Ministering Before the Ark
και εισηνεγκαν την κιβωτον του θεου και απηρεισαντο αυτην εν μεσω της σκηνης ης επηξεν αυτη δαυιδ και προσηνεγκαν ολοκαυτωματα και σωτηριου εναντιον του θεου
ַיָּבִ֙יאוּ֙ אֶת־אֲר֣וֹן הֽ͏ָאֱלֹהִ֔ים וַיַּצִּ֣יגוּ אֹת֔וֹ בְּת֣וֹךְ הָאֹ֔הֶל אֲשֶׁ֥ר נָֽטָה־ל֖וֹ דָּוִ֑יד וַיַּקְרִ֛יבוּ עֹל֥וֹת וּשְׁלָמִ֖ים לִפְנֵ֥י הָאֱלֹהִֽים׃
So they brought the ark of God, and set it in the midst of the tent that David had pitched for it: and they offered burnt sacrifices and peace offerings before God.
2 και συνετελεσεν δαυιδ αναφερων ολοκαυτωματα και σωτηριου και ευλογησεν τον λαον εν ονοματι κυριου
ַיְכַ֣ל דָּוִ֔יד מֵהַעֲל֥וֹת הָעֹלָ֖ה וְהַשְּׁלָמִ֑ים וַיְבָ֥רֶךְ אֶת־הָעָ֖ם בְּשֵׁ֥ם יְהוָֽה׃
And when David had made an end of offering the burnt offerings and the peace offerings, he blessed the people in the name of the LORD.
3 και διεμερισεν παντι ανδρι ισραηλ απο ανδρος και εως γυναικος τω ανδρι αρτον ενα αρτοκοπικον και αμοριτην
ַיְחַלֵּק֙ לְכָל־אִ֣ישׁ יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל מֵאִ֖ישׁ וְעַד־אִשָּׁ֑ה לְאִישׁ֙ כִּכַּר־לֶ֔חֶם וְאֶשְׁפָּ֖ר וַאֲשִׁישָֽׁה׃
And he dealt to every one of Israel, both man and woman, to every one a loaf of bread, and a good piece of flesh, and a flagon of wine.
4 και εταξεν κατα προσωπον της κιβωτου διαθηκης κυριου εκ των λευιτων λειτουργουντας αναφωνουντας και εξομολογεισθαι και αινειν κυριον τον θεον ισραηλ
ַיִּתֵּ֞ן לִפְנֵ֨י אֲר֧וֹן יְהוָ֛ה מִן־הַלְוִיִּ֖ם מְשָׁרְתִ֑ים וּלְהַזְכִּיר֙ וּלְהוֹד֣וֹת וּלְהַלֵּ֔ל לַיהוָ֖ה אֱלֹהֵ֥י יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃ פ
And he appointed certain of the Levites to minister before the ark of the LORD, and to record, and to thank and praise the LORD God of Israel:
5 ασαφ ο ηγουμενος και δευτερευων αυτω ζαχαριας ιιηλ σεμιραμωθ ιιηλ ματταθιας ελιαβ και βαναιας και αβδεδομ και ιιηλ εν οργανοις ναβλαις και κινυραις και ασαφ εν κυμβαλοις αναφωνων
ָסָ֥ף הָרֹ֖אשׁ וּמִשְׁנֵ֣הוּ זְכַרְיָ֑ה יְעִיאֵ֡ל וּשְׁמִֽירָמ֡וֹת וִֽיחִיאֵ֡ל וּמַתִּתְיָ֡ה וֶאֱלִיאָ֡ב וּבְנָיָהוּ֩ וְעֹבֵ֨ד אֱדֹ֜ם וֽ͏ִיעִיאֵ֗ל בִּכְלֵ֤י נְבָלִים֙ וּבְכִנֹּר֔וֹת וְאָסָ֖ף בַּֽמְצִלְתַּ֥יִם מַשְׁמִֽיעַ׃
Asaph the chief, and next to him Zechariah, Jeiel, and Shemiramoth, and Jehiel, and Mattithiah, and Eliab, and Benaiah, and Obededom: and Jeiel with psalteries and with harps; but Asaph made a sound with cymbals;
6 και βαναιας και οζιηλ οι ιερεις εν ταις σαλπιγξιν δια παντος εναντιον της κιβωτου της διαθηκης του θεου
ּבְנָיָ֥הוּ וְיַחֲזִיאֵ֖ל הַכֹּהֲנִ֑ים בַּחֲצֹצְר֣וֹת תָּמִ֔יד לִפְנֵ֖י אֲר֥וֹן בְּרִית־הָאֱלֹהִֽים׃
Benaiah also and Jahaziel the priests with trumpets continually before the ark of the covenant of God.
7 εν τη ημερα εκεινη τοτε εταξεν δαυιδ εν αρχη του αινειν τον κυριον εν χειρι ασαφ και των αδελφων αυτου
ַּיּ֣וֹם הַה֗וּא אָ֣ז נָתַ֤ן דָּוִיד֙ בָּרֹ֔אשׁ לְהֹד֖וֹת לַיהוָ֑ה בְּיַד־אָסָ֖ף וְאֶחָֽיו׃ פ
Then on that day David delivered first this psalm to thank the LORD into the hand of Asaph and his brethren.
8 εξομολογεισθε τω κυριω επικαλεισθε αυτον εν ονοματι αυτου γνωρισατε εν λαοις τα επιτηδευματα αυτου
וֹד֤וּ לַֽיהוָה֙ קִרְא֣וּ בִשְׁמ֔וֹ הוֹדִ֥יעוּ בָעַמִּ֖ים עֲלִילֹתָֽיו׃
Give thanks unto the LORD, call upon his name, make known his deeds among the people.
9 ασατε αυτω και υμνησατε αυτω διηγησασθε πασιν τα θαυμασια αυτου α εποιησεν κυριος
ִׁ֤ירוּ לוֹ֙ זַמְּרוּ־ל֔וֹ שִׂ֖יחוּ בְּכָל־נִפְלְאֹתָֽיו׃
Sing unto him, sing psalms unto him, talk all of you of all his wondrous works.
10 αινειτε εν ονοματι αγιω αυτου ευφρανθησεται καρδια ζητουσα την ευδοκιαν αυτου
ִֽתְהֽ͏ַלְלוּ֙ בְּשֵׁ֣ם קָדְשׁ֔וֹ יִשְׂמַ֕ח לֵ֖ב מְבַקְשֵׁ֥י יְהוָֽה׃
Glory all of you in his holy name: let the heart of them rejoice that seek the LORD.
11 ζητησατε τον κυριον και ισχυσατε ζητησατε το προσωπον αυτου δια παντος
ִּרְשׁ֤וּ יְהוָה֙ וְעֻזּ֔וֹ בַּקְּשׁ֥וּ פָנָ֖יו תָּמִֽיד׃
Seek the LORD and his strength, seek his face continually.
12 μνημονευετε τα θαυμασια αυτου α εποιησεν τερατα και κριματα του στοματος αυτου
ִכְר֗וּ נִפְלְאֹתָיו֙ אֲשֶׁ֣ר עָשָׂ֔ה מֹפְתָ֖יו וּמִשְׁפְּטֵי־פִֽיהוּ׃
Remember his marvellous works that he has done, his wonders, and the judgments of his mouth;
13 σπερμα ισραηλ παιδες αυτου υιοι ιακωβ εκλεκτοι αυτου
ֶ֚רַע יִשְׂרָאֵ֣ל עַבְדּ֔וֹ בְּנֵ֥י יַעֲקֹ֖ב בְּחִירָֽיו׃
O all of you seed of Israel his servant, all of you children of Jacob, his chosen ones.
14 αυτος κυριος ο θεος ημων εν παση τη γη τα κριματα αυτου
֚וּא יְהוָ֣ה אֱלֹהֵ֔ינוּ בְּכָל־הָאָ֖רֶץ מִשְׁפָּטָֽיו׃
He is the LORD our God; his judgments are in all the earth.
15 μνημονευων εις αιωνα διαθηκης αυτου λογον αυτου ον ενετειλατο εις χιλιας γενεας
ִכְר֤וּ לְעוֹלָם֙ בְּרִית֔וֹ דָּבָ֥ר צִוָּ֖ה לְאֶ֥לֶף דּֽוֹר׃
Be all of you mindful always of his covenant; the word which he commanded to a thousand generations;
16 ον διεθετο τω αβρααμ και τον ορκον αυτου τω ισαακ
ֲשֶׁ֤ר כָּרַת֙ אֶת־אַבְרָהָ֔ם וּשְׁבוּעָת֖וֹ לְיִצְחָֽק׃
Even of the covenant which he made with Abraham, and of his oath unto Isaac;
17 εστησεν αυτον τω ιακωβ εις προσταγμα τω ισραηλ διαθηκην αιωνιον
ַיַּעֲמִידֶ֤הָ לְיַעֲקֹב֙ לְחֹ֔ק לְיִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל בְּרִ֥ית עוֹלָֽם׃
And has confirmed the same to Jacob for a law, and to Israel for an everlasting covenant,
18 λεγων σοι δωσω την γην χανααν σχοινισμα κληρονομιας υμων
ֵאמֹ֗ר לְךָ֙ אֶתֵּ֣ן אֶֽרֶץ־כְּנָ֔עַן חֶ֖בֶל נַחֲלַתְכֶֽם׃
Saying, Unto you will I give the land of Canaan, the lot of your inheritance;
19 εν τω γενεσθαι αυτους ολιγοστους αριθμω ως εσμικρυνθησαν και παρωκησαν εν αυτη
ִּֽהְיֽוֹתְכֶם֙ מְתֵ֣י מִסְפָּ֔ר כִּמְעַ֖ט וְגָרִ֥ים בָּֽהּ׃
When all of you were but few, even a few, and strangers in it.
20 και επορευθησαν απο εθνους εις εθνος και απο βασιλειας εις λαον ετερον
ַיִּֽתְהַלְּכוּ֙ מִגּ֣וֹי אֶל־גּ֔וֹי וּמִמַּמְלָכָ֖ה אֶל־עַ֥ם אַחֵֽר׃
And when they went from nation to nation, and from one kingdom to another people;
21 ουκ αφηκεν ανδρα του δυναστευσαι αυτους και ηλεγξεν περι αυτων βασιλεις
ֹא־הִנִּ֤יחַ לְאִישׁ֙ לְעָשְׁקָ֔ם וַיּ֥וֹכַח עֲלֵיהֶ֖ם מְלָכִֽים׃
He suffered no man to do them wrong: yea, he reproved kings for their sakes,
22 μη αψησθε των χριστων μου και εν τοις προφηταις μου μη πονηρευεσθε
ַֽל־תִּגְּעוּ֙ בִּמְשִׁיחָ֔י וּבִנְבִיאַ֖י אַל־תָּרֵֽעוּ׃ פ
Saying, Touch not mine anointed, and do my prophets no harm.
23 ασατε τω κυριω πασα η γη αναγγειλατε εξ ημερας εις ημεραν σωτηριαν αυτου
ִׁ֤ירוּ לַֽיהוָה֙ כָּל־הָאָ֔רֶץ בַּשְּׂר֥וּ מִיּֽוֹם־אֶל־י֖וֹם יְשׁוּעָתֽוֹ׃
Sing unto the LORD, all the earth; show forth from day to day his salvation.
24
ַפְּר֤וּ בַגּוֹיִם֙ אֶת־כְּבוֹד֔וֹ בְּכָל־הָעַמִּ֖ים נִפְלְאֹתָֽיו׃
Declare his glory among the heathen; his marvellous works among all nations.
25 οτι μεγας κυριος και αινετος σφοδρα φοβερος εστιν επι παντας τους θεους
ִּי֩ גָד֨וֹל יְהוָ֤ה וּמְהֻלָּל֙ מְאֹ֔ד וְנוֹרָ֥א ה֖וּא עַל־כָּל־אֱלֹהִֽים׃
For great is the LORD, and greatly to be praised: he also is to be feared above all gods.
26 οτι παντες οι θεοι των εθνων ειδωλα και ο θεος ημων ουρανον εποιησεν
ִּ֠י כָּל־אֱלֹהֵ֤י הָעַמִּים֙ אֱלִילִ֔ים וַיהוָ֖ה שָׁמַ֥יִם עָשָֽׂה׃
For all the gods of the people are idols: but the LORD made the heavens.
27 δοξα και επαινος κατα προσωπον αυτου ισχυς και καυχημα εν τοπω αυτου
֤וֹד וְהָדָר֙ לְפָנָ֔יו עֹ֥ז וְחֶדְוָ֖ה בִּמְקֹמֽוֹ׃
Glory and honour are in his presence; strength and gladness are in his place.
28 δοτε τω κυριω πατριαι των εθνων δοτε τω κυριω δοξαν και ισχυν
ָב֤וּ לַֽיהוָה֙ מִשְׁפְּח֣וֹת עַמִּ֔ים הָב֥וּ לַיהוָ֖ה כָּב֥וֹד וָעֹֽז׃
Give unto the LORD, all of you families of the people, give unto the LORD glory and strength.
29 δοτε τω κυριω δοξαν ονοματος αυτου λαβετε δωρα και ενεγκατε κατα προσωπον αυτου και προσκυνησατε τω κυριω εν αυλαις αγιαις αυτου
ָב֥וּ לַיהוָ֖ה כְּב֣וֹד שְׁמ֑וֹ שְׂא֤וּ מִנְחָה֙ וּבֹ֣אוּ לְפָנָ֔יו הִשְׁתַּחֲו֥וּ לַיהוָ֖ה בְּהַדְרַת־קֹֽדֶשׁ׃
Give unto the LORD the glory due unto his name: bring an offering, and come before him: worship the LORD in the beauty of holiness.
30 φοβηθητω απο προσωπου αυτου πασα η γη κατορθωθητω η γη και μη σαλευθητω
ִ֤ילוּ מִלְּפָנָיו֙ כָּל־הָאָ֔רֶץ אַף־תִּכּ֥וֹן תֵּבֵ֖ל בַּל־תִּמּֽוֹט׃
Fear before him, all the earth: the world also shall be stable, that it be not moved.
31 ευφρανθητω ο ουρανος και αγαλλιασθω η γη και ειπατωσαν εν τοις εθνεσιν κυριος βασιλευων
ִשְׂמְח֤וּ הַשָּׁמַ֙יִם֙ וְתָגֵ֣ל הָאָ֔רֶץ וְיֹאמְר֥וּ בַגּוֹיִ֖ם יְהוָ֥ה מָלָֽךְ׃
Let the heavens be glad, and let the earth rejoice: and let men say among the nations, The LORD reigns.
32 βομβησει η θαλασσα συν τω πληρωματι και ξυλον αγρου και παντα τα εν αυτω
ִרְעַ֤ם הַיָּם֙ וּמְלוֹא֔וֹ יַעֲלֹ֥ץ הַשָּׂדֶ֖ה וְכָל־אֲשֶׁר־בּֽוֹ׃
Let the sea roar, and the fullness thereof: let the fields rejoice, and all that is therein.
33 τοτε ευφρανθησεται τα ξυλα του δρυμου απο προσωπου κυριου οτι ηλθεν κριναι την γην
ָ֥ז יְרַנְּנ֖וּ עֲצֵ֣י הַיָּ֑עַר מִלִּפְנֵ֣י יְהוָ֔ה כִּי־בָ֖א לִשְׁפּ֥וֹט אֶת־הָאָֽרֶץ׃
Then shall the trees of the wood sing out at the presence of the LORD, because he comes to judge the earth.
34 εξομολογεισθε τω κυριω οτι αγαθον οτι εις τον αιωνα το ελεος αυτου
וֹד֤וּ לַיהוָה֙ כִּ֣י ט֔וֹב כִּ֥י לְעוֹלָ֖ם חַסְדּֽוֹ׃
O give thanks unto the LORD; for he is good; for his mercy endures for ever.
35 και ειπατε σωσον ημας ο θεος της σωτηριας ημων και εξελου ημας εκ των εθνων του αινειν το ονομα το αγιον σου και καυχασθαι εν ταις αινεσεσιν σου
ְאִמְר֕וּ הוֹשִׁיעֵ֙נוּ֙ אֱלֹהֵ֣י יִשְׁעֵ֔נוּ וְקַבְּצֵ֥נוּ וְהַצִּילֵ֖נוּ מִן־הַגּוֹיִ֑ם לְהֹדוֹת֙ לְשֵׁ֣ם קָדְשֶׁ֔ךָ לְהִשְׁתַּבֵּ֖חַ בִּתְהִלָּתֶֽךָ׃
And say all of you, Save us, O God of our salvation, and gather us together, and deliver us from the heathen, that we may give thanks to your holy name, and glory in your praise.
36 ευλογημενος κυριος ο θεος ισραηλ απο του αιωνος και εως του αιωνος και ερει πας ο λαος αμην και ηνεσαν τω κυριω
ָּר֤וּךְ יְהוָה֙ אֱלֹהֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל מִן־הָעוֹלָ֖ם וְעַ֣ד הָעֹלָ֑ם וַיֹּאמְר֤וּ כָל־הָעָם֙ אָמֵ֔ן וְהַלֵּ֖ל לַֽיהוָֽה׃ פ
Blessed be the LORD God of Israel for ever and ever. And all the people said, Amen, and praised the LORD.
37 και κατελιπον εκει εναντι της κιβωτου διαθηκης κυριου τον ασαφ και τους αδελφους αυτου του λειτουργειν εναντιον της κιβωτου δια παντος το της ημερας εις ημεραν
ַיַּֽעֲזָב־שָׁ֗ם לִפְנֵי֙ אֲר֣וֹן בְּרִית־יְהוָ֔ה לְאָסָ֖ף וּלְאֶחָ֑יו לְשָׁרֵ֞ת לִפְנֵ֧י הָאָר֛וֹן תָּמִ֖יד לִדְבַר־י֥וֹם בְּיוֹמֽוֹ׃
So he left there before the ark of the covenant of the LORD Asaph and his brethren, to minister before the ark continually, as every day's work required:
38 και αβδεδομ και οι αδελφοι αυτου εξηκοντα και οκτω και αβδεδομ υιος ιδιθων και οσσα εις πυλωρους
ְעֹבֵ֥ד אֱדֹ֛ם וַאֲחֵיהֶ֖ם שִׁשִּׁ֣ים וּשְׁמוֹנָ֑ה וְעֹבֵ֨ד אֱדֹ֧ם בֶּן־יְדִית֛וּן וְחֹסָ֖ה לְשֹׁעֲרִֽים׃
And Obededom with their brethren, threescore and eight; Obededom also the son of Jeduthun and Hosah to be porters:
39 και τον σαδωκ τον ιερεα και τους αδελφους αυτου τους ιερεις εναντιον σκηνης κυριου εν βαμα τη εν γαβαων
ְאֵ֣ת ׀ צָד֣וֹק הַכֹּהֵ֗ן וְאֶחָיו֙ הַכֹּ֣הֲנִ֔ים לִפְנֵ֖י מִשְׁכַּ֣ן יְהוָ֑ה בַּבָּמָ֖ה אֲשֶׁ֥ר בְּגִבְעֽוֹן׃
And Zadok the priest, and his brethren the priests, before the tabernacle of the LORD in the high place that was at Gibeon,
40 του αναφερειν ολοκαυτωματα τω κυριω επι του θυσιαστηριου των ολοκαυτωματων δια παντος το πρωι και το εσπερας και κατα παντα τα γεγραμμενα εν νομω κυριου οσα ενετειλατο εφ υιοις ισραηλ εν χειρι μωυση του θεραποντος του θεου
ְֽהַעֲלוֹת֩ עֹל֨וֹת לַיהוָ֜ה עַל־מִזְבַּ֧ח הָעֹלָ֛ה תָּמִ֖יד לַבֹּ֣קֶר וְלָעָ֑רֶב וּלְכָל־הַכָּתוּב֙ בְּתוֹרַ֣ת יְהוָ֔ה אֲשֶׁ֥ר צִוָּ֖ה עַל־יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃
To offer burnt offerings unto the LORD upon the altar of the burnt offering continually morning and evening, and to do according to all that is written in the law of the LORD, which he commanded Israel;
41 και μετ αυτου αιμαν και ιδιθων και οι λοιποι εκλεγεντες επ ονοματος του αινειν τον κυριον οτι εις τον αιωνα το ελεος αυτου
ְעִמָּהֶם֙ הֵימָ֣ן וִֽידוּת֔וּן וּשְׁאָר֙ הַבְּרוּרִ֔ים אֲשֶׁ֥ר נִקְּב֖וּ בְּשֵׁמ֑וֹת לְהֹדוֹת֙ לַֽיהוָ֔ה כִּ֥י לְעוֹלָ֖ם חַסְדּֽוֹ׃
And with them Heman and Jeduthun, and the rest that were chosen, who were expressed by name, to give thanks to the LORD, because his mercy endures for ever;
42 και μετ αυτων σαλπιγγες και κυμβαλα του αναφωνειν και οργανα των ωδων του θεου υιοι ιδιθων εις την πυλην
ְעִמָּהֶם֩ הֵימָ֨ן וִֽידוּת֜וּן חֲצֹצְר֤וֹת וּמְצִלְתַּ֙יִם֙ לְמַשְׁמִיעִ֔ים וּכְלֵ֖י שִׁ֣יר הָאֱלֹהִ֑ים וּבְנֵ֥י יְדוּת֖וּן לַשָּֽׁעַר׃
And with them Heman and Jeduthun with trumpets and cymbals for those that should make a sound, and with musical instruments of God. And the sons of Jeduthun were porters.
43 και επορευθη απας ο λαος εκαστος εις τον οικον αυτου και επεστρεψεν δαυιδ του ευλογησαι τον οικον αυτου
ַיֵּלְכ֥וּ כָל־הָעָ֖ם אִ֣ישׁ לְבֵית֑וֹ וַיִּסֹּ֥ב דָּוִ֖יד לְבָרֵ֥ךְ אֶת־בֵּיתֽוֹ׃ פ
And all the people departed every man to his house: and David returned to bless his house.
