| 1 | A Song of Praiseτη ημερα εκεινη ασονται το ασμα τουτο επι γης ιουδα λεγοντες ιδου πολις οχυρα και σωτηριον ημων θησει τειχος και περιτειχοςַּיּ֣וֹם הַה֔וּא יוּשַׁ֥ר הַשִּׁיר־הַזֶּ֖ה בְּאֶ֣רֶץ יְהוּדָ֑ה עִ֣יר עָז־לָ֔נוּ יְשׁוּעָ֥ה יָשִׁ֖ית חוֹמ֥וֹת וָחֵֽל׃ In that day shall this song be sung in the land of Judah; We have a strong city; salvation will God appoint for walls and bulwarks. |

| 2 | ανοιξατε πυλας εισελθατω λαος φυλασσων δικαιοσυνην και φυλασσων αληθειαν ִּתְח֖וּ שְׁעָרִ֑ים וְיָבֹ֥א גוֹי־צַדִּ֖יק שֹׁמֵ֥ר אֱמֻנִֽים׃ Open all of you the gates, that the righteous nation which keeps the truth may enter in. |
| 3 | αντιλαμβανομενος αληθειας και φυλασσων ειρηνην οτι επι σοι ֵ֣צֶר סָמ֔וּךְ תִּצֹּ֖ר שָׁל֣וֹם ׀ שָׁל֑וֹם כִּ֥י בְךָ֖ בָּטֽוּחַ׃ You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on you: because he trusts in you. |
| 4 | ηλπισαν κυριε εως του αιωνος ο θεος ο μεγας ο αιωνιος ִּטְח֥וּ בַֽיהוָ֖ה עֲדֵי־עַ֑ד כִּ֚י בְּיָ֣הּ יְהוָ֔ה צ֖וּר עוֹלָמִֽים׃ Trust all of you in the LORD for ever: for in the LORD JEHOVAH is everlasting strength: |
| 5 | ος ταπεινωσας κατηγαγες τους ενοικουντας εν υψηλοις πολεις οχυρας καταβαλεις και καταξεις εως εδαφους ִּ֤י הֵשַׁח֙ יֹשְׁבֵ֣י מָר֔וֹם קִרְיָ֖ה נִשְׂגָּבָ֑ה יַשְׁפִּילֶ֤נָּה יַשְׁפִּילָהּ֙ עַד־אֶ֔רֶץ יַגִּיעֶ֖נָּה עַד־עָפָֽר׃ For he brings down them that dwell on high; the lofty city, he lays it low; he lays it low, even to the ground; he brings it even to the dust. |
| 6 | και πατησουσιν αυτους ποδες πραεων και ταπεινων ִּרְמְסֶ֖נָּה רָ֑גֶל רַגְלֵ֥י עָנִ֖י פַּעֲמֵ֥י דַלִּֽים׃ The foot shall tread it down, even the feet of the poor, and the steps of the needy. |
| 7 | οδος ευσεβων ευθεια εγενετο και παρεσκευασμενη η οδος των ευσεβων ֹ֥רַח לַצַּדִּ֖יק מֵֽישָׁרִ֑ים יָשָׁ֕ר מַעְגַּ֥ל צַדִּ֖יק תְּפַלֵּֽס׃ The way of the just is uprightness: you, most upright, do weigh the path of the just. |
| 8 | η γαρ οδος κυριου κρισις ηλπισαμεν επι τω ονοματι σου και επι τη μνεια ַ֣ף אֹ֧רַח מִשְׁפָּטֶ֛יךָ יְהוָ֖ה קִוִּינ֑וּךָ לְשִׁמְךָ֥ וּֽלְזִכְרְךָ֖ תַּאֲוַת־נָֽפֶשׁ׃ Yea, in the way of your judgments, O LORD, have we waited for you; the desire of our soul is to your name, and to the remembrance of you. |
| 9 | η επιθυμει η ψυχη ημων εκ νυκτος ορθριζει το πνευμα μου προς σε ο θεος διοτι φως τα προσταγματα σου επι της γης δικαιοσυνην μαθετε οι ενοικουντες επι της γης ַפְשִׁ֤י אִוִּיתִ֙יךָ֙ בַּלַּ֔יְלָה אַף־רוּחִ֥י בְקִרְבִּ֖י אֲשַֽׁחֲרֶ֑ךָּ כִּ֞י כַּאֲשֶׁ֤ר מִשְׁפָּטֶ֙יךָ֙ לָאָ֔רֶץ צֶ֥דֶק לָמְד֖וּ יֹשְׁבֵ֥י תֵבֵֽל׃ With my soul have I desired you in the night; yea, with my spirit within me will I seek you early: for when your judgments are in the earth, the inhabitants of the world will learn righteousness. |
| 10 | πεπαυται γαρ ο ασεβης ου μη μαθη δικαιοσυνην επι της γης αληθειαν ου μη ποιηση αρθητω ο ασεβης ινα μη ιδη την δοξαν κυριου ֻחַ֤ן רָשָׁע֙ בַּל־לָמַ֣ד צֶ֔דֶק בְּאֶ֥רֶץ נְכֹח֖וֹת יְעַוֵּ֑ל וּבַל־יִרְאֶ֖ה גֵּא֥וּת יְהוָֽה׃ ס Let favour be showed to the wicked, yet will he not learn righteousness: in the land of uprightness will he deal unjustly, and will not behold the majesty of the LORD. |
| 11 | κυριε υψηλος σου ο βραχιων και ουκ ηδεισαν γνοντες δε αισχυνθησονται ζηλος λημψεται λαον απαιδευτον και νυν πυρ τους υπεναντιους εδεται ְהוָ֛ה רָ֥מָה יָדְךָ֖ בַּל־יֶחֱזָי֑וּן יֶחֱז֤וּ וְיֵבֹ֙שׁוּ֙ קִנְאַת־עָ֔ם אַף־אֵ֖שׁ צָרֶ֥יךָ תֹאכְלֵֽם׃ ס LORD, when your hand is lifted up, they will not see: but they shall see, and be ashamed for their envy at the people; yea, the fire of yours enemies shall devour them. |
| 12 | κυριε ο θεος ημων ειρηνην δος ημιν παντα γαρ απεδωκας ημιν ְהוָ֕ה תִּשְׁפֹּ֥ת שָׁל֖וֹם לָ֑נוּ כִּ֛י גַּ֥ם כָּֽל־מַעֲשֵׂ֖ינוּ פָּעַ֥לְתָּ לָּֽנוּ׃ LORD, you will ordain peace for us: for you also have wrought all our works in us. |
| 13 | κυριε ο θεος ημων κτησαι ημας κυριε εκτος σου αλλον ουκ οιδαμεν το ονομα σου ονομαζομεν ְהוָ֣ה אֱלֹהֵ֔ינוּ בְּעָל֥וּנוּ אֲדֹנִ֖ים זֽוּלָתֶ֑ךָ לְבַד־בְּךָ֖ נַזְכִּ֥יר שְׁמֶֽךָ׃ O LORD our God, other lords beside you have had dominion over us: but by you only will we make mention of your name. |
| 14 | οι δε νεκροι ζωην ου μη ιδωσιν ουδε ιατροι ου μη αναστησωσιν δια τουτο επηγαγες και απωλεσας και ηρας παν αρσεν αυτων ֵתִים֙ בַּל־יִחְי֔וּ רְפָאִ֖ים בַּל־יָקֻ֑מוּ לָכֵ֤ן פָּקַ֙דְתָּ֙ וַתַּשְׁמִידֵ֔ם וַתְּאַבֵּ֥ד כָּל־זֵ֖כֶר לָֽמוֹ׃ They are dead, they shall not live; they are deceased, they shall not rise: therefore have you visited and destroyed them, and made all their memory to perish. |
| 15 | προσθες αυτοις κακα κυριε προσθες κακα πασιν τοις ενδοξοις της γης ָסַ֤פְתָּ לַגּוֹי֙ יְהוָ֔ה יָסַ֥פְתָּ לַגּ֖וֹי נִכְבָּ֑דְתָּ רִחַ֖קְתָּ כָּל־קַצְוֵי־אָֽרֶץ׃ You have increased the nation, O LORD, you have increased the nation: you are glorified: you had removed it far unto all the ends of the earth. |
| 16 | κυριε εν θλιψει εμνησθην σου εν θλιψει μικρα η παιδεια σου ημιν ְהוָ֖ה בַּצַּ֣ר פְּקָד֑וּךָ צָק֣וּן לַ֔חַשׁ מוּסָרְךָ֖ לָֽמוֹ׃ LORD, in trouble have they visited you, they poured out a prayer when your chastening was upon them. |
| 17 | και ως η ωδινουσα εγγιζει του τεκειν και επι τη ωδινι αυτης εκεκραξεν ουτως εγενηθημεν τω αγαπητω σου δια τον φοβον σου κυριε ְּמ֤וֹ הָרָה֙ תַּקְרִ֣יב לָלֶ֔דֶת תָּחִ֥יל תִּזְעַ֖ק בַּחֲבָלֶ֑יהָ כֵּ֛ן הָיִ֥ינוּ מִפָּנֶ֖יךָ יְהוָֽה׃ Like a woman with child, that draws near the time of her delivery, is in pain, and cries out in her pangs; so have we been in your sight, O LORD. |
| 18 | εν γαστρι ελαβομεν και ωδινησαμεν και ετεκομεν πνευμα σωτηριας σου εποιησαμεν επι της γης αλλα πεσουνται οι ενοικουντες επι της γης ָרִ֣ינוּ חַ֔לְנוּ כְּמ֖וֹ יָלַ֣דְנוּ ר֑וּחַ יְשׁוּעֹת֙ בַּל־נַ֣עֲשֶׂה אֶ֔רֶץ וּבַֽל־יִפְּל֖וּ יֹשְׁבֵ֥י תֵבֵֽל׃ We have been with child, we have been in pain, we have as it were brought forth wind; we have not wrought any deliverance in the earth; neither have the inhabitants of the world fallen. |
| 19 | αναστησονται οι νεκροι και εγερθησονται οι εν τοις μνημειοις και ευφρανθησονται οι εν τη γη η γαρ δροσος η παρα σου ιαμα αυτοις εστιν η δε γη των ασεβων πεσειται ִֽחְי֣וּ מֵתֶ֔יךָ נְבֵלָתִ֖י יְקוּמ֑וּן הָקִ֨יצוּ וְרַנְּנ֜וּ שֹׁכְנֵ֣י עָפָ֗ר כִּ֣י טַ֤ל אוֹרֹת֙ טַלֶּ֔ךָ וָאָ֖רֶץ רְפָאִ֥ים תַּפִּֽיל׃ ס Your dead men shall live, together with my dead body shall they arise. Awake and sing, all of you that dwell in dust: for your dew is as the dew of herbs, and the earth shall cast out the dead. |
| 20 | βαδιζε λαος μου εισελθε εις τα ταμιεια σου αποκλεισον την θυραν σου αποκρυβηθι μικρον οσον οσον εως αν παρελθη η οργη κυριου ֵ֤ךְ עַמִּי֙ בֹּ֣א בַחֲדָרֶ֔יךָ וּֽסְגֹ֥ר *דלתיך **דְּלָתְךָ֖ בַּעֲדֶ֑ךָ חֲבִ֥י כִמְעַט־רֶ֖גַע עַד־*יעבור־**יַעֲבָר־זָֽעַם׃ Come, my people, enter you into your chambers, and shut your doors about you: hide yourself as it were for a little moment, until the indignation pass over. |
| 21 | ιδου γαρ κυριος απο του αγιου επαγει την οργην επι τους ενοικουντας επι της γης και ανακαλυψει η γη το αιμα αυτης και ου κατακαλυψει τους ανηρημενους ִּֽי־הִנֵּ֤ה יְהוָה֙ יֹצֵ֣א מִמְּקוֹמ֔וֹ לִפְקֹ֛ד עֲוֺ֥ן יֹֽשֵׁב־הָאָ֖רֶץ עָלָ֑יו וְגִלְּתָ֤ה הָאָ֙רֶץ֙ אֶת־דָּמֶ֔יהָ וְלֹֽא־תְכַסֶּ֥ה ע֖וֹד עַל־הֲרוּגֶֽיהָ׃ ס For, behold, the LORD comes out of his place to punish the inhabitants of the earth for their iniquity: the earth also shall disclose her blood, and shall no more cover her slain. |
