυτη ְּנוּ־צִ֣יץ לְמוֹאָ֔ב כִּ֥י נָצֹ֖א תֵּצֵ֑א וְעָרֶ֙יהָ֙ לְשַׁמָּ֣ה תִֽהְיֶ֔ינָה מֵאֵ֥ין יוֹשֵׁ֖ב בָּהֵֽן׃ Give wings unto Moab, that it may flee and get away: for the cities thereof shall be desolate, without any to dwell therein. |
| 10 | επικαταρατος ο ποιων τα εργα κυριου αμελως εξαιρων μαχαιραν αυτου αφ αιματος ָר֗וּר עֹשֶׂ֛ה מְלֶ֥אכֶת יְהוָ֖ה רְמִיָּ֑ה וְאָר֕וּר מֹנֵ֥עַ חַרְבּ֖וֹ מִדָּֽם׃ Cursed be he that does the work of the LORD deceitfully, and cursed be he that keeps back his sword from blood. |
| 11 | ανεπαυσατο μωαβ εκ παιδαριου και πεποιθως ην επι τη δοξη αυτου ουκ ενεχεεν εξ αγγειου εις αγγειον και εις αποικισμον ουκ ωχετο δια τουτο εστη γευμα αυτου εν αυτω και οσμη αυτου ουκ εξελιπεν ַׁאֲנַ֨ן מוֹאָ֜ב מִנְּעוּרָ֗יו וְשֹׁקֵ֥ט הוּא֙ אֶל־שְׁמָרָ֔יו וְלֹֽא־הוּרַ֤ק מִכְּלִי֙ אֶל־כֶּ֔לִי וּבַגּוֹלָ֖ה לֹ֣א הָלָ֑ךְ עַל־כֵּ֗ן עָמַ֤ד טַעְמוֹ֙ בּ֔וֹ וְרֵיח֖וֹ לֹ֥א נָמָֽר׃ ס Moab has been at ease from his youth, and he has settled on his sediments of wine, and has not been emptied from vessel to vessel, neither has he gone into captivity: therefore his taste remained in him, and his scent is not changed. |
| 12 | δια τουτο ιδου ημεραι ερχονται φησιν κυριος και αποστελω αυτω κλινοντας και κλινουσιν αυτον και τα σκευη αυτου λεπτυνουσιν και τα κερατα αυτου συγκοψουσιν ָכֵ֞ן הִנֵּ֖ה־יָמִ֤ים בָּאִים֙ נְאֻם־יְהוָ֔ה וְשִׁלַּחְתִּי־ל֥וֹ צֹעִ֖ים וְצֵעֻ֑הוּ וְכֵלָ֣יו יָרִ֔יקוּ וְנִבְלֵיהֶ֖ם יְנַפֵּֽצוּ׃ Therefore, behold, the days come, says the LORD, that I will send unto him wanderers, that shall cause him to wander, and shall empty his vessels, and break their bottles. |
| 13 | και καταισχυνθησεται μωαβ απο χαμως ωσπερ κατησχυνθη οικος ισραηλ απο βαιθηλ ελπιδος αυτων πεποιθοτες επ αυτοις ּבֹ֥שׁ מוֹאָ֖ב מִכְּמ֑וֹשׁ כַּאֲשֶׁר־בֹּ֙שׁוּ֙ בֵּ֣ית יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל מִבֵּ֥ית אֵ֖ל מִבְטֶחָֽם׃ And Moab shall be ashamed of Chemosh, as the house of Israel was ashamed of Bethel their confidence. |
| 14 | πως ερειτε ισχυροι εσμεν και ανθρωπος ισχυων εις τα πολεμικα ֵ֚יךְ תֹּֽאמְר֔וּ גִּבּוֹרִ֖ים אֲנָ֑חְנוּ וְאַנְשֵׁי־חַ֖יִל לַמִּלְחָמָֽה׃ How say all of you, We are mighty and strong men for the war? |
| 15 | ωλετο μωαβ πολις αυτου και εκλεκτοι νεανισκοι αυτου κατεβησαν εις σφαγην ֻׁדַּ֤ד מוֹאָב֙ וְעָרֶ֣יהָ עָלָ֔ה וּמִבְחַ֥ר בַּֽחוּרָ֖יו יָרְד֣וּ לַטָּ֑בַח נְאֻ֨ם־הַמֶּ֔לֶךְ יְהוָ֥ה צְבָא֖וֹת שְׁמֽוֹ׃ Moab is spoiled, and gone up out of her cities, and his chosen young men are gone down to the slaughter, says the King, whose name is the LORD of hosts. |
| 16 | εγγυς ημερα μωαβ ελθειν και πονηρια αυτου ταχεια σφοδρα ָר֥וֹב אֵיד־מוֹאָ֖ב לָב֑וֹא וְרָ֣עָת֔וֹ מִהֲרָ֖ה מְאֹֽד׃ The calamity of Moab is near to come, and his affliction hastes fast. |
| 17 | κινησατε αυτω παντες κυκλοθεν αυτου παντες ειδοτες ονομα αυτου ειπατε πως συνετριβη βακτηρια ευκλεης ραβδος μεγαλωματος ֻ֤דוּ לוֹ֙ כָּל־סְבִיבָ֔יו וְכֹ֖ל יֹדְעֵ֣י שְׁמ֑וֹ אִמְר֗וּ אֵיכָ֤ה נִשְׁבַּר֙ מַטֵּה־עֹ֔ז מַקֵּ֖ל תִּפְאָרָֽה׃ All you that are about him, lament for him; and all you that know his name, say, How is the strong staff broken, and the beautiful rod! |
| 18 | καταβηθι απο δοξης και καθισον εν υγρασια καθημενη δαιβων εκτριβητε οτι ωλετο μωαβ ανεβη εις σε λυμαινομενος οχυρωμα σου ְדִ֤י מִכָּבוֹד֙ *ישבי **וּשְׁבִ֣י בַצָּמָ֔א יֹשֶׁ֖בֶת בַּת־דִּיב֑וֹן כִּֽי־שֹׁדֵ֤ד מוֹאָב֙ עָ֣לָה בָ֔ךְ שִׁחֵ֖ת מִבְצָרָֽיִךְ׃ You daughter that do inhabit Dibon, come down from your glory, and sit in thirst; for the spoiler of Moab shall come upon you, and he shall destroy your strong holds. |
| 19 | εφ οδου στηθι και επιδε καθημενη εν αροηρ και ερωτησον φευγοντα και σωζομενον και ειπον τι εγενετο ֶל־דֶּ֛רֶךְ עִמְדִ֥י וְצַפִּ֖י יוֹשֶׁ֣בֶת עֲרוֹעֵ֑ר שַׁאֲלִי־נָ֣ס וְנִמְלָ֔טָה אִמְרִ֖י מַה־נִּֽהְיָֽתָה׃ O inhabitant of Aroer, stand by the way, and monitor; ask him that flees, and her that escapes, and say, What is done? |
| 20 | κατησχυνθη μωαβ οτι συνετριβη ολολυξον και κεκραξον αναγγειλον εν αρνων οτι ωλετο μωαβ ֹבִ֥ישׁ מוֹאָ֛ב כִּֽי־חַ֖תָּה *הילילי **הֵילִ֣ילוּ ׀ *וזעקי **וּֽזְעָ֑קוּ הַגִּ֣ידוּ בְאַרְנ֔וֹן כִּ֥י שֻׁדַּ֖ד מוֹאָֽב׃ Moab is confounded; for it is broken down: wail and cry; tell all of you it in Arnon, that Moab is spoiled, |
| 21 | και κρισις ερχεται εις γην του μισωρ επι χαιλων και επι ιασσα και επι μωφαθ ּמִשְׁפָּ֥ט בָּ֖א אֶל־אֶ֣רֶץ הַמִּישֹׁ֑ר אֶל־חֹל֥וֹן וְאֶל־יַ֖הְצָה וְעַל־*מופעת **מֵיפָֽעַת׃ And judgment has come upon the plain country; upon Holon, and upon Jahazah, and upon Mephaath, |
| 22 | και επι δαιβων και επι ναβαυ και επ οικον δεβλαθαιμ ְעַל־דִּיב֣וֹן וְעַל־נְב֔וֹ וְעַל־בֵּ֖ית דִּבְלָתָֽיִם׃ And upon Dibon, and upon Nebo, and upon Bethdiblathaim, |
| 23 | και επι καριαθαιμ και επ οικον γαμωλ και επ οικον μαων ְעַ֧ל קִרְיָתַ֛יִם וְעַל־בֵּ֥ית גָּמ֖וּל וְעַל־בֵּ֥ית מְעֽוֹן׃ And upon Kiriathaim, and upon Bethgamul, and upon Bethmeon, |
| 24 | και επι καριωθ και επι βοσορ και επι πασας τας πολεις μωαβ τας πορρω και τας εγγυς ְעַל־קְרִיּ֖וֹת וְעַל־בָּצְרָ֑ה וְעַ֗ל כָּל־עָרֵי֙ אֶ֣רֶץ מוֹאָ֔ב הָרְחֹק֖וֹת וְהַקְּרֹבֽוֹת׃ And upon Kerioth, and upon Bozrah, and upon all the cities of the land of Moab, far or near. |
| 25 | κατεαχθη κερας μωαβ και το επιχειρον αυτου συνετριβη ִגְדְּעָה֙ קֶ֣רֶן מוֹאָ֔ב וּזְרֹע֖וֹ נִשְׁבָּ֑רָה נְאֻ֖ם יְהוָֽה׃ The horn of Moab is cut off, and his arm is broken, says the LORD. |
| 26 | μεθυσατε αυτον οτι επι κυριον εμεγαλυνθη και επικρουσει μωαβ εν χειρι αυτου και εσται εις γελωτα και αυτος ַשְׁכִּירֻ֕הוּ כִּ֥י עַל־יְהוָ֖ה הִגְדִּ֑יל וְסָפַ֤ק מוֹאָב֙ בְּקִיא֔וֹ וְהָיָ֥ה לִשְׂחֹ֖ק גַּם־הֽוּא׃ Make all of you him drunken: for he magnified himself against the LORD: Moab also shall wallow in his vomit, and he also shall be in derision. |
| 27 | και ει μη εις γελοιασμον ην σοι ισραηλ ει εν κλοπαις σου ευρεθη οτι επολεμεις αυτον ְאִ֣ם ׀ ל֣וֹא הַשְּׂחֹ֗ק הָיָ֤ה לְךָ֙ יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל אִם־בְּגַנָּבִ֖ים *נמצאה **נִמְצָ֑א כִּֽי־מִדֵּ֧י דְבָרֶ֛יךָ בּ֖וֹ תִּתְנוֹדָֽד׃ For was not Israel a derision unto you? was he found among thieves? for since you spoke of him, you skipped for joy. |
| 28 | κατελιπον τας πολεις και ωκησαν εν πετραις οι κατοικουντες μωαβ εγενηθησαν ως περιστεραι νοσσευουσαι εν πετραις στοματι βοθυνου ִזְב֤וּ עָרִים֙ וְשִׁכְנ֣וּ בַּסֶּ֔לַע יֹשְׁבֵ֖י מוֹאָ֑ב וִֽהְי֣וּ כְיוֹנָ֔ה תְּקַנֵּ֖ן בְּעֶבְרֵ֥י פִי־פָֽחַת׃ O all of you that dwell in Moab, leave the cities, and dwell in the rock, and be like the dove that makes her nest in the sides of the hole's mouth. |
| 29 | ηκουσα υβριν μωαβ υβρισεν λιαν υβριν αυτου και υπερηφανιαν αυτου και υψωθη η καρδια αυτου ָׁמַ֥עְנוּ גְאוֹן־מוֹאָ֖ב גֵּאֶ֣ה מְאֹ֑ד גָּבְה֧וֹ וּגְאוֹנ֛וֹ וְגַאֲוָת֖וֹ וְרֻ֥ם לִבּֽוֹ׃ We have heard the pride of Moab, (he is exceeding proud) his loftiness, and his arrogancy, and his pride, and the haughtiness of his heart. |
| 30 | εγω δε εγνων εργα αυτου ουχι το ικανον αυτου ουχ ουτως εποιησεν ֲנִ֤י יָדַ֙עְתִּי֙ נְאֻם־יְהוָ֔ה עֶבְרָת֖וֹ וְלֹא־כֵ֑ן בַּדָּ֖יו לֹא־כֵ֥ן עָשֽׂוּ׃ I know his wrath, says the LORD; but it shall not be so; his lies shall not so effect it. |
| 31 | δια τουτο επι μωαβ ολολυζετε παντοθεν βοησατε επ ανδρας κιραδας αυχμου ַל־כֵּן֙ עַל־מוֹאָ֣ב אֲיֵלִ֔יל וּלְמוֹאָ֥ב כֻּלֹּ֖ה אֶזְעָ֑ק אֶל־אַנְשֵׁ֥י קִֽיר־חֶ֖רֶשׂ יֶהְגֶּֽה׃ Therefore will I wail for Moab, and I will cry out for all Moab; mine heart shall mourn for the men of Kirheres. |
| 32 | ως κλαυθμον ιαζηρ αποκλαυσομαι σοι αμπελος σεβημα κληματα σου διηλθεν θαλασσαν ιαζηρ ηψαντο επι οπωραν σου επι τρυγηταις σου ολεθρος επεπεσεν ִבְּכִ֨י יַעְזֵ֤ר אֶבְכֶּה־לָּךְ֙ הַגֶּ֣פֶן שִׂבְמָ֔ה נְטִֽישֹׁתַ֙יִךְ֙ עָ֣בְרוּ יָ֔ם עַ֛ד יָ֥ם יַעְזֵ֖ר נָגָ֑עוּ עַל־קֵיצֵ֥ךְ וְעַל־בְּצִירֵ֖ךְ שֹׁדֵ֥ד נָפָֽל׃ O vine of Sibmah, I will weep for you with the weeping of Jazer: your plants are gone over the sea, they reach even to the sea of Jazer: the spoiler is fallen upon your summer fruits and upon your vintage. |
| 33 | συνεψησθη χαρμοσυνη και ευφροσυνη εκ της μωαβιτιδος και οινος ην επι ληνοις σου πρωι ουκ επατησαν ουδε δειλης ουκ εποιησαν αιδαδ ְנֶאֶסְפָ֨ה שִׂמְחָ֥ה וָגִ֛יל מִכַּרְמֶ֖ל וּמֵאֶ֣רֶץ מוֹאָ֑ב וְיַ֙יִן֙ מִיקָבִ֣ים הִשְׁבַּ֔תִּי לֹֽא־יִדְרֹ֣ךְ הֵידָ֔ד הֵידָ֖ד לֹ֥א הֵידָֽד׃ And joy and gladness is taken from the plentiful field, and from the land of Moab, and I have caused wine to fail from the winepresses: none shall tread with shouting; their shouting shall be no shouting. |
| 34 | απο κραυγης εσεβων εως ελεαλη αι πολεις αυτων εδωκαν φωνην αυτων απο ζογορ εως ωρωναιμ και αγλαθσαλισια οτι και το υδωρ νεβριμ εις κατακαυμα εσται ִזַּעֲקַ֨ת חֶשְׁבּ֜וֹן עַד־אֶלְעָלֵ֗ה עַד־יַ֙הַץ֙ נָתְנ֣וּ קוֹלָ֔ם מִצֹּ֙עַר֙ עַד־חֹ֣רֹנַ֔יִם עֶגְלַ֖ת שְׁלִֽשִׁיָּ֑ה כִּ֚י גַּם־מֵ֣י נִמְרִ֔ים לִמְשַׁמּ֖וֹת יִהְיֽוּ׃ From the cry of Heshbon even unto Elealeh, and even unto Jahaz, have they uttered their voice, from Zoar even unto Horonaim, as an heifer of three years old: for the waters also of Nimrim shall be desolate. |
| 35 | και απολω τον μωαβ φησιν κυριος αναβαινοντα επι βωμον και θυμιωντα θεοις αυτου ְהִשְׁבַּתִּ֥י לְמוֹאָ֖ב נְאֻם־יְהוָ֑ה מַעֲלֶ֣ה בָמָ֔ה וּמַקְטִ֖יר לֵאלֹהָֽיו׃ Moreover I will cause to cease in Moab, says the LORD, him that offers in the high places, and him that burns incense to his gods. |
| 36 | δια τουτο καρδια μου μωαβ ωσπερ αυλοι βομβησουσιν καρδια μου επ ανθρωπους κιραδας ωσπερ αυλος βομβησει δια τουτο α περιεποιησατο απωλετο απο ανθρωπου ַל־כֵּ֞ן לִבִּ֤י לְמוֹאָב֙ כַּחֲלִלִ֣ים יֶהֱמֶ֔ה וְלִבִּי֙ אֶל־אַנְשֵׁ֣י קִֽיר־חֶ֔רֶשׂ כַּחֲלִילִ֖ים יֶהֱמֶ֑ה עַל־כֵּ֛ן יִתְרַ֥ת עָשָׂ֖ה אָבָֽדוּ׃ Therefore mine heart shall sound for Moab like pipes, and mine heart shall sound like pipes for the men of Kirheres: because the riches that he has got are perished. |
| 37 | πασαν κεφαλην εν παντι τοπω ξυρησονται και πας πωγων ξυρηθησεται και πασαι χειρες κοψονται και επι πασης οσφυος σακκος ִּ֤י כָל־רֹאשׁ֙ קָרְחָ֔ה וְכָל־זָקָ֖ן גְּרֻעָ֑ה עַ֤ל כָּל־יָדַ֙יִם֙ גְּדֻדֹ֔ת וְעַל־מָתְנַ֖יִם שָֽׂק׃ For every head shall be bald, and every beard clipped: upon all the hands shall be cuttings, and upon the loins sackcloth. |
| 38 | και επι παντων των δωματων μωαβ και επι πλατειαις αυτης οτι συνετριψα τον μωαβ φησιν κυριος ως αγγειον ου ουκ εστιν χρεια αυτου ַ֣ל כָּל־גַּגּ֥וֹת מוֹאָ֛ב וּבִרְחֹבֹתֶ֖יהָ כֻּלֹּ֣ה מִסְפֵּ֑ד כִּֽי־שָׁבַ֣רְתִּי אֶת־מוֹאָ֗ב כִּכְלִ֛י אֵֽין־חֵ֥פֶץ בּ֖וֹ נְאֻם־יְהוָֽה׃ There shall be lamentation generally upon all the housetops of Moab, and in the streets thereof: for I have broken Moab like a vessel wherein is no pleasure, says the LORD. |
| 39 | πως κατηλλαξεν πως εστρεψεν νωτον μωαβ ησχυνθη και εγενετο μωαβ εις γελωτα και εγκοτημα πασιν τοις κυκλω αυτης ֵ֥יךְ חַ֙תָּה֙ הֵילִ֔ילוּ אֵ֛יךְ הִפְנָה־עֹ֥רֶף מוֹאָ֖ב בּ֑וֹשׁ וְהָיָ֥ה מוֹאָ֛ב לִשְׂחֹ֥ק וְלִמְחִתָּ֖ה לְכָל־סְבִיבָֽיו׃ ס They shall wail, saying, How is it broken down! how has Moab turned the back with shame! so shall Moab be a derision and a dismaying to all them about him. |
| 40 | οτι ουτως ειπεν κυριος ִּי־כֹה֙ אָמַ֣ר יְהוָ֔ה הִנֵּ֥ה כַנֶּ֖שֶׁר יִדְאֶ֑ה וּפָרַ֥שׂ כְּנָפָ֖יו אֶל־מוֹאָֽב׃ For thus says the LORD; Behold, he shall fly as an eagle, and shall spread his wings over Moab. |
| 41 | ελημφθη ακκαριωθ και τα οχυρωματα συνελημφθη ִלְכְּדָה֙ הַקְּרִיּ֔וֹת וְהַמְּצָד֖וֹת נִתְפָּ֑שָׂה וְֽ֠הָיָה לֵ֞ב גִּבּוֹרֵ֤י מוֹאָב֙ בַּיּ֣וֹם הַה֔וּא כְּלֵ֖ב אִשָּׁ֥ה מְצֵרָֽה׃ Kerioth is taken, and the strong holds are surprised, and the mighty men's hearts in Moab at that day shall be as the heart of a woman in her pangs. |
| 42 | και απολειται μωαβ απο οχλου οτι επι τον κυριον εμεγαλυνθη ְנִשְׁמַ֥ד מוֹאָ֖ב מֵעָ֑ם כִּ֥י עַל־יְהוָ֖ה הִגְדִּֽיל׃ And Moab shall be destroyed from being a people, because he has magnified himself against the LORD. |
| 43 | παγις και φοβος και βοθυνος επι σοι καθημενος μωαβ ַּ֥חַד וָפַ֖חַת וָפָ֑ח עָלֶ֛יךָ יוֹשֵׁ֥ב מוֹאָ֖ב נְאֻם־יְהוָֽה׃ Fear, and the pit, and the snare, shall be upon you, O inhabitant of Moab, says the LORD. |
| 44 | ο φευγων απο προσωπου του φοβου εμπεσειται εις τον βοθυνον και ο αναβαινων εκ του βοθυνου συλλημφθησεται εν τη παγιδι οτι επαξω ταυτα επι μωαβ εν ενιαυτω επισκεψεως αυτης ?ניס **הַנָּ֞ס מִפְּנֵ֤י הַפַּ֙חַד֙ יִפֹּ֣ל אֶל־הַפַּ֔חַת וְהָֽעֹלֶה֙ מִן־הַפַּ֔חַת יִלָּכֵ֖ד בַּפָּ֑ח כִּֽי־אָבִ֨יא אֵלֶ֧יהָ אֶל־מוֹאָ֛ב שְׁנַ֥ת פְּקֻדָּתָ֖ם נְאֻם־יְהוָֽה׃ He that flees from the fear shall fall into the pit; and he that gets up out of the pit shall be taken in the snare: for I will bring upon it, even upon Moab, the year of their visitation, says the LORD. |
| 45 | ְּצֵ֥ל חֶשְׁבּ֛וֹן עָמְד֖וּ מִכֹּ֣חַ נָסִ֑ים כִּֽי־אֵ֞שׁ יָצָ֣א מֵחֶשְׁבּ֗וֹן וְלֶֽהָבָה֙ מִבֵּ֣ין סִיח֔וֹן וַתֹּ֙אכַל֙ פְּאַ֣ת מוֹאָ֔ב וְקָדְקֹ֖ד בְּנֵ֥י שָׁאֽוֹן׃ They that fled stood under the shadow of Heshbon because of the force: but a fire shall come forth out of Heshbon, and a flame from the midst of Sihon, and shall devour the corner of Moab, and the crown of the head of the tumultuous ones. |
| 46 | וֹי־לְךָ֣ מוֹאָ֔ב אָבַ֖ד עַם־כְּמ֑וֹשׁ כִּֽי־לֻקְּח֤וּ בָנֶ֙יךָ֙ בַּשֶּׁ֔בִי וּבְנֹתֶ֖יךָ בַּשִּׁבְיָֽה׃ Woe be unto you, O Moab! the people of Chemosh perishes: for your sons are taken captives, and your daughters captives. |
| 47 | ְשַׁבְתִּ֧י שְׁבוּת־מוֹאָ֛ב בְּאַחֲרִ֥ית הַיָּמִ֖ים נְאֻם־יְהוָ֑ה עַד־הֵ֖נָּה מִשְׁפַּ֥ט מוֹאָֽב׃ ס Yet will I bring again the captivity of Moab in the latter days, says the LORD. Thus far is the judgment of Moab. |
