| 1 | Korah, Dathan and Abiramκαι ελαλησεν κορε υιος ισσααρ υιου κααθ υιου λευι και δαθαν και αβιρων υιοι ελιαβ και αυν υιος φαλεθ υιου ρουβηνַיִּקַּ֣ח קֹ֔רַח בֶּן־יִצְהָ֥ר בֶּן־קְהָ֖ת בֶּן־לֵוִ֑י וְדָתָ֨ן וַאֲבִירָ֜ם בְּנֵ֧י אֱלִיאָ֛ב וְא֥וֹן בֶּן־פֶּ֖לֶת בְּנֵ֥י רְאוּבֵֽן׃ Now Korah, the son of Izhar, the son of Kohath, the son of Levi, and Dathan and Abiram, the sons of Eliab, and On, the son of Peleth, sons of Reuben, took men: |

| 2 | και ανεστησαν εναντι μωυση και ανδρες των υιων ισραηλ πεντηκοντα και διακοσιοι αρχηγοι συναγωγης συγκλητοι βουλης και ανδρες ονομαστοι ַיָּקֻ֙מוּ֙ לִפְנֵ֣י מֹשֶׁ֔ה וַאֲנָשִׁ֥ים מִבְּנֵֽי־יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל חֲמִשִּׁ֣ים וּמָאתָ֑יִם נְשִׂיאֵ֥י עֵדָ֛ה קְרִאֵ֥י מוֹעֵ֖ד אַנְשֵׁי־שֵֽׁם׃ And they rose up before Moses, with certain of the children of Israel, two hundred and fifty princes of the assembly, famous in the congregation, men of renown: |
| 3 | συνεστησαν επι μωυσην και ααρων και ειπαν εχετω υμιν οτι πασα η συναγωγη παντες αγιοι και εν αυτοις κυριος και δια τι κατανιστασθε επι την συναγωγην κυριου ַיִּֽקָּהֲל֞וּ עַל־מֹשֶׁ֣ה וְעַֽל־אַהֲרֹ֗ן וַיֹּאמְר֣וּ אֲלֵהֶם֮ רַב־לָכֶם֒ כִּ֤י כָל־הָֽעֵדָה֙ כֻּלָּ֣ם קְדֹשִׁ֔ים וּבְתוֹכָ֖ם יְהוָ֑ה וּמַדּ֥וּעַ תִּֽתְנַשְּׂא֖וּ עַל־קְהַ֥ל יְהוָֽה׃ And they gathered themselves together against Moses and against Aaron, and said unto them, All of you take too much upon you, seeing all the congregation are holy, every one of them, and the LORD is among them: wherefore then lift all of you up yourselves above the congregation of the LORD? |
| 4 | και ακουσας μωυσης επεσεν επι προσωπον ַיִּשְׁמַ֣ע מֹשֶׁ֔ה וַיִּפֹּ֖ל עַל־פָּנָֽיו׃ And when Moses heard it, he fell upon his face: |
| 5 | και ελαλησεν προς κορε και προς πασαν αυτου την συναγωγην λεγων επεσκεπται και εγνω ο θεος τους οντας αυτου και τους αγιους και προσηγαγετο προς εαυτον και ους εξελεξατο εαυτω προσηγαγετο προς εαυτον ַיְדַבֵּ֨ר אֶל־קֹ֜רַח וְאֶֽל־כָּל־עֲדָתוֹ֮ לֵאמֹר֒ בֹּ֠קֶר וְיֹדַ֨ע יְהוָ֧ה אֶת־אֲשֶׁר־ל֛וֹ וְאֶת־הַקָּד֖וֹשׁ וְהִקְרִ֣יב אֵלָ֑יו וְאֵ֛ת אֲשֶׁ֥ר יִבְחַר־בּ֖וֹ יַקְרִ֥יב אֵלָֽיו׃ And he spoke unto Korah and unto all his company, saying, Even tomorrow the LORD will show who are his, and who is holy; and will cause him to come near unto him: even him whom he has chosen will he cause to come near unto him. |
| 6 | τουτο ποιησατε λαβετε υμιν αυτοις πυρεια κορε και πασα η συναγωγη αυτου ֹ֖את עֲשׂ֑וּ קְחוּ־לָכֶ֣ם מַחְתּ֔וֹת קֹ֖רַח וְכָל־עֲדָתֽוֹ׃ This do; Take you censers, Korah, and all his company; |
| 7 | και επιθετε επ αυτα πυρ και επιθετε επ αυτα θυμιαμα εναντι κυριου αυριον και εσται ο ανηρ ον αν εκλεξηται κυριος ουτος αγιος ικανουσθω υμιν υιοι λευι ּתְנ֣וּ בָהֵ֣ן ׀ אֵ֡שׁ וְשִׂימוּ֩ עֲלֵיהֶ֨ן ׀ קְטֹ֜רֶת לִפְנֵ֤י יְהוָה֙ מָחָ֔ר וְהָיָ֗ה הָאִ֛ישׁ אֲשֶׁר־יִבְחַ֥ר יְהוָ֖ה ה֣וּא הַקָּד֑וֹשׁ רַב־לָכֶ֖ם בְּנֵ֥י לֵוִֽי׃ And put fire therein, and put incense in them before the LORD tomorrow: and it shall be that the man whom the LORD does choose, he shall be holy: all of you take too much upon you, all of you sons of Levi. |
| 8 | και ειπεν μωυσης προς κορε εισακουσατε μου υιοι λευι ַיֹּ֥אמֶר מֹשֶׁ֖ה אֶל־קֹ֑רַח שִׁמְעוּ־נָ֖א בְּנֵ֥י לֵוִֽי׃ And Moses said unto Korah, Hear, I pray you, all of you sons of Levi: |
| 9 | μη μικρον εστιν τουτο υμιν οτι διεστειλεν ο θεος ισραηλ υμας εκ συναγωγης ισραηλ και προσηγαγετο υμας προς εαυτον λειτουργειν τας λειτουργιας της σκηνης κυριου και παριστασθαι εναντι της συναγωγης λατρευειν αυτοις ַמְעַ֣ט מִכֶּ֗ם כִּֽי־הִבְדִּיל֩ אֱלֹהֵ֨י יִשְׂרָאֵ֤ל אֶתְכֶם֙ מֵעֲדַ֣ת יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל לְהַקְרִ֥יב אֶתְכֶ֖ם אֵלָ֑יו לַעֲבֹ֗ד אֶת־עֲבֹדַת֙ מִשְׁכַּ֣ן יְהוָ֔ה וְלַעֲמֹ֛ד לִפְנֵ֥י הָעֵדָ֖ה לְשָׁרְתָֽם׃ Seems it but a small thing unto you, that the God of Israel has separated you from the congregation of Israel, to bring you near to himself to do the service of the tabernacle of the LORD, and to stand before the congregation to minister unto them? |
| 10 | και προσηγαγετο σε και παντας τους αδελφους σου υιους λευι μετα σου και ζητειτε ιερατευειν ַיַּקְרֵב֙ אֹֽתְךָ֔ וְאֶת־כָּל־אַחֶ֥יךָ בְנֵי־לֵוִ֖י אִתָּ֑ךְ וּבִקַּשְׁתֶּ֖ם גַּם־כְּהֻנָּֽה׃ And he has brought you near to him, and all your brethren the sons of Levi with you: and seek all of you the priesthood also? |
| 11 | ουτως συ και πασα η συναγωγη σου η συνηθροισμενη προς τον θεον και ααρων τις εστιν οτι διαγογγυζετε κατ αυτου ָכֵ֗ן אַתָּה֙ וְכָל־עֲדָ֣תְךָ֔ הַנֹּעָדִ֖ים עַל־יְהוָ֑ה וְאַהֲרֹ֣ן מַה־ה֔וּא כִּ֥י *תלונו **תַלִּ֖ינוּ עָלָֽיו׃ For which cause both you and all your company are gathered together against the LORD: and what is Aaron, that all of you murmur against him? |
| 12 | και απεστειλεν μωυσης καλεσαι δαθαν και αβιρων υιους ελιαβ και ειπαν ουκ αναβαινομεν ַיִּשְׁלַ֣ח מֹשֶׁ֔ה לִקְרֹ֛א לְדָתָ֥ן וְלַאֲבִירָ֖ם בְּנֵ֣י אֱלִיאָ֑ב וַיֹּאמְר֖וּ לֹ֥א נַעֲלֶֽה׃ And Moses sent to call Dathan and Abiram, the sons of Eliab: which said, We will not come up: |
| 13 | μη μικρον τουτο οτι ανηγαγες ημας εκ γης ρεουσης γαλα και μελι αποκτειναι ημας εν τη ερημω οτι καταρχεις ημων αρχων ַמְעַ֗ט כִּ֤י הֶֽעֱלִיתָ֙נוּ֙ מֵאֶ֨רֶץ זָבַ֤ת חָלָב֙ וּדְבַ֔שׁ לַהֲמִיתֵ֖נוּ בַּמִּדְבָּ֑ר כִּֽי־תִשְׂתָּרֵ֥ר עָלֵ֖ינוּ גַּם־הִשְׂתָּרֵֽר׃ Is it a small thing that you have brought us up out of a land that flows with milk and honey, to kill us in the wilderness, except you make yourself altogether a prince over us? |
| 14 | ει και εις γην ρεουσαν γαλα και μελι εισηγαγες ημας και εδωκας ημιν κληρον αγρου και αμπελωνας τους οφθαλμους των ανθρωπων εκεινων αν εξεκοψας ουκ αναβαινομεν ַ֡ף לֹ֣א אֶל־אֶרֶץ֩ זָבַ֨ת חָלָ֤ב וּדְבַשׁ֙ הֲבִ֣יאֹתָ֔נוּ וַתִּ֨תֶּן־לָ֔נוּ נַחֲלַ֖ת שָׂדֶ֣ה וָכָ֑רֶם הַעֵינֵ֞י הָאֲנָשִׁ֥ים הָהֵ֛ם תְּנַקֵּ֖ר לֹ֥א נַעֲלֶֽה׃ Moreover you have not brought us into a land that flows with milk and honey, or given us inheritance of fields and vineyards: will you put out the eyes of these men? we will not come up. |
| 15 | και εβαρυθυμησεν μωυσης σφοδρα και ειπεν προς κυριον μη προσχης εις την θυσιαν αυτων ουκ επιθυμημα ουδενος αυτων ειληφα ουδε εκακωσα ουδενα αυτων ַיִּ֤חַר לְמֹשֶׁה֙ מְאֹ֔ד וַיֹּ֙אמֶר֙ אֶל־יְהוָ֔ה אַל־תֵּ֖פֶן אֶל־מִנְחָתָ֑ם לֹ֠א חֲמ֨וֹר אֶחָ֤ד מֵהֶם֙ נָשָׂ֔אתִי וְלֹ֥א הֲרֵעֹ֖תִי אֶת־אַחַ֥ד מֵהֶֽם׃ And Moses was very angry, and said unto the LORD, Respect not you their offering: I have not taken one ass from them, neither have I hurt one of them. |
| 16 | και ειπεν μωυσης προς κορε αγιασον την συναγωγην σου και γινεσθε ετοιμοι εναντι κυριου συ και αυτοι και ααρων αυριον ַיֹּ֤אמֶר מֹשֶׁה֙ אֶל־קֹ֔רַח אַתָּה֙ וְכָל־עֲדָ֣תְךָ֔ הֱי֖וּ לִפְנֵ֣י יְהוָ֑ה אַתָּ֥ה וָהֵ֛ם וְאַהֲרֹ֖ן מָחָֽר׃ And Moses said unto Korah, Be you and all your company before the LORD, you, and they, and Aaron, tomorrow: |
| 17 | και λαβετε εκαστος το πυρειον αυτου και επιθησετε επ αυτα θυμιαμα και προσαξετε εναντι κυριου εκαστος το πυρειον αυτου πεντηκοντα και διακοσια πυρεια και συ και ααρων εκαστος το πυρειον αυτου ּקְח֣וּ ׀ אִ֣ישׁ מַחְתָּת֗וֹ וּנְתַתֶּ֤ם עֲלֵיהֶם֙ קְטֹ֔רֶת וְהִקְרַבְתֶּ֞ם לִפְנֵ֤י יְהוָה֙ אִ֣ישׁ מַחְתָּת֔וֹ חֲמִשִּׁ֥ים וּמָאתַ֖יִם מַחְתֹּ֑ת וְאַתָּ֥ה וְאַהֲרֹ֖ן אִ֥ישׁ מַחְתָּתֽוֹ׃ And take every man his censer, and put incense in them, and bring all of you before the LORD every man his censer, two hundred and fifty censers; you also, and Aaron, each of you his censer. |
| 18 | και ελαβεν εκαστος το πυρειον αυτου και επεθηκαν επ αυτα πυρ και επεβαλον επ αυτο θυμιαμα και εστησαν παρα τας θυρας της σκηνης του μαρτυριου μωυσης και ααρων ַיִּקְח֞וּ אִ֣ישׁ מַחְתָּת֗וֹ וַיִּתְּנ֤וּ עֲלֵיהֶם֙ אֵ֔שׁ וַיָּשִׂ֥ימוּ עֲלֵיהֶ֖ם קְטֹ֑רֶת וַֽיַּעַמְד֗וּ פֶּ֛תַח אֹ֥הֶל מוֹעֵ֖ד וּמֹשֶׁ֥ה וְאַהֲרֹֽן׃ And they took every man his censer, and put fire in them, and laid incense thereon, and stood in the door of the tabernacle of the congregation with Moses and Aaron. |
| 19 | και επισυνεστησεν επ αυτους κορε την πασαν αυτου συναγωγην παρα την θυραν της σκηνης του μαρτυριου και ωφθη η δοξα κυριου παση τη συναγωγη ַיַּקְהֵ֨ל עֲלֵיהֶ֥ם קֹ֙רַח֙ אֶת־כָּל־הָ֣עֵדָ֔ה אֶל־פֶּ֖תַח אֹ֣הֶל מוֹעֵ֑ד וַיֵּרָ֥א כְבוֹד־יְהוָ֖ה אֶל־כָּל־הָעֵדָֽה׃ פ And Korah gathered all the congregation against them unto the door of the tabernacle of the congregation: and the glory of the LORD appeared unto all the congregation. |
| 20 | και ελαλησεν κυριος προς μωυσην και ααρων λεγων ַיְדַבֵּ֣ר יְהוָ֔ה אֶל־מֹשֶׁ֥ה וְאֶֽל־אַהֲרֹ֖ן לֵאמֹֽר׃ And the LORD spoke unto Moses and unto Aaron, saying, |
| 21 | αποσχισθητε εκ μεσου της συναγωγης ταυτης και εξαναλωσω αυτους εις απαξ ִבָּ֣דְל֔וּ מִתּ֖וֹךְ הָעֵדָ֣ה הַזֹּ֑את וַאַכַלֶּ֥ה אֹתָ֖ם כְּרָֽגַע׃ Separate yourselves from among this congregation, that I may consume them in a moment. |
| 22 | και επεσαν επι προσωπον αυτων και ειπαν θεος θεος των πνευματων και πασης σαρκος ει ανθρωπος εις ημαρτεν επι πασαν την συναγωγην οργη κυριου ַיִּפְּל֤וּ עַל־פְּנֵיהֶם֙ וַיֹּ֣אמְר֔וּ אֵ֕ל אֱלֹהֵ֥י הָרוּחֹ֖ת לְכָל־בָּשָׂ֑ר הָאִ֤ישׁ אֶחָד֙ יֶחֱטָ֔א וְעַ֥ל כָּל־הָעֵדָ֖ה תִּקְצֹֽף׃ פ And they fell upon their faces, and said, O God, the God of the spirits of all flesh, shall one man sin, and will you be angry with all the congregation? |
| 23 | και ελαλησεν κυριος προς μωυσην λεγων ַיְדַבֵּ֥ר יְהוָ֖ה אֶל־מֹשֶׁ֥ה לֵּאמֹֽר׃ And the LORD spoke unto Moses, saying, |
| 24 | λαλησον τη συναγωγη λεγων αναχωρησατε κυκλω απο της συναγωγης κορε ַּבֵּ֥ר אֶל־הָעֵדָ֖ה לֵאמֹ֑ר הֵֽעָלוּ֙ מִסָּבִ֔יב לְמִשְׁכַּן־קֹ֖רַח דָּתָ֥ן וַאֲבִירָֽם׃ Speak unto the congregation, saying, Get you up from about the tabernacle of Korah, Dathan, and Abiram. |
| 25 | και ανεστη μωυσης και επορευθη προς δαθαν και αβιρων και συνεπορευθησαν μετ αυτου παντες οι πρεσβυτεροι ισραηλ ַיָּ֣קָם מֹשֶׁ֔ה וַיֵּ֖לֶךְ אֶל־דָּתָ֣ן וַאֲבִירָ֑ם וַיֵּלְכ֥וּ אַחֲרָ֖יו זִקְנֵ֥י יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃ And Moses rose up and went unto Dathan and Abiram; and the elders of Israel followed him. |
| 26 | και ελαλησεν προς την συναγωγην λεγων αποσχισθητε απο των σκηνων των ανθρωπων των σκληρων τουτων και μη απτεσθε απο παντων ων εστιν αυτοις μη συναπολησθε εν παση τη αμαρτια αυτων ַיְדַבֵּ֨ר אֶל־הָעֵדָ֜ה לֵאמֹ֗ר ס֣וּרוּ נָ֡א מֵעַל֩ אָהֳלֵ֨י הָאֲנָשִׁ֤ים הָֽרְשָׁעִים֙ הָאֵ֔לֶּה וְאַֽל־תִּגְּע֖וּ בְּכָל־אֲשֶׁ֣ר לָהֶ֑ם פֶּן־תִּסָּפ֖וּ בְּכָל־חַטֹּאתָֽם׃ And he spoke unto the congregation, saying, Depart, I pray you, from the tents of these wicked men, and touch nothing of their's, lest all of you be consumed in all their sins. |
| 27 | και απεστησαν απο της σκηνης κορε κυκλω και δαθαν και αβιρων εξηλθον και ειστηκεισαν παρα τας θυρας των σκηνων αυτων και αι γυναικες αυτων και τα τεκνα αυτων και η αποσκευη αυτων ַיֵּעָל֗וּ מֵעַ֧ל מִשְׁכַּן־קֹ֛רֶח דָּתָ֥ן וַאֲבִירָ֖ם מִסָּבִ֑יב וְדָתָ֨ן וַאֲבִירָ֜ם יָצְא֣וּ נִצָּבִ֗ים פֶּ֚תַח אֽ͏ָהֳלֵיהֶ֔ם וּנְשֵׁיהֶ֥ם וּבְנֵיהֶ֖ם וְטַפָּֽם׃ So they got up from the tabernacle of Korah, Dathan, and Abiram, on every side: and Dathan and Abiram came out, and stood in the door of their tents, and their wives, and their sons, and their little children. |
| 28 | και ειπεν μωυσης εν τουτω γνωσεσθε οτι κυριος απεστειλεν με ποιησαι παντα τα εργα ταυτα οτι ουκ απ εμαυτου ַיֹּאמֶר֮ מֹשֶׁה֒ בְּזֹאת֙ תֵּֽדְע֔וּן כִּֽי־יְהוָ֣ה שְׁלָחַ֔נִי לַעֲשׂ֕וֹת אֵ֥ת כָּל־הַֽמַּעֲשִׂ֖ים הָאֵ֑לֶּה כִּי־לֹ֖א מִלִּבִּֽי׃ And Moses said, Hereby all of you shall know that the LORD has sent me to do all these works; for I have not done them of mine own mind. |
| 29 | ει κατα θανατον παντων ανθρωπων αποθανουνται ουτοι ει και κατ επισκεψιν παντων ανθρωπων επισκοπη εσται αυτων ουχι κυριος απεσταλκεν με ִם־כְּמ֤וֹת כָּל־הָֽאָדָם֙ יְמֻת֣וּן אֵ֔לֶּה וּפְקֻדַּת֙ כָּל־הָ֣אָדָ֔ם יִפָּקֵ֖ד עֲלֵיהֶ֑ם לֹ֥א יְהוָ֖ה שְׁלָחָֽנִי׃ If these men die the common death of all men, or if they be visited after the visitation of all men; then the LORD has not sent me. |
| 30 | αλλ η εν φασματι δειξει κυριος και ανοιξασα η γη το στομα αυτης καταπιεται αυτους και τους οικους αυτων και τας σκηνας αυτων και παντα οσα εστιν αυτοις και καταβησονται ζωντες εις αδου και γνωσεσθε οτι παρωξυναν οι ανθρωποι ουτοι τον κυριον ְאִם־בְּרִיאָ֞ה יִבְרָ֣א יְהוָ֗ה וּפָצְתָ֨ה הָאֲדָמָ֤ה אֶת־פִּ֙יהָ֙ וּבָלְעָ֤ה אֹתָם֙ וְאֶת־כָּל־אֲשֶׁ֣ר לָהֶ֔ם וְיָרְד֥וּ חַיִּ֖ים שְׁאֹ֑לָה וִֽידַעְתֶּ֕ם כִּ֧י נִֽאֲצ֛וּ הָאֲנָשִׁ֥ים הָאֵ֖לֶּה אֶת־יְהוָֽה׃ But if the LORD make a new thing, and the earth open her mouth, and swallow them up, with all that appertain unto them, and they go down quick into the pit; then all of you shall understand that these men have provoked the LORD. |
| 31 | ως δε επαυσατο λαλων παντας τους λογους τουτους ερραγη η γη υποκατω αυτων ַיְהִי֙ כְּכַלֹּת֔וֹ לְדַבֵּ֕ר אֵ֥ת כָּל־הַדְּבָרִ֖ים הָאֵ֑לֶּה וַתִּבָּקַ֥ע הָאֲדָמָ֖ה אֲשֶׁ֥ר תַּחְתֵּיהֶֽם׃ And it came to pass, as he had made an end of speaking all these words, that the ground clave asunder that was under them: |
| 32 | και ηνοιχθη η γη και κατεπιεν αυτους και τους οικους αυτων και παντας τους ανθρωπους τους οντας μετα κορε και τα κτηνη αυτων ַתִּפְתַּ֤ח הָאָ֙רֶץ֙ אֶת־פִּ֔יהָ וַתִּבְלַ֥ע אֹתָ֖ם וְאֶת־בָּתֵּיהֶ֑ם וְאֵ֤ת כָּל־הָאָדָם֙ אֲשֶׁ֣ר לְקֹ֔רַח וְאֵ֖ת כָּל־הָרֲכֽוּשׁ׃ And the earth opened her mouth, and swallowed them up, and their houses, and all the men that appertained unto Korah, and all their goods. |
| 33 | και κατεβησαν αυτοι και οσα εστιν αυτων ζωντα εις αδου και εκαλυψεν αυτους η γη και απωλοντο εκ μεσου της συναγωγης ַיֵּ֨רְד֜וּ הֵ֣ם וְכָל־אֲשֶׁ֥ר לָהֶ֛ם חַיִּ֖ים שְׁאֹ֑לָה וַתְּכַ֤ס עֲלֵיהֶם֙ הָאָ֔רֶץ וַיֹּאבְד֖וּ מִתּ֥וֹךְ הַקָּהָֽל׃ They, and all that appertained to them, went down alive into the pit, and the earth closed upon them: and they perished from among the congregation. |
| 34 | και πας ισραηλ οι κυκλω αυτων εφυγον απο της φωνης αυτων οτι λεγοντες μηποτε καταπιη ημας η γη ְכָל־יִשְׂרָאֵ֗ל אֲשֶׁ֛ר סְבִיבֹתֵיהֶ֖ם נָ֣סוּ לְקֹלָ֑ם כִּ֣י אָֽמְר֔וּ פֶּן־תִּבְלָעֵ֖נוּ הָאָֽרֶץ׃ And all Israel that were round about them fled at the cry of them: for they said, Lest the earth swallow us up also. |
| 35 | και πυρ εξηλθεν παρα κυριου και κατεφαγεν τους πεντηκοντα και διακοσιους ανδρας τους προσφεροντας το θυμιαμα ְאֵ֥שׁ יָצְאָ֖ה מֵאֵ֣ת יְהוָ֑ה וַתֹּ֗אכַל אֵ֣ת הַחֲמִשִּׁ֤ים וּמָאתַ֙יִם֙ אִ֔ישׁ מַקְרִיבֵ֖י הַקְּטֹֽרֶת׃ פ And there came out a fire from the LORD, and consumed the two hundred and fifty men that offered incense. |
| 36 | και ειπεν κυριος προς μωυσην And the LORD spoke unto Moses, saying, |
| 37 | και προς ελεαζαρ τον υιον ααρων τον ιερεα ανελεσθε τα πυρεια τα χαλκα εκ μεσου των κατακεκαυμενων και το πυρ το αλλοτριον τουτο σπειρον εκει οτι ηγιασαν Speak unto Eleazar the son of Aaron the priest, that he take up the censers out of the burning, and scatter you the fire yonder; for they are hallowed. |
| 38 | τα πυρεια των αμαρτωλων τουτων εν ταις ψυχαις αυτων και ποιησον αυτα λεπιδας ελατας περιθεμα τω θυσιαστηριω οτι προσηνεχθησαν εναντι κυριου και ηγιασθησαν και εγενοντο εις σημειον τοις υιοις ισραηλ The censers of these sinners against their own souls, let them make them broad plates for a covering of the altar: for they offered them before the LORD, therefore they are hallowed: and they shall be a sign unto the children of Israel. |
| 39 | και ελαβεν ελεαζαρ υιος ααρων του ιερεως τα πυρεια τα χαλκα οσα προσηνεγκαν οι κατακεκαυμενοι και προσεθηκαν αυτα περιθεμα τω θυσιαστηριω And Eleazar the priest took the brazen censers, wherewith they that were burnt had offered; and they were made broad plates for a covering of the altar: |
| 40 | μνημοσυνον τοις υιοις ισραηλ οπως αν μη προσελθη μηθεις αλλογενης ος ουκ εστιν εκ του σπερματος ααρων επιθειναι θυμιαμα εναντι κυριου και ουκ εσται ωσπερ κορε και η επισυστασις αυτου καθα ελαλησεν κυριος εν χειρι μωυση To be a memorial unto the children of Israel, that no stranger, which is not of the seed of Aaron, come near to offer incense before the LORD; that he be not as Korah, and as his company: as the LORD said to him by the hand of Moses. |
| 41 | και εγογγυσαν οι υιοι ισραηλ τη επαυριον επι μωυσην και ααρων λεγοντες υμεις απεκταγκατε τον λαον κυριου But on the next day all the congregation of the children of Israel murmured against Moses and against Aaron, saying, All of you have killed the people of the LORD. |
| 42 | και εγενετο εν τω επισυστρεφεσθαι την συναγωγην επι μωυσην και ααρων και ωρμησαν επι την σκηνην του μαρτυριου και τηνδε εκαλυψεν αυτην η νεφελη και ωφθη η δοξα κυριου And it came to pass, when the congregation was gathered against Moses and against Aaron, that they looked toward the tabernacle of the congregation: and, behold, the cloud covered it, and the glory of the LORD appeared. |
| 43 | και εισηλθεν μωυσης και ααρων κατα προσωπον της σκηνης του μαρτυριου And Moses and Aaron came before the tabernacle of the congregation. |
| 44 | και ελαλησεν κυριος προς μωυσην και ααρων λεγων And the LORD spoke unto Moses, saying, |
| 45 | εκχωρησατε εκ μεσου της συναγωγης ταυτης και εξαναλωσω αυτους εις απαξ και επεσον επι προσωπον αυτων Get you up from among this congregation, that I may consume them as in a moment. And they fell upon their faces. |
| 46 | και ειπεν μωυσης προς ααρων λαβε το πυρειον και επιθες επ αυτο πυρ απο του θυσιαστηριου και επιβαλε επ αυτο θυμιαμα και απενεγκε το ταχος εις την παρεμβολην και εξιλασαι περι αυτων εξηλθεν γαρ οργη απο προσωπου κυριου ηρκται θραυειν τον λαον And Moses said unto Aaron, Take a censer, and put fire therein from off the altar, and put on incense, and go quickly unto the congregation, and make an atonement for them: for there is wrath gone out from the LORD; the plague is begun. |
| 47 | και ελαβεν ααρων καθαπερ ελαλησεν αυτω μωυσης και εδραμεν εις την συναγωγην και ηδη ενηρκτο η θραυσις εν τω λαω και επεβαλεν το θυμιαμα και εξιλασατο περι του λαου And Aaron took as Moses commanded, and ran into the midst of the congregation; and, behold, the plague was begun among the people: and he put on incense, and made an atonement for the people. |
| 48 | και εστη ανα μεσον των τεθνηκοτων και των ζωντων και εκοπασεν η θραυσις And he stood between the dead and the living; and the plague was stayed. |
| 49 | και εγενοντο οι τεθνηκοτες εν τη θραυσει τεσσαρες και δεκα χιλιαδες και επτακοσιοι χωρις των τεθνηκοτων ενεκεν κορε Now they that died in the plague were fourteen thousand and seven hundred, beside them that died about the matter of Korah. |
| 50 | και επεστρεψεν ααρων προς μωυσην επι την θυραν της σκηνης του μαρτυριου και εκοπασεν η θραυσις And Aaron returned unto Moses unto the door of the tabernacle of the congregation: and the plague was stayed. |
