| 2 | ησαυ δε ελαβεν γυναικας εαυτω απο των θυγατερων των χαναναιων την αδα θυγατερα αιλων του χετταιου και την ελιβεμα θυγατερα ανα του υιου σεβεγων του ευαιου ֵשָׂ֛ו לָקַ֥ח אֶת־נָשָׁ֖יו מִבְּנ֣וֹת כְּנָ֑עַן אֶת־עָדָ֗ה בַּת־אֵילוֹן֙ הַֽחִתִּ֔י וְאֶת־אָהֳלִֽיבָמָה֙ בַּת־עֲנָ֔ה בַּת־צִבְע֖וֹן הֽ͏ַחִוִּֽי׃ Esau took his wives of the daughters of Canaan; Adah the daughter of Elon the Hittite, and Aholibamah the daughter of Anah the daughter of Zibeon the Hivite; |
| 3 | και την βασεμμαθ θυγατερα ισμαηλ αδελφην ναβαιωθ ְאֶת־בָּשְׂמַ֥ת בַּת־יִשְׁמָעֵ֖אל אֲח֥וֹת נְבָיֽוֹת׃ And Bashemath Ishmael's daughter, sister of Nebajoth. |
| 4 | ετεκεν δε αδα τω ησαυ τον ελιφας και βασεμμαθ ετεκεν τον ραγουηλ ַתֵּ֧לֶד עָדָ֛ה לְעֵשָׂ֖ו אֶת־אֱלִיפָ֑ז וּבָ֣שְׂמַ֔ת יָלְדָ֖ה אֶת־רְעוּאֵֽל׃ And Adah bare to Esau Eliphaz; and Bashemath bare Reuel; |
| 5 | και ελιβεμα ετεκεν τον ιεους και τον ιεγλομ και τον κορε ουτοι υιοι ησαυ οι εγενοντο αυτω εν γη χανααν ְאָהֳלִֽיבָמָה֙ יָֽלְדָ֔ה אֶת־*יעיש **יְע֥וּשׁ וְאֶת־יַעְלָ֖ם וְאֶת־קֹ֑רַח אֵ֚לֶּה בְּנֵ֣י עֵשָׂ֔ו אֲשֶׁ֥ר יֻלְּדוּ־ל֖וֹ בְּאֶ֥רֶץ כְּנָֽעַן׃ And Aholibamah bare Jeush, and Jaalam, and Korah: these are the sons of Esau, which were born unto him in the land of Canaan. |
| 6 | ελαβεν δε ησαυ τας γυναικας αυτου και τους υιους και τας θυγατερας και παντα τα σωματα του οικου αυτου και παντα τα υπαρχοντα και παντα τα κτηνη και παντα οσα εκτησατο και οσα περιεποιησατο εν γη χανααν και επορευθη εκ γης χανααν απο προσωπου ιακωβ του αδελφου αυτου ַיִּקַּ֣ח עֵשָׂ֡ו אֶת־נָ֠שָׁיו וְאֶת־בָּנָ֣יו וְאֶת־בְּנֹתָיו֮ וְאֶת־כָּל־נַפְשׁ֣וֹת בֵּיתוֹ֒ וְאֶת־מִקְנֵ֣הוּ וְאֶת־כָּל־בְּהֶמְתּ֗וֹ וְאֵת֙ כָּל־קִנְיָנ֔וֹ אֲשֶׁ֥ר רָכַ֖שׁ בְּאֶ֣רֶץ כְּנָ֑עַן וַיֵּ֣לֶךְ אֶל־אֶ֔רֶץ מִפְּנֵ֖י יַעֲקֹ֥ב אָחִֽיו׃ And Esau took his wives, and his sons, and his daughters, and all the persons of his house, and his cattle, and all his beasts, and all his substance, which he had got in the land of Canaan; and went into the country from the face of his brother Jacob. |
| 7 | ην γαρ αυτων τα υπαρχοντα πολλα του οικειν αμα και ουκ εδυνατο η γη της παροικησεως αυτων φερειν αυτους απο του πληθους των υπαρχοντων αυτων ִּֽי־הָיָ֧ה רְכוּשָׁ֛ם רָ֖ב מִשֶּׁ֣בֶת יַחְדָּ֑ו וְלֹ֨א יֽ͏ָכְלָ֜ה אֶ֤רֶץ מְגֽוּרֵיהֶם֙ לָשֵׂ֣את אֹתָ֔ם מִפְּנֵ֖י מִקְנֵיהֶֽם׃ For their riches were more than that they might dwell together; and the land wherein they were strangers could not bear them because of their cattle. |
| 8 | ωκησεν δε ησαυ εν τω ορει σηιρ ησαυ αυτος εστιν εδωμ ַיֵּ֤שֶׁב עֵשָׂו֙ בְּהַ֣ר שֵׂעִ֔יר עֵשָׂ֖ו ה֥וּא אֱדֽוֹם׃ Thus dwelt Esau in mount Seir: Esau is Edom. |
| 9 | αυται δε αι γενεσεις ησαυ πατρος εδωμ εν τω ορει σηιρ ְאֵ֛לֶּה תֹּלְד֥וֹת עֵשָׂ֖ו אֲבִ֣י אֱד֑וֹם בְּהַ֖ר שֵׂעִֽיר׃ And these are the generations of Esau the father of the Edomites in mount Seir: |
| 10 | και ταυτα τα ονοματα των υιων ησαυ ελιφας υιος αδας γυναικος ησαυ και ραγουηλ υιος βασεμμαθ γυναικος ησαυ ֵ֖לֶּה שְׁמ֣וֹת בְּנֵֽי־עֵשָׂ֑ו אֱלִיפַ֗ז בֶּן־עָדָה֙ אֵ֣שֶׁת עֵשָׂ֔ו רְעוּאֵ֕ל בֶּן־בָּשְׂמַ֖ת אֵ֥שֶׁת עֵשָֽׂו׃ These are the names of Esau's sons; Eliphaz the son of Adah the wife of Esau, Reuel the son of Bashemath the wife of Esau. |
| 11 | εγενοντο δε υιοι ελιφας θαιμαν ωμαρ σωφαρ γοθομ και κενεζ ַיִּהְי֖וּ בְּנֵ֣י אֱלִיפָ֑ז תֵּימָ֣ן אוֹמָ֔ר צְפ֥וֹ וְגַעְתָּ֖ם וּקְנַֽז׃ And the sons of Eliphaz were Teman, Omar, Zepho, and Gatam, and Kenaz. |
| 12 | θαμνα δε ην παλλακη ελιφας του υιου ησαυ και ετεκεν τω ελιφας τον αμαληκ ουτοι υιοι αδας γυναικος ησαυ ְתִמְנַ֣ע ׀ הָיְתָ֣ה פִילֶ֗גֶשׁ לֶֽאֱלִיפַז֙ בֶּן־עֵשָׂ֔ו וַתֵּ֥לֶד לֶאֱלִיפַ֖ז אֶת־עֲמָלֵ֑ק אֵ֕לֶּה בְּנֵ֥י עָדָ֖ה אֵ֥שֶׁת עֵשָֽׂו׃ And Timna was concubine to Eliphaz Esau's son; and she bare to Eliphaz Amalek: these were the sons of Adah Esau's wife. |
| 13 | ουτοι δε υιοι ραγουηλ ναχοθ ζαρε σομε και μοζε ουτοι ησαν υιοι βασεμμαθ γυναικος ησαυ ְאֵ֙לֶּה֙ בְּנֵ֣י רְעוּאֵ֔ל נַ֥חַת וָזֶ֖רַח שַׁמָּ֣ה וּמִזָּ֑ה אֵ֣לֶּ֣ה הָי֔וּ בְּנֵ֥י בָשְׂמַ֖ת אֵ֥שֶׁת עֵשָֽׂו׃ And these are the sons of Reuel; Nahath, and Zerah, Shammah, and Mizzah: these were the sons of Bashemath Esau's wife. |
| 14 | ουτοι δε ησαν υιοι ελιβεμας θυγατρος ανα του υιου σεβεγων γυναικος ησαυ ετεκεν δε τω ησαυ τον ιεους και τον ιεγλομ και τον κορε ְאֵ֣לֶּה הָי֗וּ בְּנֵ֨י אָהֳלִיבָמָ֧ה בַת־עֲנָ֛ה בַּת־צִבְע֖וֹן אֵ֣שֶׁת עֵשָׂ֑ו וַתֵּ֣לֶד לְעֵשָׂ֔ו אֶת־*יעיש **יְע֥וּשׁ וְאֶת־יַעְלָ֖ם וְאֶת־קֹֽרַח׃ And these were the sons of Aholibamah, the daughter of Anah the daughter of Zibeon, Esau's wife: and she bare to Esau Jeush, and Jaalam, and Korah. |
| 15 | ουτοι ηγεμονες υιοι ησαυ υιοι ελιφας πρωτοτοκου ησαυ ηγεμων θαιμαν ηγεμων ωμαρ ηγεμων σωφαρ ηγεμων κενεζ ֵ֖לֶּה אַלּוּפֵ֣י בְנֵֽי־עֵשָׂ֑ו בְּנֵ֤י אֱלִיפַז֙ בְּכ֣וֹר עֵשָׂ֔ו אַלּ֤וּף תֵּימָן֙ אַלּ֣וּף אוֹמָ֔ר אַלּ֥וּף צְפ֖וֹ אַלּ֥וּף קְנַֽז׃ These were dukes of the sons of Esau: the sons of Eliphaz the firstborn son of Esau; duke Teman, duke Omar, duke Zepho, duke Kenaz, |
| 16 | ηγεμων κορε ηγεμων γοθομ ηγεμων αμαληκ ουτοι ηγεμονες ελιφας εν γη ιδουμαια ουτοι υιοι αδας ַלּֽוּף־קֹ֛רַח אַלּ֥וּף גַּעְתָּ֖ם אַלּ֣וּף עֲמָלֵ֑ק אֵ֣לֶּה אַלּוּפֵ֤י אֱלִיפַז֙ בְּאֶ֣רֶץ אֱד֔וֹם אֵ֖לֶּה בְּנֵ֥י עָדָֽה׃ Duke Korah, duke Gatam, and duke Amalek: these are the dukes that came of Eliphaz in the land of Edom; these were the sons of Adah. |
| 17 | και ουτοι υιοι ραγουηλ υιου ησαυ ηγεμων ναχοθ ηγεμων ζαρε ηγεμων σομε ηγεμων μοζε ουτοι ηγεμονες ραγουηλ εν γη εδωμ ουτοι υιοι βασεμμαθ γυναικος ησαυ ְאֵ֗לֶּה בְּנֵ֤י רְעוּאֵל֙ בֶּן־עֵשָׂ֔ו אַלּ֥וּף נַ֙חַת֙ אַלּ֣וּף זֶ֔רַח אַלּ֥וּף שַׁמָּ֖ה אַלּ֣וּף מִזָּ֑ה אֵ֣לֶּה אַלּוּפֵ֤י רְעוּאֵל֙ בְּאֶ֣רֶץ אֱד֔וֹם אֵ֕לֶּה בְּנֵ֥י בָשְׂמַ֖ת אֵ֥שֶׁת עֵשָֽׂו׃ And these are the sons of Reuel Esau's son; duke Nahath, duke Zerah, duke Shammah, duke Mizzah: these are the dukes that came of Reuel in the land of Edom; these are the sons of Bashemath Esau's wife. |
| 18 | ουτοι δε υιοι ελιβεμας γυναικος ησαυ ηγεμων ιεους ηγεμων ιεγλομ ηγεμων κορε ουτοι ηγεμονες ελιβεμας ְאֵ֗לֶּה בְּנֵ֤י אָהֳלִֽיבָמָה֙ אֵ֣שֶׁת עֵשָׂ֔ו אַלּ֥וּף יְע֛וּשׁ אַלּ֥וּף יַעְלָ֖ם אַלּ֣וּף קֹ֑רַח אֵ֣לֶּה אַלּוּפֵ֞י אָֽהֳלִיבָמָ֛ה בַּת־עֲנָ֖ה אֵ֥שֶׁת עֵשָֽׂו׃ And these are the sons of Aholibamah Esau's wife; duke Jeush, duke Jaalam, duke Korah: these were the dukes that came of Aholibamah the daughter of Anah, Esau's wife. |
| 19 | ουτοι υιοι ησαυ και ουτοι ηγεμονες αυτων ουτοι εισιν υιοι εδωμ ֵ֧לֶּה בְנֵי־עֵשָׂ֛ו וְאֵ֥לֶּה אַלּוּפֵיהֶ֖ם ה֥וּא אֱדֽוֹם׃ ס These are the sons of Esau, who is Edom, and these are their dukes. |
| 20 | ουτοι δε υιοι σηιρ του χορραιου του κατοικουντος την γην λωταν σωβαλ σεβεγων ανα ֵ֤לֶּה בְנֵֽי־שֵׂעִיר֙ הַחֹרִ֔י יֹשְׁבֵ֖י הָאָ֑רֶץ לוֹטָ֥ן וְשׁוֹבָ֖ל וְצִבְע֥וֹן וַעֲנָֽה׃ These are the sons of Seir the Horite, who inhabited the land; Lotan, and Shobal, and Zibeon, and Anah, |
| 21 | και δησων και ασαρ και ρισων ουτοι ηγεμονες του χορραιου του υιου σηιρ εν τη γη εδωμ ְדִשׁ֥וֹן וְאֵ֖צֶר וְדִישָׁ֑ן אֵ֣לֶּה אַלּוּפֵ֧י הַחֹרִ֛י בְּנֵ֥י שֵׂעִ֖יר בְּאֶ֥רֶץ אֱדֽוֹם׃ And Dishon, and Ezer, and Dishan: these are the dukes of the Horites, the children of Seir in the land of Edom. |
| 22 | εγενοντο δε υιοι λωταν χορρι και αιμαν αδελφη δε λωταν θαμνα ַיִּהְי֥וּ בְנֵי־לוֹטָ֖ן חֹרִ֣י וְהֵימָ֑ם וַאֲח֥וֹת לוֹטָ֖ן תִּמְנָֽע׃ And the children of Lotan were Hori and Hemam; and Lotan's sister was Timna. |
| 23 | ουτοι δε υιοι σωβαλ γωλων και μαναχαθ και γαιβηλ σωφ και ωμαν ְאֵ֙לֶּה֙ בְּנֵ֣י שׁוֹבָ֔ל עַלְוָ֥ן וּמָנַ֖חַת וְעֵיבָ֑ל שְׁפ֖וֹ וְאוֹנָֽם׃ And the children of Shobal were these; Alvan, and Manahath, and Ebal, Shepho, and Onam. |
| 24 | και ουτοι υιοι σεβεγων αιε και ωναν ουτος εστιν ο ωνας ος ευρεν τον ιαμιν εν τη ερημω οτε ενεμεν τα υποζυγια σεβεγων του πατρος αυτου ְאֵ֥לֶּה בְנֵֽי־צִבְע֖וֹן וְאַיָּ֣ה וַעֲנָ֑ה ה֣וּא עֲנָ֗ה אֲשֶׁ֨ר מָצָ֤א אֶת־הַיֵּמִם֙ בַּמִּדְבָּ֔ר בִּרְעֹת֥וֹ אֶת־הַחֲמֹרִ֖ים לְצִבְע֥וֹן אָבִֽיו׃ And these are the children of Zibeon; both Ajah, and Anah: this was that Anah that found the mules in the wilderness, as he fed the asses of Zibeon his father. |
| 25 | ουτοι δε υιοι ανα δησων και ελιβεμα θυγατηρ ανα ְאֵ֥לֶּה בְנֵֽי־עֲנָ֖ה דִּשֹׁ֑ן וְאָהֳלִיבָמָ֖ה בַּת־עֲנָֽה׃ And the children of Anah were these; Dishon, and Aholibamah the daughter of Anah. |
| 26 | ουτοι δε υιοι δησων αμαδα και ασβαν και ιεθραν και χαρραν ְאֵ֖לֶּה בְּנֵ֣י דִישָׁ֑ן חֶמְדָּ֥ן וְאֶשְׁבָּ֖ן וְיִתְרָ֥ן וּכְרָֽן׃ And these are the children of Dishon; Hemdan, and Eshban, and Ithran, and Cheran. |
| 27 | ουτοι δε υιοι ασαρ βαλααν και ζουκαμ και ιωυκαμ και ουκαν ֵ֖לֶּה בְּנֵי־אֵ֑צֶר בִּלְהָ֥ן וְזַעֲוָ֖ן וַעֲקָֽן׃ The children of Ezer are these; Bilhan, and Zaavan, and Akan. |
| 28 | ουτοι δε υιοι ρισων ως και αραμ ֵ֥לֶּה בְנֵֽי־דִישָׁ֖ן ע֥וּץ וַאֲרָֽן׃ The children of Dishan are these; Uz, and Aran. |
| 29 | ουτοι ηγεμονες χορρι ηγεμων λωταν ηγεμων σωβαλ ηγεμων σεβεγων ηγεμων ανα ֵ֖לֶּה אַלּוּפֵ֣י הַחֹרִ֑י אַלּ֤וּף לוֹטָן֙ אַלּ֣וּף שׁוֹבָ֔ל אַלּ֥וּף צִבְע֖וֹן אַלּ֥וּף עֲנָֽה׃ These are the dukes that came of the Horites; duke Lotan, duke Shobal, duke Zibeon, duke Anah, |
| 30 | ηγεμων δησων ηγεμων ασαρ ηγεμων ρισων ουτοι ηγεμονες χορρι εν ταις ηγεμονιαις αυτων εν γη εδωμ ַלּ֥וּף דִּשֹׁ֛ן אַלּ֥וּף אֵ֖צֶר אַלּ֣וּף דִּישָׁ֑ן אֵ֣לֶּה אַלּוּפֵ֧י הַחֹרִ֛י לְאַלֻּפֵיהֶ֖ם בְּאֶ֥רֶץ שֵׂעִֽיר׃ פ Duke Dishon, duke Ezer, duke Dishan: these are the dukes that came of Hori, among their dukes in the land of Seir. |
| 31 | The Rulers of Edomκαι ουτοι οι βασιλεις οι βασιλευσαντες εν εδωμ προ του βασιλευσαι βασιλεα εν ισραηλְאֵ֙לֶּה֙ הַמְּלָכִ֔ים אֲשֶׁ֥ר מָלְכ֖וּ בְּאֶ֣רֶץ אֱד֑וֹם לִפְנֵ֥י מְלָךְ־מֶ֖לֶךְ לִבְנֵ֥י יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃ And these are the kings that reigned in the land of Edom, before there reigned any king over the children of Israel. |
| 32 | και εβασιλευσεν εν εδωμ βαλακ υιος του βεωρ και ονομα τη πολει αυτου δενναβα ַיִּמְלֹ֣ךְ בֶּאֱד֔וֹם בֶּ֖לַע בֶּן־בְּע֑וֹר וְשֵׁ֥ם עִיר֖וֹ דִּנְהָֽבָה׃ And Bela the son of Beor reigned in Edom: and the name of his city was Dinhabah. |
| 33 | απεθανεν δε βαλακ και εβασιλευσεν αντ αυτου ιωβαβ υιος ζαρα εκ βοσορρας ַיָּ֖מָת בָּ֑לַע וַיִּמְלֹ֣ךְ תַּחְתָּ֔יו יוֹבָ֥ב בֶּן־זֶ֖רַח מִבָּצְרָֽה׃ And Bela died, and Jobab the son of Zerah of Bozrah reigned in his position. |
| 34 | απεθανεν δε ιωβαβ και εβασιλευσεν αντ αυτου ασομ εκ της γης θαιμανων ַיָּ֖מָת יוֹבָ֑ב וַיִּמְלֹ֣ךְ תַּחְתָּ֔יו חֻשָׁ֖ם מֵאֶ֥רֶץ הַתֵּימָנִֽי׃ And Jobab died, and Husham of the land of Temani reigned in his position. |
| 35 | απεθανεν δε ασομ και εβασιλευσεν αντ αυτου αδαδ υιος βαραδ ο εκκοψας μαδιαμ εν τω πεδιω μωαβ και ονομα τη πολει αυτου γεθθαιμ ַיָּ֖מָת חֻשָׁ֑ם וַיִּמְלֹ֨ךְ תַּחְתָּ֜יו הֲדַ֣ד בֶּן־בְּדַ֗ד הַמַּכֶּ֤ה אֶת־מִדְיָן֙ בִּשְׂדֵ֣ה מוֹאָ֔ב וְשֵׁ֥ם עִיר֖וֹ עֲוִֽית׃ And Husham died, and Hadad the son of Bedad, who stroke Midian in the field of Moab, reigned in his position: and the name of his city was Avith. |
| 36 | απεθανεν δε αδαδ και εβασιλευσεν αντ αυτου σαμαλα εκ μασεκκας ַיָּ֖מָת הֲדָ֑ד וַיִּמְלֹ֣ךְ תַּחְתָּ֔יו שַׂמְלָ֖ה מִמַּשְׂרֵקָֽה׃ And Hadad died, and Samlah of Masrekah reigned in his position. |
| 37 | απεθανεν δε σαμαλα και εβασιλευσεν αντ αυτου σαουλ εκ ροωβωθ της παρα ποταμον ַיָּ֖מָת שַׂמְלָ֑ה וַיִּמְלֹ֣ךְ תַּחְתָּ֔יו שָׁא֖וּל מֵרְחֹב֥וֹת הַנָּהָֽר׃ And Samlah died, and Saul of Rehoboth by the river reigned in his position. |
| 38 | απεθανεν δε σαουλ και εβασιλευσεν αντ αυτου βαλαεννων υιος αχοβωρ ַיָּ֖מָת שָׁא֑וּל וַיִּמְלֹ֣ךְ תַּחְתָּ֔יו בַּ֥עַל חָנָ֖ן בֶּן־עַכְבּֽוֹר׃ And Saul died, and Baalhanan the son of Achbor reigned in his position. |
| 39 | απεθανεν δε βαλαεννων υιος αχοβωρ και εβασιλευσεν αντ αυτου αραδ υιος βαραδ και ονομα τη πολει αυτου φογωρ ονομα δε τη γυναικι αυτου μαιτεβεηλ θυγατηρ ματραιθ υιου μαιζοοβ ַיָּמָת֮ בַּ֣עַל חָנָ֣ן בֶּן־עַכְבּוֹר֒ וַיִּמְלֹ֤ךְ תַּחְתָּיו֙ הֲדַ֔ר וְשֵׁ֥ם עִיר֖וֹ פָּ֑עוּ וְשֵׁ֨ם אִשְׁתּ֤וֹ מְהֵֽיטַבְאֵל֙ בַּת־מַטְרֵ֔ד בַּ֖ת מֵ֥י זָהָֽב׃ And Baalhanan the son of Achbor died, and Hadar reigned in his position: and the name of his city was Pau; and his wife's name was Mehetabel, the daughter of Matred, the daughter of Mezahab. |
| 40 | ταυτα τα ονοματα των ηγεμονων ησαυ εν ταις φυλαις αυτων κατα τοπον αυτων εν ταις χωραις αυτων και εν τοις εθνεσιν αυτων ηγεμων θαμνα ηγεμων γωλα ηγεμων ιεθερ ְ֠אֵלֶּה שְׁמ֞וֹת אַלּוּפֵ֤י עֵשָׂו֙ לְמִשְׁפְּחֹתָ֔ם לִמְקֹמֹתָ֖ם בִּשְׁמֹתָ֑ם אַלּ֥וּף תִּמְנָ֛ע אַלּ֥וּף עַֽלְוָ֖ה אַלּ֥וּף יְתֵֽת׃ And these are the names of the dukes that came of Esau, according to their families, after their places, by their names; duke Timnah, duke Alvah, duke Jetheth, |

| 42 | ηγεμων κενεζ ηγεμων θαιμαν ηγεμων μαζαρ ַלּ֥וּף קְנַ֛ז אַלּ֥וּף תֵּימָ֖ן אַלּ֥וּף מִבְצָֽר׃ Duke Kenaz, duke Teman, duke Mibzar, |
| 43 | ηγεμων μεγεδιηλ ηγεμων ζαφωιμ ουτοι ηγεμονες εδωμ εν ταις κατωκοδομημεναις εν τη γη της κτησεως αυτων ουτος ησαυ πατηρ εδωμ ַלּ֥וּף מַגְדִּיאֵ֖ל אַלּ֣וּף עִירָ֑ם אֵ֣לֶּה ׀ אַלּוּפֵ֣י אֱד֗וֹם לְמֹֽשְׁבֹתָם֙ בְּאֶ֣רֶץ אֲחֻזָּתָ֔ם ה֥וּא עֵשָׂ֖ו אֲבִ֥י אֱדֽוֹם׃ פ Duke Magdiel, duke Iram: these be the dukes of Edom, according to their habitations in the land of their possession: he is Esau the father of the Edomites. |
