| 1 | Jeremiah Buys a Fieldο λογος ο γενομενος παρα κυριου προς ιερεμιαν εν τω ενιαυτω τω δεκατω τω βασιλει σεδεκια ουτος ενιαυτος οκτωκαιδεκατος τω βασιλει ναβουχοδονοσορ βασιλει βαβυλωνοςַדָּבָ֞ר אֲשֶׁר־הָיָ֤ה אֶֽל־יִרְמְיָ֙הוּ֙ מֵאֵ֣ת יְהוָ֔ה *בשנת **בַּשָּׁנָה֙ הָעֲשִׂרִ֔ית לְצִדְקִיָּ֖הוּ מֶ֣לֶךְ יְהוּדָ֑ה הִ֧יא הַשָּׁנָ֛ה שְׁמֹנֶֽה־עֶשְׂרֵ֥ה שָׁנָ֖ה לִנְבֽוּכַדְרֶאצַּֽר׃ The word that came to Jeremiah from the LORD in the tenth year of Zedekiah king of Judah, which was the eighteenth year of Nebuchadrezzar. |

| 2 | και δυναμις βασιλεως βαβυλωνος εχαρακωσεν επι ιερουσαλημ και ιερεμιας εφυλασσετο εν αυλη της φυλακης η εστιν εν οικω του βασιλεως ְאָ֗ז חֵ֚יל מֶ֣לֶךְ בָּבֶ֔ל צָרִ֖ים עַל־יְרוּשָׁלָ֑͏ִם וְיִרְמְיָ֣הוּ הַנָּבִ֗יא הָיָ֤ה כָלוּא֙ בַּחֲצַ֣ר הַמַּטָּרָ֔ה אֲשֶׁ֖ר בֵּֽית־מֶ֥לֶךְ יְהוּדָֽה׃ For then the king of Babylon's army besieged Jerusalem: and Jeremiah the prophet was shut up in the court of the prison, which was in the king of Judah's house. |
| 3 | εν η κατεκλεισεν αυτον ο βασιλευς σεδεκιας λεγων δια τι συ προφητευεις λεγων ουτως ειπεν κυριος ιδου εγω διδωμι την πολιν ταυτην εν χερσιν βασιλεως βαβυλωνος και λημψεται αυτην ֲשֶׁ֣ר כְּלָא֔וֹ צִדְקִיָּ֥הוּ מֶֽלֶךְ־יְהוּדָ֖ה לֵאמֹ֑ר מַדּוּעַ֩ אַתָּ֨ה נִבָּ֜א לֵאמֹ֗ר כֹּ֚ה אָמַ֣ר יְהוָ֔ה הִנְנִ֨י נֹתֵ֜ן אֶת־הָעִ֥יר הַזֹּ֛את בְּיַ֥ד מֶֽלֶךְ־בָּבֶ֖ל וּלְכָדָֽהּ׃ For Zedekiah king of Judah had shut him up, saying, Wherefore do you prophesy, and say, Thus says the LORD, Behold, I will give this city into the hand of the king of Babylon, and he shall take it; |
| 4 | και σεδεκιας ου μη σωθη εκ χειρος των χαλδαιων οτι παραδοσει παραδοθησεται εις χειρας βασιλεως βαβυλωνος και λαλησει στομα αυτου προς στομα αυτου και οι οφθαλμοι αυτου τους οφθαλμους αυτου οψονται ְצִדְקִיָּ֙הוּ֙ מֶ֣לֶךְ יְהוּדָ֔ה לֹ֥א יִמָּלֵ֖ט מִיַּ֣ד הַכַּשְׂדִּ֑ים כִּ֣י הִנָּתֹ֤ן יִנָּתֵן֙ בְּיַ֣ד מֶֽלֶךְ־בָּבֶ֔ל וְדִבֶּר־פִּ֣יו עִם־פִּ֔יו וְעֵינָ֖יו אֶת־*עינו **עֵינָ֥יו תִּרְאֶֽינָה׃ And Zedekiah king of Judah shall not escape out of the hand of the Chaldeans, but shall surely be delivered into the hand of the king of Babylon, and shall speak with him mouth to mouth, and his eyes shall behold his eyes; |
| 5 | και εισελευσεται σεδεκιας εις βαβυλωνα και εκει καθιειται ּבָבֶ֞ל יוֹלִ֤ךְ אֶת־צִדְקִיָּ֙הוּ֙ וְשָׁ֣ם יִֽהְיֶ֔ה עַד־פָּקְדִ֥י אֹת֖וֹ נְאֻם־יְהוָ֑ה כִּ֧י תִֽלָּחֲמ֛וּ אֶת־הַכַּשְׂדִּ֖ים לֹ֥א תַצְלִֽיחוּ׃ פ And he shall lead Zedekiah to Babylon, and there shall he be until I visit him, says the LORD: though all of you fight with the Chaldeans, all of you shall not prosper. |
| 6 | και λογος κυριου εγενηθη προς ιερεμιαν λεγων ַיֹּ֖אמֶר יִרְמְיָ֑הוּ הָיָ֥ה דְּבַר־יְהוָ֖ה אֵלַ֥י לֵאמֹֽר׃ And Jeremiah said, The word of the LORD came unto me, saying, |
| 7 | ιδου αναμεηλ υιος σαλωμ αδελφου πατρος σου ερχεται προς σε λεγων κτησαι σεαυτω τον αγρον μου τον εν αναθωθ οτι σοι κριμα παραλαβειν εις κτησιν ִנֵּ֣ה חֲנַמְאֵ֗ל בֶּן־שַׁלֻּם֙ דֹּֽדְךָ֔ בָּ֥א אֵלֶ֖יךָ לֵאמֹ֑ר קְנֵ֣ה לְךָ֗ אֶת־שָׂדִי֙ אֲשֶׁ֣ר בַּעֲנָת֔וֹת כִּ֥י לְךָ֛ מִשְׁפַּ֥ט הַגְּאֻלָּ֖ה לִקְנֽוֹת׃ Behold, Hanameel the son of Shallum yours uncle shall come unto you saying, Buy you my field that is in Anathoth: for the right of redemption is yours to buy it. |
| 8 | και ηλθεν προς με αναμεηλ υιος σαλωμ αδελφου πατρος μου εις την αυλην της φυλακης και ειπεν μοι κτησαι τον αγρον μου τον εν γη βενιαμιν τον εν αναθωθ οτι σοι κριμα κτησασθαι και συ πρεσβυτερος και εγνων οτι λογος κυριου εστιν ַיָּבֹ֣א אֵ֠לַי חֲנַמְאֵ֨ל בֶּן־דֹּדִ֜י כִּדְבַ֣ר יְהוָה֮ אֶל־חֲצַ֣ר הַמַּטָּרָה֒ וַיֹּ֣אמֶר אֵלַ֡י קְנֵ֣ה נָ֠א אֶת־שָׂדִ֨י אֲשֶׁר־בַּעֲנָת֜וֹת אֲשֶׁ֣ר ׀ בְּאֶ֣רֶץ בִּנְיָמִ֗ין כִּֽי־לְךָ֞ מִשְׁפַּ֧ט הַיְרֻשָּׁ֛ה וּלְךָ֥ הַגְּאֻלָּ֖ה קְנֵה־לָ֑ךְ וָאֵדַ֕ע כִּ֥י דְבַר־יְהוָ֖ה הֽוּא׃ So Hanameel mine uncle's son came to me in the court of the prison according to the word of the LORD, and said unto me, Buy my field, I pray you, that is in Anathoth, which is in the country of Benjamin: for the right of inheritance is yours, and the redemption is yours; buy it for yourself. Then I knew that this was the word of the LORD. |
| 9 | και εκτησαμην τον αγρον αναμεηλ υιου αδελφου πατρος μου και εστησα αυτω επτα σικλους και δεκα αργυριου ָֽאֶקְנֶה֙ אֶת־הַשָּׂדֶ֔ה מֵאֵ֛ת חֲנַמְאֵ֥ל בֶּן־דֹּדִ֖י אֲשֶׁ֣ר בַּעֲנָת֑וֹת וָֽאֶשְׁקֲלָה־לּוֹ֙ אֶת־הַכֶּ֔סֶף שִׁבְעָ֥ה שְׁקָלִ֖ים וַעֲשָׂרָ֥ה הַכָּֽסֶף׃ And I bought the field of Hanameel my uncle's son, that was in Anathoth, and weighed him the money, even seventeen shekels of silver. |
| 10 | και εγραψα εις βιβλιον και εσφραγισαμην και διεμαρτυραμην μαρτυρας και εστησα το αργυριον εν ζυγω ָאֶכְתֹּ֤ב בַּסֵּ֙פֶר֙ וָֽאֶחְתֹּ֔ם וָאָעֵ֖ד עֵדִ֑ים וָאֶשְׁקֹ֥ל הַכֶּ֖סֶף בְּמֹאזְנָֽיִם׃ And I subscribed the evidence, and sealed it, and took witnesses, and weighed him the money in the balances. |
| 11 | και ελαβον το βιβλιον της κτησεως το εσφραγισμενον και το ανεγνωσμενον ָאֶקַּ֖ח אֶת־סֵ֣פֶר הַמִּקְנָ֑ה אֶת־הֶֽחָת֛וּם הַמִּצְוָ֥ה וְהַחֻקִּ֖ים וְאֶת־הַגָּלֽוּי׃ So I took the evidence of the purchase, both that which was sealed according to the law and custom, and that which was open: |
| 12 | και εδωκα αυτο τω βαρουχ υιω νηριου υιου μαασαιου κατ οφθαλμους αναμεηλ υιου αδελφου πατρος μου και κατ οφθαλμους των εστηκοτων και γραφοντων εν τω βιβλιω της κτησεως και κατ οφθαλμους των ιουδαιων των εν τη αυλη της φυλακης ָאֶתֵּ֞ן אֶת־הַסֵּ֣פֶר הַמִּקְנָ֗ה אֶל־בָּר֣וּךְ בֶּן־נֵרִיָּה֮ בֶּן־מַחְסֵיָה֒ לְעֵינֵי֙ חֲנַמְאֵ֣ל דֹּדִ֔י וּלְעֵינֵי֙ הָֽעֵדִ֔ים הַכֹּתְבִ֖ים בְּסֵ֣פֶר הַמִּקְנָ֑ה לְעֵינֵי֙ כָּל־הַיְּהוּדִ֔ים הַיֹּשְׁבִ֖ים בַּחֲצַ֥ר הַמַּטָּרָֽה׃ And I gave the evidence of the purchase unto Baruch the son of Neriah, the son of Maaseiah, in the sight of Hanameel mine uncle's son, and in the presence of the witnesses that subscribed the book of the purchase, before all the Jews that sat in the court of the prison. |
| 13 | και συνεταξα τω βαρουχ κατ οφθαλμους αυτων λεγων ֽ͏ָאֲצַוֶּה֙ אֶת בָּר֔וּךְ לְעֵינֵיהֶ֖ם לֵאמֹֽר׃ And I charged Baruch before them, saying, |
| 14 | ουτως ειπεν κυριος παντοκρατωρ λαβε το βιβλιον της κτησεως τουτο και το βιβλιον το ανεγνωσμενον και θησεις αυτο εις αγγειον οστρακινον ινα διαμεινη ημερας πλειους ֹּֽה־אָמַר֩ יְהוָ֨ה צְבָא֜וֹת אֱלֹהֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֗ל לָק֣וֹחַ אֶת־הַסְּפָרִ֣ים הָאֵ֡לֶּה אֵ֣ת סֵפֶר֩ הַמִּקְנָ֨ה הַזֶּ֜ה וְאֵ֣ת הֶחָת֗וּם וְאֵ֨ת סֵ֤פֶר הַגָּלוּי֙ הַזֶּ֔ה וּנְתַתָּ֖ם בִּכְלִי־חָ֑רֶשׂ לְמַ֥עַן יַעַמְד֖וּ יָמִ֥ים רַבִּֽים׃ ס Thus says the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Take these evidences, this evidence of the purchase, both which is sealed, and this evidence which is open; and put them in an earthen vessel, that they may continue many days. |
| 15 | οτι ουτως ειπεν κυριος ετι κτηθησονται αγροι και οικιαι και αμπελωνες εν τη γη ταυτη ִּ֣י כֹ֥ה אָמַ֛ר יְהוָ֥ה צְבָא֖וֹת אֱלֹהֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל ע֣וֹד יִקָּנ֥וּ בָתִּ֛ים וְשָׂד֥וֹת וּכְרָמִ֖ים בָּאָ֥רֶץ הַזֹּֽאת׃ פ For thus says the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Houses and fields and vineyards shall be possessed again in this land. |
| 16 | και προσευξαμην προς κυριον μετα το δουναι με το βιβλιον της κτησεως προς βαρουχ υιον νηριου λεγων ָאֶתְפַּלֵּ֖ל אֶל־יְהוָ֑ה אַחֲרֵ֤י תִתִּי֙ אֶת־סֵ֣פֶר הַמִּקְנָ֔ה אֶל־בָּר֥וּךְ בֶּן־נֵרִיָּ֖ה לֵאמֹֽר׃ Now when I had delivered the evidence of the purchase unto Baruch the son of Neriah, I prayed unto the LORD, saying, |
| 17 | ω κυριε συ εποιησας τον ουρανον και την γην τη ισχυι σου τη μεγαλη και τω βραχιονι σου τω υψηλω και τω μετεωρω ου μη αποκρυβη απο σου ουθεν ֲהָהּ֮ אֲדֹנָ֣י יְהוִה֒ הִנֵּ֣ה ׀ אַתָּ֣ה עָשִׂ֗יתָ אֶת־הַשָּׁמַ֙יִם֙ וְאֶת־הָאָ֔רֶץ בְּכֹֽחֲךָ֙ הַגָּד֔וֹל וּבִֽזְרֹעֲךָ֖ הַנְּטוּיָ֑ה לֹֽא־יִפָּלֵ֥א מִמְּךָ֖ כָּל־דָּבָֽר׃ Ah Lord GOD! behold, you have made the heaven and the earth by your great power and stretched out arm, and there is nothing too hard for you: |
| 18 | ποιων ελεος εις χιλιαδας και αποδιδους αμαρτιας πατερων εις κολπους τεκνων αυτων μετ αυτους ο θεος ο μεγας και ισχυρος ֹ֤שֶׂה חֶ֙סֶד֙ לַֽאֲלָפִ֔ים וּמְשַׁלֵּם֙ עֲוֺ֣ן אָב֔וֹת אֶל־חֵ֥יק בְּנֵיהֶ֖ם אַחֲרֵיהֶ֑ם הָאֵ֤ל הַגָּדוֹל֙ הַגִּבּ֔וֹר יְהוָ֥ה צְבָא֖וֹת שְׁמֽוֹ׃ You show loving kindness unto thousands, and recompence the iniquity of the fathers into the bosom of their children after them: the Great, the Mighty God, the LORD of hosts, is his name, |
| 19 | κυριος μεγαλης βουλης και δυνατος τοις εργοις ο θεος ο μεγας ο παντοκρατωρ και μεγαλωνυμος κυριος οι οφθαλμοι σου εις τας οδους των υιων των ανθρωπων δουναι εκαστω κατα την οδον αυτου ְּדֹל֙ הָֽעֵצָ֔ה וְרַ֖ב הָעֲלִֽילִיָּ֑ה אֲשֶׁר־עֵינֶ֣יךָ פְקֻח֗וֹת עַל־כָּל־דַּרְכֵי֙ בְּנֵ֣י אָדָ֔ם לָתֵ֤ת לְאִישׁ֙ כִּדְרָכָ֔יו וְכִפְרִ֖י מַעֲלָלָֽיו׃ Great in counsel, and mighty in work: for yours eyes are open upon all the ways of the sons of men: to give every one according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings: |
| 20 | ος εποιησας σημεια και τερατα εν γη αιγυπτω εως της ημερας ταυτης και εν ισραηλ και εν τοις γηγενεσιν και εποιησας σεαυτω ονομα ως η ημερα αυτη ֲשֶׁר־שַׂ֠מְתָּ אֹת֨וֹת וּמֹפְתִ֤ים בְּאֶֽרֶץ־מִצְרַ֙יִם֙ עַד־הַיּ֣וֹם הַזֶּ֔ה וּבְיִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל וּבָֽאָדָ֑ם וַתַּעֲשֶׂה־לְּךָ֥ שֵׁ֖ם כַּיּ֥וֹם הַזֶּֽה׃ Which have set signs and wonders in the land of Egypt, even unto this day, and in Israel, and among other men; and have made you a name, as at this day; |
| 21 | και εξηγαγες τον λαον σου ισραηλ εκ γης αιγυπτου εν σημειοις και εν τερασιν και εν χειρι κραταια και εν βραχιονι υψηλω και εν οραμασιν μεγαλοις ַתֹּצֵ֛א אֶת־עַמְּךָ֥ אֶת־יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל מֵאֶ֣רֶץ מִצְרָ֑יִם בְּאֹת֣וֹת וּבְמוֹפְתִ֗ים וּבְיָ֤ד חֲזָקָה֙ וּבְאֶזְר֣וֹעַ נְטוּיָ֔ה וּבְמוֹרָ֖א גָּדֽוֹל׃ And have brought forth your people Israel out of the land of Egypt with signs, and with wonders, and with a strong hand, and with a stretched out arm, and with great terror; |
| 22 | και εδωκας αυτοις την γην ταυτην ην ωμοσας τοις πατρασιν αυτων γην ρεουσαν γαλα και μελι ַתִּתֵּ֤ן לָהֶם֙ אֶת־הָאָ֣רֶץ הַזֹּ֔את אֲשֶׁר־נִשְׁבַּ֥עְתָּ לַאֲבוֹתָ֖ם לָתֵ֣ת לָהֶ֑ם אֶ֛רֶץ זָבַ֥ת חָלָ֖ב וּדְבָֽשׁ׃ And have given them this land, which you did swear to their fathers to give them, a land flowing with milk and honey; |
| 23 | και εισηλθοσαν και ελαβοσαν αυτην και ουκ ηκουσαν της φωνης σου και εν τοις προσταγμασιν σου ουκ επορευθησαν απαντα α ενετειλω αυτοις ουκ εποιησαν και εποιησας συμβηναι αυτοις παντα τα κακα ταυτα ַיָּבֹ֜אוּ וַיִּֽרְשׁ֣וּ אֹתָ֗הּ וְלֹֽא־שָׁמְע֤וּ בְקוֹלֶ֙ךָ֙ *ובתרותך **וּבְתוֹרָתְךָ֣ לֹא־הָלָ֔כוּ אֵת֩ כָּל־אֲשֶׁ֨ר צִוִּ֧יתָה לָהֶ֛ם לַעֲשׂ֖וֹת לֹ֣א עָשׂ֑וּ וַתַּקְרֵ֣א אֹתָ֔ם אֵ֥ת כָּל־הָרָעָ֖ה הַזֹּֽאת׃ And they came in, and possessed it; but they obeyed not your voice, neither walked in your law; they have done nothing of all that you commandedst them to do: therefore you have caused all this evil to come upon them: |
| 24 | ιδου οχλος ηκει εις την πολιν ταυτην συλλαβειν αυτην και η πολις εδοθη εις χειρας χαλδαιων των πολεμουντων αυτην απο προσωπου μαχαιρας και του λιμου ως ελαλησας ουτως εγενετο ִנֵּ֣ה הַסֹּלְל֗וֹת בָּ֣אוּ הָעִיר֮ לְלָכְדָהּ֒ וְהָעִ֣יר נִתְּנָ֗ה בְּיַ֤ד הַכַּשְׂדִּים֙ הַנִּלְחָמִ֣ים עָלֶ֔יהָ מִפְּנֵ֛י הַחֶ֥רֶב וְהָרָעָ֖ב וְהַדָּ֑בֶר וַאֲשֶׁ֥ר דִּבַּ֛רְתָּ הָיָ֖ה וְהִנְּךָ֥ רֹאֶֽה׃ Behold the mounts, they are come unto the city to take it; and the city is given into the hand of the Chaldeans, that fight against it, because of the sword, and of the famine, and of the pestilence: and what you have spoken has come to pass; and, behold, you see it. |
| 25 | και συ λεγεις προς με κτησαι σεαυτω αγρον αργυριου και εγραψα βιβλιον και εσφραγισαμην και επεμαρτυραμην μαρτυρας και η πολις εδοθη εις χειρας χαλδαιων ְאַתָּ֞ה אָמַ֤רְתָּ אֵלַי֙ אֲדֹנָ֣י יְהוִ֔ה קְנֵֽה־לְךָ֧ הַשָּׂדֶ֛ה בַּכֶּ֖סֶף וְהָעֵ֣ד עֵדִ֑ים וְהָעִ֥יר נִתְּנָ֖ה בְּיַ֥ד הַכַּשְׂדִּֽים׃ And you have said unto me, O Lord GOD, Buy you the field for money, and take witnesses; for the city is given into the hand of the Chaldeans. |
| 26 | και εγενετο λογος κυριου προς με λεγων ַיְהִי֙ דְּבַר־יְהוָ֔ה אֶֽל־יִרְמְיָ֖הוּ לֵאמֹֽר׃ Then came the word of the LORD unto Jeremiah, saying, |
| 27 | εγω κυριος ο θεος πασης σαρκος μη απ εμου κρυβησεται τι ִנֵּה֙ אֲנִ֣י יְהוָ֔ה אֱלֹהֵ֖י כָּל־בָּשָׂ֑ר הֲֽמִמֶּ֔נִּי יִפָּלֵ֖א כָּל־דָּבָֽר׃ Behold, I am the LORD, the God of all flesh: is there any thing too hard for me? |
| 28 | δια τουτο ουτως ειπεν κυριος ο θεος ισραηλ δοθεισα παραδοθησεται η πολις αυτη εις χειρας βασιλεως βαβυλωνος και λημψεται αυτην ָכֵ֕ן כֹּ֖ה אָמַ֣ר יְהוָ֑ה הִנְנִ֣י נֹתֵן֩ אֶת־הָעִ֨יר הַזֹּ֜את בְּיַ֣ד הַכַּשְׂדִּ֗ים וּבְיַ֛ד נְבֽוּכַדְרֶאצַּ֥ר מֶֽלֶךְ־בָּבֶ֖ל וּלְכָדָֽהּ׃ Therefore thus says the LORD; Behold, I will give this city into the hand of the Chaldeans, and into the hand of Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon, and he shall take it: |
| 29 | και ηξουσιν οι χαλδαιοι πολεμουντες επι την πολιν ταυτην και καυσουσιν την πολιν ταυτην εν πυρι και κατακαυσουσιν τας οικιας εν αις εθυμιωσαν επι των δωματων αυτων τη βααλ και εσπενδον σπονδας θεοις ετεροις προς το παραπικραναι με ּבָ֣אוּ הַכַּשְׂדִּ֗ים הַנִּלְחָמִים֙ עַל־הָעִ֣יר הַזֹּ֔את וְהִצִּ֜יתוּ אֶת־הָעִ֥יר הַזֹּ֛את בָּאֵ֖שׁ וּשְׂרָפ֑וּהָ וְאֵ֣ת הַבָּתִּ֡ים אֲשֶׁר֩ קִטְּר֨וּ עַל־גַּגּֽוֹתֵיהֶ֜ם לַבַּ֗עַל וְהִסִּ֤כוּ נְסָכִים֙ לֵאלֹהִ֣ים אֲחֵרִ֔ים לְמַ֖עַן הַכְעִסֵֽנִי׃ And the Chaldeans, that fight against this city, shall come and set fire on this city, and burn it with the houses, upon whose roofs they have offered incense unto Baal, and poured out drink offerings unto other gods, to provoke me to anger. |
| 30 | οτι ησαν οι υιοι ισραηλ και οι υιοι ιουδα μονοι ποιουντες το πονηρον κατ οφθαλμους μου εκ νεοτητος αυτων ִּֽי־הָי֨וּ בְנֵֽי־יִשְׂרָאֵ֜ל וּבְנֵ֣י יְהוּדָ֗ה אַ֣ךְ עֹשִׂ֥ים הָרַ֛ע בְּעֵינַ֖י מִנְּעֻרֹֽתֵיהֶ֑ם כִּ֣י בְנֵֽי־יִשְׂרָאֵ֗ל אַ֣ךְ מַכְעִסִ֥ים אֹתִ֛י בְּמַעֲשֵׂ֥ה יְדֵיהֶ֖ם נְאֻם־יְהוָֽה׃ For the children of Israel and the children of Judah have only done evil before me from their youth: for the children of Israel have only provoked me to anger with the work of their hands, says the LORD. |
| 31 | οτι επι την οργην μου και επι τον θυμον μου ην η πολις αυτη αφ ης ημερας ωκοδομησαν αυτην και εως της ημερας ταυτης απαλλαξαι αυτην απο προσωπου μου ִּ֧י עַל־אַפִּ֣י וְעַל־חֲמָתִ֗י הָ֤יְתָה לִּי֙ הָעִ֣יר הַזֹּ֔את לְמִן־הַיּוֹם֙ אֲשֶׁ֣ר בָּנ֣וּ אוֹתָ֔הּ וְעַ֖ד הַיּ֣וֹם הַזֶּ֑ה לַהֲסִירָ֖הּ מֵעַ֥ל פָּנָֽי׃ For this city has been to me as a provocation of mine anger and of my fury from the day that they built it even unto this day; that I should remove it from before my face, |
| 32 | δια πασας τας πονηριας των υιων ισραηλ και ιουδα ων εποιησαν πικραναι με αυτοι και οι βασιλεις αυτων και οι αρχοντες αυτων και οι ιερεις αυτων και οι προφηται αυτων ανδρες ιουδα και οι κατοικουντες ιερουσαλημ ַל֩ כָּל־רָעַ֨ת בְּנֵֽי־יִשְׂרָאֵ֜ל וּבְנֵ֣י יְהוּדָ֗ה אֲשֶׁ֤ר עָשׂוּ֙ לְהַכְעִסֵ֔נִי הֵ֤מָּה מַלְכֵיהֶם֙ שָֽׂרֵיהֶ֔ם כֹּהֲנֵיהֶ֖ם וּנְבִֽיאֵיהֶ֑ם וְאִ֣ישׁ יְהוּדָ֔ה וְיֹשְׁבֵ֖י יְרוּשָׁלָֽ͏ִם׃ Because of all the evil of the children of Israel and of the children of Judah, which they have done to provoke me to anger, they, their kings, their princes, their priests, and their prophets, and the men of Judah, and the inhabitants of Jerusalem. |
| 33 | και επεστρεψαν προς με νωτον και ου προσωπον και εδιδαξα αυτους ορθρου και εδιδαξα και ουκ ηκουσαν επιλαβειν παιδειαν ַיִּפְנ֥וּ אֵלַ֛י עֹ֖רֶף וְלֹ֣א פָנִ֑ים וְלַמֵּ֤ד אֹתָם֙ הַשְׁכֵּ֣ם וְלַמֵּ֔ד וְאֵינָ֥ם שֹׁמְעִ֖ים לָקַ֥חַת מוּסָֽר׃ And they have turned unto me the back, and not the face: though I taught them, rising up early and teaching them, yet they have not hearkened to receive instruction. |
| 34 | και εθηκαν τα μιασματα αυτων εν τω οικω ου επεκληθη το ονομα μου επ αυτω εν ακαθαρσιαις αυτων ַיָּשִׂ֣ימוּ שִׁקּֽוּצֵיהֶ֗ם בַּבַּ֛יִת אֲשֶׁר־נִקְרָֽא־שְׁמִ֥י עָלָ֖יו לְטַמְּאֽוֹ׃ But they set their abominations in the house, which is called by my name, to defile it. |
| 35 | και ωκοδομησαν τους βωμους τη βααλ τους εν φαραγγι υιου εννομ του αναφερειν τους υιους αυτων και τας θυγατερας αυτων τω μολοχ βασιλει α ου συνεταξα αυτοις και ουκ ανεβη επι καρδιαν μου του ποιησαι το βδελυγμα τουτο προς το εφαμαρτειν τον ιουδαν ַיִּבְנוּ֩ אֶת־בָּמ֨וֹת הַבַּ֜עַל אֲשֶׁ֣ר ׀ בְּגֵ֣יא בֶן־הִנֹּ֗ם לְ֠הַעֲבִיר אֶת־בְּנֵיהֶ֣ם וְאֶת־בְּנוֹתֵיהֶם֮ לַמֹּלֶךְ֒ אֲשֶׁ֣ר לֹֽא־צִוִּיתִ֗ים וְלֹ֤א עָֽלְתָה֙ עַל־לִבִּ֔י לַעֲשׂ֖וֹת הַתּוֹעֵבָ֣ה הַזֹּ֑את לְמַ֖עַן *החטי **הַחֲטִ֥יא אֶת־יְהוּדָֽה׃ ס And they built the high places of Baal, which are in the valley of the son of Hinnom, to cause their sons and their daughters to pass through the fire unto Molech; which I commanded them not, neither came it into my mind, that they should do this abomination, to cause Judah to sin. |
| 36 | και νυν ουτως ειπεν κυριος ο θεος ισραηλ επι την πολιν ην συ λεγεις παραδοθησεται εις χειρας βασιλεως βαβυλωνος εν μαχαιρα και εν λιμω και εν αποστολη ְעַתָּ֕ה לָכֵ֛ן כֹּֽה־אָמַ֥ר יְהוָ֖ה אֱלֹהֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל אֶל־הָעִ֨יר הַזֹּ֜את אֲשֶׁ֣ר ׀ אַתֶּ֣ם אֹמְרִ֗ים נִתְּנָה֙ בְּיַ֣ד מֶֽלֶךְ־בָּבֶ֔ל בַּחֶ֖רֶב וּבָרָעָ֥ב וּבַדָּֽבֶר׃ And now therefore thus says the LORD, the God of Israel, concerning this city, whereof all of you say, It shall be delivered into the hand of the king of Babylon by the sword, and by the famine, and by the pestilence; |
| 37 | ιδου εγω συναγω αυτους εκ πασης της γης ου διεσπειρα αυτους εκει εν οργη μου και τω θυμω μου και παροξυσμω μεγαλω και επιστρεψω αυτους εις τον τοπον τουτον και καθιω αυτους πεποιθοτας ִנְנִ֤י מְקַבְּצָם֙ מִכָּל־הָ֣אֲרָצ֔וֹת אֲשֶׁ֨ר הִדַּחְתִּ֥ים שָׁ֛ם בְּאַפִּ֥י וּבַחֲמָתִ֖י וּבְקֶ֣צֶף גָּד֑וֹל וַהֲשִֽׁבֹתִים֙ אֶל־הַמָּק֣וֹם הַזֶּ֔ה וְהֹשַׁבְתִּ֖ים לָבֶֽטַח׃ Behold, I will gather them out of all countries, where I have driven them in mine anger, and in my fury, and in great wrath; and I will bring them again unto this place, and I will cause them to dwell safely: |
| 38 | και εσονται μοι εις λαον και εγω εσομαι αυτοις εις θεον ְהָ֥יוּ לִ֖י לְעָ֑ם וַאֲנִ֕י אֶהְיֶ֥ה לָהֶ֖ם לֵאלֹהִֽים׃ And they shall be my people, and I will be their God: |
| 39 | και δωσω αυτοις οδον ετεραν και καρδιαν ετεραν φοβηθηναι με πασας τας ημερας εις αγαθον αυτοις και τοις τεκνοις αυτων μετ αυτους ְנָתַתִּ֨י לָהֶ֜ם לֵ֤ב אֶחָד֙ וְדֶ֣רֶךְ אֶחָ֔ד לְיִרְאָ֥ה אוֹתִ֖י כָּל־הַיָּמִ֑ים לְט֣וֹב לָהֶ֔ם וְלִבְנֵיהֶ֖ם אַחֲרֵיהֶֽם׃ And I will give them one heart, and one way, that they may fear me for ever, for the good of them, and of their children after them: |
| 40 | και διαθησομαι αυτοις διαθηκην αιωνιαν ην ου μη αποστρεψω οπισθεν αυτων και τον φοβον μου δωσω εις την καρδιαν αυτων προς το μη αποστηναι αυτους απ εμου ְכָרַתִּ֤י לָהֶם֙ בְּרִ֣ית עוֹלָ֔ם אֲשֶׁ֤ר לֹֽא־אָשׁוּב֙ מֵאַ֣חֲרֵיהֶ֔ם לְהֵיטִיבִ֖י אוֹתָ֑ם וְאֶת־יִרְאָתִי֙ אֶתֵּ֣ן בִּלְבָבָ֔ם לְבִלְתִּ֖י ס֥וּר מֵעָלָֽי׃ And I will make an everlasting covenant with them, that I will not turn away from them, to do them good; but I will put my fear in their hearts, that they shall not depart from me. |
| 41 | και επισκεψομαι του αγαθωσαι αυτους και φυτευσω αυτους εν τη γη ταυτη εν πιστει και εν παση καρδια και εν παση ψυχη ְשַׂשְׂתִּ֥י עֲלֵיהֶ֖ם לְהֵטִ֣יב אוֹתָ֑ם וּנְטַעְתִּ֞ים בָּאָ֤רֶץ הַזֹּאת֙ בֶּאֱמֶ֔ת בְּכָל־לִבִּ֖י וּבְכָל־נַפְשִֽׁי׃ ס Yea, I will rejoice over them to do them good, and I will plant them in this land assuredly with my whole heart and with my whole soul. |
| 42 | οτι ουτως ειπεν κυριος καθα επηγαγον επι τον λαον τουτον παντα τα κακα τα μεγαλα ταυτα ουτως εγω επαξω επ αυτους παντα τα αγαθα α ελαλησα επ αυτους ִּֽי־כֹה֙ אָמַ֣ר יְהוָ֔ה כַּאֲשֶׁ֤ר הֵבֵ֙אתִי֙ אֶל־הָעָ֣ם הַזֶּ֔ה אֵ֛ת כָּל־הָרָעָ֥ה הַגְּדוֹלָ֖ה הַזֹּ֑את כֵּ֣ן אָנֹכִ֞י מֵבִ֤יא עֲלֵיהֶם֙ אֶת־כָּל־הַטּוֹבָ֔ה אֲשֶׁ֥ר אָנֹכִ֖י דֹּבֵ֥ר עֲלֵיהֶֽם׃ For thus says the LORD; Like I have brought all this great evil upon this people, so will I bring upon them all the good that I have promised them. |
| 43 | και κτηθησονται ετι αγροι εν τη γη η συ λεγεις αβατος εστιν απο ανθρωπων και κτηνους και παρεδοθησαν εις χειρας χαλδαιων ְנִקְנָ֥ה הַשָּׂדֶ֖ה בָּאָ֣רֶץ הַזֹּ֑את אֲשֶׁ֣ר ׀ אַתֶּ֣ם אֹמְרִ֗ים שְׁמָמָ֥ה הִיא֙ מֵאֵ֤ין אָדָם֙ וּבְהֵמָ֔ה נִתְּנָ֖ה בְּיַ֥ד הַכַּשְׂדִּֽים׃ And fields shall be bought in this land, whereof all of you say, It is desolate without man or beast; it is given into the hand of the Chaldeans. |
| 44 | και κτησονται αγρους εν αργυριω και γραψεις βιβλιον και σφραγιη και διαμαρτυρη μαρτυρας εν γη βενιαμιν και κυκλω ιερουσαλημ και εν πολεσιν ιουδα και εν πολεσιν του ορους και εν πολεσιν της σεφηλα και εν πολεσιν της ναγεβ οτι αποστρεψω τας αποικιας αυτων ָׂד֞וֹת בַּכֶּ֣סֶף יִקְנ֗וּ וְכָת֨וֹב בַּסֵּ֥פֶר ׀ וְחָתוֹם֮ וְהָעֵ֣ד עֵדִים֒ בְּאֶ֨רֶץ בִּנְיָמִ֜ן וּבִסְבִיבֵ֣י יְרוּשָׁלִַ֗ם וּבְעָרֵ֤י יְהוּדָה֙ וּבְעָרֵ֣י הָהָ֔ר וּבְעָרֵ֥י הַשְּׁפֵלָ֖ה וּבְעָרֵ֣י הַנֶּ֑גֶב כִּֽי־אָשִׁ֥יב אֶת־שְׁבוּתָ֖ם נְאֻם־יְהוָֽה׃ פ Men shall buy fields for money, and subscribe evidences, and seal them, and take witnesses in the land of Benjamin, and in the places about Jerusalem, and in the cities of Judah, and in the cities of the mountains, and in the cities of the valley, and in the cities of the south: for I will cause their captivity to return, says the LORD. |
