1 ζυγοι δολιοι βδελυγμα ενωπιον κυριου σταθμιον δε δικαιον δεκτον αυτω
ֹאזְנֵ֣י מִ֭רְמָה תּוֹעֲבַ֣ת יְהוָ֑ה וְאֶ֖בֶן שְׁלֵמָ֣ה רְצוֹנֽוֹ׃
A false balance is abomination to the LORD: but a just weight is his delight.
2 ου εαν εισελθη υβρις εκει και ατιμια στομα δε ταπεινων μελετα σοφιαν
ָּֽא־זָ֭דוֹן וַיָּבֹ֣א קָל֑וֹן וְֽאֶת־צְנוּעִ֥ים חָכְמָֽה׃
When pride comes, then comes shame: but with the lowly is wisdom.
3 αποθανων δικαιος ελιπεν μεταμελον προχειρος δε γινεται και επιχαρτος ασεβων απωλεια
ֻּמַּ֣ת יְשָׁרִ֣ים תַּנְחֵ֑ם וְסֶ֖לֶף בּוֹגְדִ֣ים *ושדם **יְשָׁדֵּֽם׃
The integrity of the upright shall guide them: but the perverseness of transgressors shall destroy them.

ֹא־יוֹעִ֣יל ה֭וֹן בְּי֣וֹם עֶבְרָ֑ה וּ֝צְדָקָ֗ה תַּצִּ֥יל מִמָּֽוֶת׃
Riches profit not in the day of wrath: but righteousness delivers from death.
5 δικαιοσυνη αμωμους ορθοτομει οδους ασεβεια δε περιπιπτει αδικια
ִדְקַ֣ת תָּ֭מִים תְּיַשֵּׁ֣ר דַּרְכּ֑וֹ וּ֝בְרִשְׁעָת֗וֹ יִפֹּ֥ל רָשָֽׁע׃
The righteousness of the perfect shall direct his way: but the wicked shall fall by his own wickedness.
6 δικαιοσυνη ανδρων ορθων ρυεται αυτους τη δε απωλεια αυτων αλισκονται παρανομοι
ִדְקַ֣ת יְ֭שָׁרִים תַּצִּילֵ֑ם וּ֝בְהַוַּ֗ת בֹּגְדִ֥ים יִלָּכֵֽדוּ׃
The righteousness of the upright shall deliver them: but transgressors shall be taken in their own naughtiness.
7 τελευτησαντος ανδρος δικαιου ουκ ολλυται ελπις το δε καυχημα των ασεβων ολλυται
ְּמ֤וֹת אָדָ֣ם רָ֭שָׁע תֹּאבַ֣ד תִּקְוָ֑ה וְתוֹחֶ֖לֶת אוֹנִ֣ים אָבָֽדָה׃
When a wicked man dies, his expectation shall perish: and the hope of unjust men perishes.
8 δικαιος εκ θηρας εκδυνει αντ αυτου δε παραδιδοται ο ασεβης
ַ֭דִּיק מִצָּרָ֣ה נֶחֱלָ֑ץ וַיָּבֹ֖א רָשָׁ֣ע תַּחְתָּֽיו׃
The righteous is delivered out of trouble, and the wicked comes in his position.
9 εν στοματι ασεβων παγις πολιταις αισθησις δε δικαιων ευοδος
ְּפֶ֗ה חָ֭נֵף יַשְׁחִ֣ת רֵעֵ֑הוּ וּ֝בְדַ֗עַת צַדִּיקִ֥ים יֵחָלֵֽצוּ׃
An hypocrite with his mouth destroys his neighbour: but through knowledge shall the just be delivered.
10 εν αγαθοις δικαιων κατωρθωσεν πολις
ְּט֣וּב צַ֭דִּיקִים תַּעֲלֹ֣ץ קִרְיָ֑ה וּבַאֲבֹ֖ד רְשָׁעִ֣ים רִנָּֽה׃
When it goes well with the righteous, the city rejoices: and when the wicked perish, there is shouting.
11 στομασιν δε ασεβων κατεσκαφη
ְּבִרְכַּ֣ת יְ֭שָׁרִים תָּר֣וּם קָ֑רֶת וּבְפִ֥י רְ֝שָׁעִ֗ים תֵּהָרֵֽס׃
By the blessing of the upright the city is exalted: but it is overthrown by the mouth of the wicked.
12 μυκτηριζει πολιτας ενδεης φρενων ανηρ δε φρονιμος ησυχιαν αγει
ָּז־לְרֵעֵ֥הוּ חֲסַר־לֵ֑ב וְאִ֖ישׁ תְּבוּנ֣וֹת יַחֲרִֽישׁ׃
He that is void of wisdom despises his neighbour: but a man of understanding holds his peace.
13 ανηρ διγλωσσος αποκαλυπτει βουλας εν συνεδριω πιστος δε πνοη κρυπτει πραγματα
וֹלֵ֣ךְ רָ֭כִיל מְגַלֶּה־סּ֑וֹד וְנֶאֱמַן־ר֝֗וּחַ מְכַסֶּ֥ה דָבָֽר׃
A talebearer reveals secrets: but he that is of a faithful spirit conceals the matter.
14 οις μη υπαρχει κυβερνησις πιπτουσιν ωσπερ φυλλα σωτηρια δε υπαρχει εν πολλη βουλη
ְּאֵ֣ין תַּ֭חְבֻּלוֹת יִפָּל־עָ֑ם וּ֝תְשׁוּעָ֗ה בְּרֹ֣ב יוֹעֵֽץ׃
Where no counsel is, the people fall: but in the multitude of counsellors there is safety.
15 πονηρος κακοποιει οταν συμμειξη δικαιω μισει δε ηχον ασφαλειας
ַע־יֵ֭רוֹעַ כִּי־עָ֣רַב זָ֑ר וְשֹׂנֵ֖א תֹקְעִ֣ים בּוֹטֵֽחַ׃
He that is guarantor for a stranger shall smart for it: and he that hates standing for surety is sure.
16 γυνη ευχαριστος εγειρει ανδρι δοξαν θρονος δε ατιμιας γυνη μισουσα δικαια πλουτου οκνηροι ενδεεις γινονται οι δε ανδρειοι ερειδονται πλουτω
ֵֽשֶׁת־חֵ֭ן תִּתְמֹ֣ךְ כָּב֑וֹד וְ֝עָרִיצִ֗ים יִתְמְכוּ־עֹֽשֶׁר׃
A gracious woman retains honour: and strong men retain riches.
17 τη ψυχη αυτου αγαθον ποιει ανηρ ελεημων εξολλυει δε αυτου σωμα ο ανελεημων
ֹּמֵ֣ל נַ֭פְשׁוֹ אִ֣ישׁ חָ֑סֶד וְעֹכֵ֥ר שְׁ֝אֵר֗וֹ אַכְזָרִֽי׃
The merciful man does good to his own soul: but he that is cruel troubles his own flesh.
18 ασεβης ποιει εργα αδικα σπερμα δε δικαιων μισθος αληθειας
ָשָׁ֗ע עֹשֶׂ֥ה פְעֻלַּת־שָׁ֑קֶר וְזֹרֵ֥עַ צְ֝דָקָ֗ה שֶׂ֣כֶר אֱמֶֽת׃
The wicked works a deceitful work: but to him that sows righteousness shall be a sure reward.
19 υιος δικαιος γενναται εις ζωην διωγμος δε ασεβους εις θανατον
ֵּן־צְדָקָ֥ה לְחַיִּ֑ים וּמְרַדֵּ֖ף רָעָ֣ה לְמוֹתֽוֹ׃
As righteousness tends to life: so he that pursues evil pursues it to his own death.
20 βδελυγμα κυριω διεστραμμεναι οδοι προσδεκτοι δε αυτω παντες αμωμοι εν ταις οδοις αυτων
ּוֹעֲבַ֣ת יְ֭הוָה עִקְּשֵׁי־לֵ֑ב וּ֝רְצוֹנ֗וֹ תְּמִ֣ימֵי דָֽרֶךְ׃
They that are of a perverse heart are abomination to the LORD: but such as are upright in their way are his delight.
21 χειρι χειρας εμβαλων αδικως ουκ ατιμωρητος εσται ο δε σπειρων δικαιοσυνην λημψεται μισθον πιστον
ָ֣ד לְ֭יָד לֹא־יִנָּ֣קֶה רָּ֑ע וְזֶ֖רַע צַדִּיקִ֣ים נִמְלָֽט׃
Though hand join in hand, the wicked shall not be unpunished: but the seed of the righteous shall be delivered.
22 ωσπερ ενωτιον εν ρινι υος ουτως γυναικι κακοφρονι καλλος
ֶ֣זֶם זָ֭הָב בְּאַ֣ף חֲזִ֑יר אִשָּׁ֥ה יָ֝פָ֗ה וְסָ֣רַת טָֽעַם׃
As a jewel of gold in a swine's snout, so is a fair woman which is without discretion.
23 επιθυμια δικαιων πασα αγαθη ελπις δε ασεβων απολειται
ַּאֲוַ֣ת צַדִּיקִ֣ים אַךְ־ט֑וֹב תִּקְוַ֖ת רְשָׁעִ֣ים עֶבְרָֽה׃
The desire of the righteous is only good: but the expectation of the wicked is wrath.
24 εισιν οι τα ιδια σπειροντες πλειονα ποιουσιν εισιν και οι συναγοντες ελαττονουνται
ֵ֣שׁ מְ֭פַזֵּר וְנוֹסָ֥ף ע֑וֹד וְחוֹשֵׂ֥ךְ מִ֝יֹּ֗שֶׁר אַךְ־לְמַחְסֽוֹר׃
There is that scatters, and yet increases; and there is that withholds more than is meet, but it tends to poverty.
25 ψυχη ευλογουμενη πασα απλη ανηρ δε θυμωδης ουκ ευσχημων
ֶֽפֶשׁ־בְּרָכָ֥ה תְדֻשָּׁ֑ן וּ֝מַרְוֶ֗ה גַּם־ה֥וּא יוֹרֶֽא׃
The liberal soul shall be made fat: and he that waters shall be watered also himself.
26 ο συνεχων σιτον υπολιποιτο αυτον τοις εθνεσιν ευλογια δε εις κεφαλην του μεταδιδοντος
ֹ֣נֵֽעַ בָּ֭ר יִקְּבֻ֣הוּ לְא֑וֹם וּ֝בְרָכָ֗ה לְרֹ֣אשׁ מַשְׁבִּֽיר׃
He that withholds corn, the people shall curse him: but blessing shall be upon the head of him that sells it.
27 τεκταινομενος αγαθα ζητει χαριν αγαθην εκζητουντα δε κακα καταλημψεται αυτον
ֹׁ֣חֵֽר ט֭וֹב יְבַקֵּ֣שׁ רָצ֑וֹן וְדֹרֵ֖שׁ רָעָ֣ה תְבוֹאֶֽנּוּ׃
He that diligently seeks good procures favour: but he that seeks mischief, it shall come unto him.
28 ο πεποιθως επι πλουτω ουτος πεσειται ο δε αντιλαμβανομενος δικαιων ουτος ανατελει
ּוֹטֵ֣חַ בְּ֭עָשְׁרוֹ ה֣וּא יִפֹּ֑ל וְ֝כֶעָלֶ֗ה צַדִּיקִ֥ים יִפְרָֽחוּ׃
He that trusts in his riches shall fall; but the righteous shall flourish as a branch.
29 ο μη συμπεριφερομενος τω εαυτου οικω κληρονομησει ανεμον δουλευσει δε αφρων φρονιμω
וֹכֵ֣ר בֵּ֭יתוֹ יִנְחַל־ר֑וּחַ וְעֶ֥בֶד אֱ֝וִ֗יל לַחֲכַם־לֵֽב׃
He that troubles his own house shall inherit the wind: and the fool shall be servant to the wise of heart.
30 εκ καρπου δικαιοσυνης φυεται δενδρον ζωης αφαιρουνται δε αωροι ψυχαι παρανομων
ְּֽרִי־צַ֭דִּיק עֵ֣ץ חַיִּ֑ים וְלֹקֵ֖חַ נְפָשׂ֣וֹת חָכָֽם׃
The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life; and he that wins souls is wise.
31 ει ο μεν δικαιος μολις σωζεται ο ασεβης και αμαρτωλος που φανειται
ֵ֣ן צַ֭דִּיק בָּאָ֣רֶץ יְשֻׁלָּ֑ם אַ֝֗ף כִּֽי־רָשָׁ֥ע וְחוֹטֵֽא׃
Behold, the righteous shall be recompensed in the earth: much more the wicked and the sinner.
