1 ο αγαπων παιδειαν αγαπα αισθησιν ο δε μισων ελεγχους αφρων
ֹהֵ֣ב מ֭וּסָר אֹ֣הֵֽב דָּ֑עַת וְשֹׂנֵ֖א תוֹכַ֣חַת בָּֽעַר׃
Whoso loves instruction loves knowledge: but he that hates reproof is brutish.
2 κρεισσων ο ευρων χαριν παρα κυριω ανηρ δε παρανομος παρασιωπηθησεται
֗וֹב יָפִ֣יק רָ֭צוֹן מֵיְהוָ֑ה וְאִ֖ישׁ מְזִמּ֣וֹת יַרְשִֽׁיעַ׃
A good man obtains favour of the LORD: but a man of wicked devices will he condemn.
3 ου κατορθωσει ανθρωπος εξ ανομου αι δε ριζαι των δικαιων ουκ εξαρθησονται
ֹא־יִכּ֣וֹן אָדָ֣ם בְּרֶ֑שַׁע וְשֹׁ֥רֶשׁ צַ֝דִּיקִ֗ים בַּל־יִמּֽוֹט׃
A man shall not be established by wickedness: but the root of the righteous shall not be moved.
4 γυνη ανδρεια στεφανος τω ανδρι αυτης ωσπερ δε εν ξυλω σκωληξ ουτως ανδρα απολλυσιν γυνη κακοποιος
ֵֽשֶׁת־חַ֭יִל עֲטֶ֣רֶת בַּעְלָ֑הּ וּכְרָקָ֖ב בְּעַצְמוֹתָ֣יו מְבִישָֽׁה׃
A virtuous woman is a crown to her husband: but she that makes ashamed is as rottenness in his bones.
5 λογισμοι δικαιων κριματα κυβερνωσιν δε ασεβεις δολους
ַחְשְׁב֣וֹת צַדִּיקִ֣ים מִשְׁפָּ֑ט תַּחְבֻּל֖וֹת רְשָׁעִ֣ים מִרְמָֽה׃
The thoughts of the righteous are right: but the counsels of the wicked are deceit.
6 λογοι ασεβων δολιοι στομα δε ορθων ρυσεται αυτους
ִּבְרֵ֣י רְשָׁעִ֣ים אֱרָב־דָּ֑ם וּפִ֥י יְ֝שָׁרִ֗ים יַצִּילֵֽם׃
The words of the wicked are to lie in wait for blood: but the mouth of the upright shall deliver them.
7 ου εαν στραφη ασεβης αφανιζεται οικοι δε δικαιων παραμενουσιν
ָפ֣וֹךְ רְשָׁעִ֣ים וְאֵינָ֑ם וּבֵ֖ית צַדִּיקִ֣ים יַעֲמֹֽד׃
The wicked are overthrown, and are not: but the house of the righteous shall stand.
8 στομα συνετου εγκωμιαζεται υπο ανδρος νωθροκαρδιος δε μυκτηριζεται
ְֽפִי־שִׂ֭כְלוֹ יְהֻלַּל־אִ֑ישׁ וְנַעֲוֵה־לֵ֝֗ב יִהְיֶ֥ה לָבֽוּז׃
A man shall be commended according to his wisdom: but he that is of a perverse heart shall be despised.
9 κρεισσων ανηρ εν ατιμια δουλευων εαυτω η τιμην εαυτω περιτιθεις και προσδεομενος αρτου
֣וֹב נִ֭קְלֶה וְעֶ֣בֶד ל֑וֹ מִ֝מְּתַכַּבֵּ֗ד וַחֲסַר־לָֽחֶם׃
He that is despised, and has a servant, is better than he that honors himself, and lacks bread.
10 δικαιος οικτιρει ψυχας κτηνων αυτου τα δε σπλαγχνα των ασεβων ανελεημονα
וֹדֵ֣עַ צַ֭דִּיק נֶ֣פֶשׁ בְּהֶמְתּ֑וֹ וְֽרַחֲמֵ֥י רְ֝שָׁעִ֗ים אַכְזָרִֽי׃
A righteous man regards the life of his beast: but the tender mercies of the wicked are cruel.
11 ο εργαζομενος την εαυτου γην εμπλησθησεται αρτων οι δε διωκοντες ματαια ενδεεις φρενων α ος εστιν ηδυς εν οινων διατριβαις εν τοις εαυτου οχυρωμασιν καταλειψει ατιμιαν
ֹבֵ֣ד אַ֭דְמָתוֹ יִֽשְׂבַּֽע־לָ֑חֶם וּמְרַדֵּ֖ף רֵיקִ֣ים חֲסַר־לֵֽב׃
He that tills his land shall be satisfied with bread: but he that follows vain persons is void of understanding.
12 επιθυμιαι ασεβων κακαι αι δε ριζαι των ευσεβων εν οχυρωμασιν
ָמַ֣ד רָ֭שָׁע מְצ֣וֹד רָעִ֑ים וְשֹׁ֖רֶשׁ צַדִּיקִ֣ים יִתֵּֽן׃
The wicked desires the net of evil men: but the root of the righteous yields fruit.
13 δι αμαρτιαν χειλεων εμπιπτει εις παγιδας αμαρτωλος εκφευγει δε εξ αυτων δικαιος α ο βλεπων λεια ελεηθησεται ο δε συναντων εν πυλαις εκθλιψει ψυχας
ְּפֶ֣שַׁע שְׂ֭פָתַיִם מוֹקֵ֣שׁ רָ֑ע וַיֵּצֵ֖א מִצָּרָ֣ה צַדִּֽיק׃
The wicked is snared by the transgression of his lips: but the just shall come out of trouble.
14 απο καρπων στοματος ψυχη ανδρος πλησθησεται αγαθων ανταποδομα δε χειλεων αυτου δοθησεται αυτω
ִפְּרִ֣י פִי־אִ֭ישׁ יִשְׂבַּע־ט֑וֹב וּגְמ֥וּל יְדֵי־אָ֝דָ֗ם *ישוב **יָשִׁ֥יב לֽוֹ׃
A man shall be satisfied with good by the fruit of his mouth: and the recompence of a man's hands shall be rendered unto him.
15 οδοι αφρονων ορθαι ενωπιον αυτων εισακουει δε συμβουλιας σοφος
ֶּ֣רֶךְ אֱ֭וִיל יָשָׁ֣ר בְּעֵינָ֑יו וְשֹׁמֵ֖עַ לְעֵצָ֣ה חָכָֽם׃
The way of a fool is right in his own eyes: but he that hearkens unto counsel is wise.
16 αφρων αυθημερον εξαγγελλει οργην αυτου κρυπτει δε την εαυτου ατιμιαν πανουργος
ֱוִ֗יל בַּ֭יּוֹם יִוָּדַ֣ע כַּעְס֑וֹ וְכֹסֶ֖ה קָל֣וֹן עָרֽוּם׃
A fool's wrath is presently known: but a prudent man covers shame.
17 επιδεικνυμενην πιστιν απαγγελλει δικαιος ο δε μαρτυς των αδικων δολιος
ָפִ֣יחַ אֱ֭מוּנָה יַגִּ֣יד צֶ֑דֶק וְעֵ֖ד שְׁקָרִ֣ים מִרְמָֽה׃
He that speaks truth shows forth righteousness: but a false witness deceit.
18 εισιν οι λεγοντες τιτρωσκουσιν μαχαιρα γλωσσαι δε σοφων ιωνται
ֵ֣שׁ בּ֭וֹטֶה כְּמַדְקְר֣וֹת חָ֑רֶב וּלְשׁ֖וֹן חֲכָמִ֣ים מַרְפֵּֽא׃
There is that speaks like the piercings of a sword: but the tongue of the wise is health.
19 χειλη αληθινα κατορθοι μαρτυριαν μαρτυς δε ταχυς γλωσσαν εχει αδικον
ְֽׂפַת־אֱ֭מֶת תִּכּ֣וֹן לָעַ֑ד וְעַד־אַ֝רְגִּ֗יעָה לְשׁ֣וֹן שָֽׁקֶר׃
The lip of truth shall be established for ever: but a lying tongue is but for a moment.
20 δολος εν καρδια τεκταινομενου κακα οι δε βουλομενοι ειρηνην ευφρανθησονται
ִ֭רְמָה בְּלֶב־חֹ֣רְשֵׁי רָ֑ע וּֽלְיֹעֲצֵ֖י שָׁל֣וֹם שִׂמְחָֽה׃
Deceit is in the heart of them that imagine evil: but to the counsellors of peace is joy.
21 ουκ αρεσει τω δικαιω ουδεν αδικον οι δε ασεβεις πλησθησονται κακων
ֹא־יְאֻנֶּ֣ה לַצַּדִּ֣יק כָּל־אָ֑וֶן וּ֝רְשָׁעִ֗ים מָ֣לְאוּ רָֽע׃
There shall no evil happen to the just: but the wicked shall be filled with mischief.
22 βδελυγμα κυριω χειλη ψευδη ο δε ποιων πιστεις δεκτος παρ αυτω
ּוֹעֲבַ֣ת יְ֭הוָה שִׂפְתֵי־שָׁ֑קֶר וְעֹשֵׂ֖י אֱמוּנָ֣ה רְצוֹנֽוֹ׃
Lying lips are abomination to the LORD: but they that deal truly are his delight.
23 ανηρ συνετος θρονος αισθησεως καρδια δε αφρονων συναντησεται αραις
ָדָ֣ם עָ֭רוּם כֹּ֣סֶה דָּ֑עַת וְלֵ֥ב כְּ֝סִילִ֗ים יִקְרָ֥א אִוֶּֽלֶת׃
A prudent man conceals knowledge: but the heart of fools proclaims foolishness.
24 χειρ εκλεκτων κρατησει ευχερως δολιοι δε εσονται εις προνομην
ַד־חָרוּצִ֥ים תִּמְשׁ֑וֹל ו֝רְמִיָּ֗ה תִּהְיֶ֥ה לָמַֽס׃
The hand of the diligent shall bear rule: but the slothful shall be under tribute.
25 φοβερος λογος καρδιαν ταρασσει ανδρος δικαιου αγγελια δε αγαθη ευφραινει αυτον
ְּאָגָ֣ה בְלֶב־אִ֣ישׁ יַשְׁחֶ֑נָּה וְדָבָ֖ר ט֣וֹב יְשַׂמְּחֶֽנָּה׃
Heaviness in the heart of man makes it stoop: but a good word makes it glad.
26 επιγνωμων δικαιος εαυτου φιλος εσται αι δε γνωμαι των ασεβων ανεπιεικεις αμαρτανοντας καταδιωξεται κακα η δε οδος των ασεβων πλανησει αυτους
ָתֵ֣ר מֵרֵעֵ֣הוּ צַדִּ֑יק וְדֶ֖רֶךְ רְשָׁעִ֣ים תַּתְעֵֽם׃
The righteous is more excellent than his neighbour: but the way of the wicked seduces them.
27 ουκ επιτευξεται δολιος θηρας κτημα δε τιμιον ανηρ καθαρος
ֹא־יַחֲרֹ֣ךְ רְמִיָּ֣ה צֵיד֑וֹ וְהוֹן־אָדָ֖ם יָקָ֣ר חָרֽוּץ׃
The slothful man roasts not that which he took in hunting: but the substance of a diligent man is precious.
28 εν οδοις δικαιοσυνης ζωη οδοι δε μνησικακων εις θανατον
ְּאֹֽרַח־צְדָקָ֥ה חַיִּ֑ים וְדֶ֖רֶךְ נְתִיבָ֣ה אַל־מָֽוֶת׃
In the way of righteousness is life: and in the pathway thereof there is no death.
