Jehoshaphat Defeats Moab and Ammon
και μετα ταυτα ηλθον οι υιοι μωαβ και οι υιοι αμμων και μετ αυτων εκ των μιναιων προς ιωσαφατ εις πολεμον
ַיְהִ֣י אֽ͏ַחֲרֵיכֵ֡ן בָּ֣אוּ בְנֵי־מוֹאָב֩ וּבְנֵ֨י עַמּ֜וֹן וְעִמָּהֶ֧ם ׀ מֵֽהָעַמּוֹנִ֛ים עַל־יְהוֹשָׁפָ֖ט לַמִּלְחָמָֽה׃
It came to pass after this also, that the children of Moab, and the children of Ammon, and with them other beside the Ammonites, came against Jehoshaphat to battle.
2 και ηλθον και υπεδειξαν τω ιωσαφατ λεγοντες ηκει επι σε πληθος πολυ εκ περαν της θαλασσης απο συριας και ιδου εισιν εν ασασανθαμαρ αυτη εστιν ενγαδδι
ַיָּבֹ֗אוּ וַיַּגִּ֤ידוּ לִֽיהוֹשָׁפָט֙ לֵאמֹ֔ר בָּ֣א עָלֶ֜יךָ הָמ֥וֹן רָ֛ב מֵעֵ֥בֶר לַיָּ֖ם מֵאֲרָ֑ם וְהִנָּם֙ בְּחַֽצְצ֣וֹן תָּמָ֔ר הִ֖יא עֵ֥ין גֶּֽדִי׃
Then there came some that told Jehoshaphat, saying, There comes a great multitude against you from beyond the sea on this side Syria; and, behold, they be in Hazazontamar, which is Engedi.
3 και εφοβηθη και εδωκεν ιωσαφατ το προσωπον αυτου εκζητησαι τον κυριον και εκηρυξεν νηστειαν εν παντι ιουδα
ַיִּרָ֕א וַיִּתֵּ֧ן יְהוֹשָׁפָ֛ט אֶת־פָּנָ֖יו לִדְר֣וֹשׁ לַיהוָ֑ה וַיִּקְרָא־צ֖וֹם עַל־כָּל־יְהוּדָֽה׃
And Jehoshaphat feared, and set himself to seek the LORD, and proclaimed a fast throughout all Judah.
4 και συνηχθη ιουδας εκζητησαι τον κυριον και απο πασων των πολεων ιουδα ηλθον ζητησαι τον κυριον
ַיִּקָּבְצ֣וּ יְהוּדָ֔ה לְבַקֵּ֖שׁ מֵֽיְהוָ֑ה גַּ֚ם מִכָּל־עָרֵ֣י יְהוּדָ֔ה בָּ֖אוּ לְבַקֵּ֥שׁ אֶת־יְהוָֽה׃
And Judah gathered themselves together, to ask help of the LORD: even out of all the cities of Judah they came to seek the LORD.
5 και ανεστη ιωσαφατ εν εκκλησια ιουδα εν ιερουσαλημ εν οικω κυριου κατα προσωπον της αυλης της καινης
ַיַּעֲמֹ֣ד יְהוֹשָׁפָ֗ט בִּקְהַ֧ל יְהוּדָ֛ה וִירוּשָׁלַ֖͏ִם בְּבֵ֣ית יְהוָ֑ה לִפְנֵ֖י הֶחָצֵ֥ר הַחֲדָשָֽׁה׃
And Jehoshaphat stood in the congregation of Judah and Jerusalem, in the house of the LORD, before the new court,
6 και ειπεν κυριε ο θεος των πατερων ημων ουχι συ ει θεος εν ουρανω και συ κυριευεις πασων των βασιλειων των εθνων και εν τη χειρι σου ισχυς δυναστειας και ουκ εστιν προς σε αντιστηναι
ַיֹּאמַ֗ר יְהוָ֞ה אֱלֹהֵ֤י אֲבֹתֵ֙ינוּ֙ הֲלֹ֨א אַתָּֽה־ה֤וּא אֱלֹהִים֙ בַּשָּׁמַ֔יִם וְאַתָּ֣ה מוֹשֵׁ֔ל בְּכֹ֖ל מַמְלְכ֣וֹת הַגּוֹיִ֑ם וּבְיָדְךָ֙ כֹּ֣חַ וּגְבוּרָ֔ה וְאֵ֥ין עִמְּךָ֖ לְהִתְיַצֵּֽב׃
And said, O LORD God of our fathers, are not you God in heaven? and rule not you over all the kingdoms of the heathen? and in yours hand is there not power and might, so that none is able to withstand you?
7 ουχι συ ει ο κυριος ο εξολεθρευσας τους κατοικουντας την γην ταυτην απο προσωπου του λαου σου ισραηλ και εδωκας αυτην σπερματι αβρααμ τω ηγαπημενω σου εις τον αιωνα
ֲלֹ֣א ׀ אַתָּ֣ה אֱלֹהֵ֗ינוּ הוֹרַ֙שְׁתָּ֙ אֶת־יֹשְׁבֵי֙ הָאָ֣רֶץ הַזֹּ֔את מִלִּפְנֵ֖י עַמְּךָ֣ יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל וַֽתִּתְּנָ֗הּ לְזֶ֛רַע אַבְרָהָ֥ם אֹֽהַבְךָ֖ לְעוֹלָֽם׃
Are not you our God, who did drive out the inhabitants of this land before your people Israel, and gave it to the seed of Abraham your friend for ever?
8 και κατωκησαν εν αυτη και ωκοδομησαν εν αυτη αγιασμα τω ονοματι σου λεγοντες
ַיֵּשְׁב֖וּ־בָ֑הּ וַיִּבְנ֨וּ לְךָ֧ ׀ בָּ֛הּ מִקְדָּ֖שׁ לְשִׁמְךָ֥ לֵאמֹֽר׃
And they dwelt therein, and have built you a sanctuary therein for your name, saying,
9 εαν επελθη εφ ημας κακα ρομφαια κρισις θανατος λιμος στησομεθα εναντιον του οικου τουτου και εναντιον σου οτι το ονομα σου επι τω οικω τουτω και βοησομεθα προς σε απο της θλιψεως και ακουση και σωσεις
ִם־תָּב֨וֹא עָלֵ֜ינוּ רָעָ֗ה חֶרֶב֮ שְׁפוֹט֮ וְדֶ֣בֶר וְרָעָב֒ נַֽעַמְדָ֞ה לִפְנֵ֨י הַבַּ֤יִת הַזֶּה֙ וּלְפָנֶ֔יךָ כִּ֥י שִׁמְךָ֖ בַּבַּ֣יִת הַזֶּ֑ה וְנִזְעַ֥ק אֵלֶ֛יךָ מִצָּרָתֵ֖נוּ וְתִשְׁמַ֥ע וְתוֹשִֽׁיעַ׃
If, when evil comes upon us, as the sword, judgment, or pestilence, or famine, we stand before this house, and in your presence, (for your name is in this house,) and cry unto you in our affliction, then you will hear and help.
10 και νυν ιδου υιοι αμμων και μωαβ και ορος σηιρ εις ους ουκ εδωκας τω ισραηλ διελθειν δι αυτων εξελθοντων αυτων εκ γης αιγυπτου οτι εξεκλιναν απ αυτων και ουκ εξωλεθρευσαν αυτους
ְעַתָּ֡ה הִנֵּה֩ בְנֵֽי־עַמּ֨וֹן וּמוֹאָ֜ב וְהַר־שֵׂעִ֗יר אֲ֠שֶׁר לֹֽא־נָתַ֤תָּה לְיִשְׂרָאֵל֙ לָב֣וֹא בָהֶ֔ם בְּבֹאָ֖ם מֵאֶ֣רֶץ מִצְרָ֑יִם כִּ֛י סָ֥רוּ מֵעֲלֵיהֶ֖ם וְלֹ֥א הִשְׁמִידֽוּם׃
And now, behold, the children of Ammon and Moab and mount Seir, whom you would not let Israel invade, when they came out of the land of Egypt, but they turned from them, and destroyed them not;
11 και νυν ιδου αυτοι επιχειρουσιν εφ ημας εξελθειν εκβαλειν ημας απο της κληρονομιας ημων ης εδωκας ημιν
ְהִ֨נֵּה־הֵ֔ם גֹּמְלִ֖ים עָלֵ֑ינוּ לָבוֹא֙ לְגָ֣רְשֵׁ֔נוּ מִיְּרֻשָּׁתְךָ֖ אֲשֶׁ֥ר הֽוֹרַשְׁתָּֽנוּ׃
Behold, I say, how they reward us, to come to cast us out of your possession, which you have given us to inherit.
12 κυριε ο θεος ημων ου κρινεις εν αυτοις οτι ουκ εστιν ημιν ισχυς του αντιστηναι προς το πληθος το πολυ τουτο το ελθον εφ ημας και ουκ οιδαμεν τι ποιησωμεν αυτοις αλλ η επι σοι οι οφθαλμοι ημων
ֱלֹהֵ֙ינוּ֙ הֲלֹ֣א תִשְׁפָּט־בָּ֔ם כִּ֣י אֵ֥ין בָּ֙נוּ֙ כֹּ֔חַ לִ֠פְנֵי הֶהָמ֥וֹן הָרָ֛ב הַזֶּ֖ה הַבָּ֣א עָלֵ֑ינוּ וַאֲנַ֗חְנוּ לֹ֤א נֵדַע֙ מַֽה־נַּעֲשֶׂ֔ה כִּ֥י עָלֶ֖יךָ עֵינֵֽינוּ׃
O our God, will you not judge them? for we have no might against this great company that comes against us; neither know we what to do: but our eyes are upon you.
13 και πας ιουδας εστηκως εναντι κυριου και τα παιδια αυτων και αι γυναικες
ְכָ֨ל־יְהוּדָ֔ה עֹמְדִ֖ים לִפְנֵ֣י יְהוָ֑ה גַּם־טַפָּ֖ם נְשֵׁיהֶ֥ם וּבְנֵיהֶֽם׃ פ
And all Judah stood before the LORD, with their little ones, their wives, and their children.
14 και τω οζιηλ τω του ζαχαριου των υιων βαναιου των υιων ελεηλ του μανθανιου του λευιτου απο των υιων ασαφ εγενετο επ αυτον πνευμα κυριου εν τη εκκλησια
ְיַחֲזִיאֵ֡ל בֶּן־זְכַרְיָ֡הוּ בֶּן־בְּ֠נָיָה בֶּן־יְעִיאֵ֧ל בֶּן־מַתַּנְיָ֛ה הַלֵּוִ֖י מִן־בְּנֵ֣י אָסָ֑ף הָיְתָ֤ה עָלָיו֙ ר֣וּחַ יְהוָ֔ה בְּת֖וֹךְ הַקָּהָֽל׃
Then upon Jahaziel the son of Zechariah, the son of Benaiah, the son of Jeiel, the son of Mattaniah, a Levite of the sons of Asaph, came the Spirit of the LORD in the midst of the congregation;
15 και ειπεν ακουσατε πας ιουδα και οι κατοικουντες ιερουσαλημ και ο βασιλευς ιωσαφατ ταδε λεγει κυριος υμιν αυτοις μη φοβεισθε μηδε πτοηθητε απο προσωπου του οχλου του πολλου τουτου οτι ουχ υμιν εστιν η παραταξις αλλ η τω θεω
ַיֹּ֗אמֶר הַקְשִׁ֤יבוּ כָל־יְהוּדָה֙ וְיֹשְׁבֵ֣י יְרוּשָׁלִַ֔ם וְהַמֶּ֖לֶךְ יְהוֹשָׁפָ֑ט כֹּֽה־אָמַ֨ר יְהוָ֜ה לָכֶ֗ם אַ֠תֶּם אַל־תִּֽירְא֤וּ וְאַל־תֵּחַ֙תּוּ֙ מִפְּנֵ֨י הֶהָמ֤וֹן הָרָב֙ הַזֶּ֔ה כִּ֣י לֹ֥א לָכֶ֛ם הַמִּלְחָמָ֖ה כִּ֥י לֵאלֹהִֽים׃
And he said, Hearken all of you, all Judah, and all of you inhabitants of Jerusalem, and you king Jehoshaphat, Thus says the LORD unto you, Be not afraid nor dismayed by reason of this great multitude; for the battle is not yours, but God's.
16 αυριον καταβητε επ αυτους ιδου αναβαινουσιν κατα την αναβασιν ασας και ευρησετε αυτους επ ακρου ποταμου της ερημου ιεριηλ
ָחָר֙ רְד֣וּ עֲלֵיהֶ֔ם הִנָּ֥ם עֹלִ֖ים בְּמַעֲלֵ֣ה הַצִּ֑יץ וּמְצָאתֶ֤ם אֹתָם֙ בְּס֣וֹף הַנַּ֔חַל פְּנֵ֖י מִדְבַּ֥ר יְרוּאֵֽל׃
Tomorrow go all of you down against them: behold, they come up by the cliff of Ziz; and all of you shall find them at the end of the brook, before the wilderness of Jeruel.
17 ουχ υμιν εστιν πολεμησαι ταυτα συνετε και ιδετε την σωτηριαν κυριου μεθ υμων ιουδα και ιερουσαλημ μη φοβεισθε μηδε πτοηθητε αυριον εξελθειν εις απαντησιν αυτοις και κυριος μεθ υμων
ֹ֥א לָכֶ֖ם לְהִלָּחֵ֣ם בָּזֹ֑את הִתְיַצְּב֣וּ עִמְד֡וּ וּרְא֣וּ אֶת־יְשׁוּעַת֩ יְהוָ֨ה עִמָּכֶ֜ם יְהוּדָ֣ה וִֽירוּשָׁלִַ֗ם אַל־תִּֽירְאוּ֙ וְאַל־תֵּחַ֔תּוּ מָחָר֙ צְא֣וּ לִפְנֵיהֶ֔ם וַיהוָ֖ה עִמָּכֶֽם׃
All of you shall not need to fight in this battle: set yourselves, stand all of you still, and see the salvation of the LORD with you, O Judah and Jerusalem: fear not, nor be dismayed; tomorrow go out against them: for the LORD will be with you.
18 και κυψας ιωσαφατ επι προσωπον αυτου και πας ιουδα και οι κατοικουντες ιερουσαλημ επεσαν εναντι κυριου προσκυνησαι κυριω
ַיִּקֹּ֧ד יְהוֹשָׁפָ֛ט אַפַּ֖יִם אָ֑רְצָה וְכָל־יְהוּדָ֞ה וְיֹשְׁבֵ֣י יְרוּשָׁלִַ֗ם נָֽפְלוּ֙ לִפְנֵ֣י יְהוָ֔ה לְהִֽשְׁתַּחֲוֺ֖ת לַיהוָֽה׃
And Jehoshaphat bowed his head with his face to the ground: and all Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem fell before the LORD, worshipping the LORD.
19 και ανεστησαν οι λευιται απο των υιων κααθ και απο των υιων κορε αινειν κυριω θεω ισραηλ εν φωνη μεγαλη εις υψος
ַיָּקֻ֧מוּ הַלְוִיִּ֛ם מִן־בְּנֵ֥י הַקְּהָתִ֖ים וּמִן־בְּנֵ֣י הַקָּרְחִ֑ים לְהַלֵּ֗ל לַיהוָה֙ אֱלֹהֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל בְּק֥וֹל גָּד֖וֹל לְמָֽעְלָה׃
And the Levites, of the children of the Kohathites, and of the children of the Korhites, stood up to praise the LORD God of Israel with a loud voice on high.
20 και ωρθρισαν πρωι και εξηλθον εις την ερημον θεκωε και εν τω εξελθειν εστη ιωσαφατ και εβοησεν και ειπεν ακουσατε μου ιουδα και οι κατοικουντες εν ιερουσαλημ εμπιστευσατε εν κυριω θεω υμων και εμπιστευθησεσθε εμπιστευσατε εν προφητη αυτου και ευοδωθησεσθε
ַיַּשְׁכִּ֣ימוּ בַבֹּ֔קֶר וַיֵּצְא֖וּ לְמִדְבַּ֣ר תְּק֑וֹעַ וּבְצֵאתָ֞ם עָמַ֣ד יְהוֹשָׁפָ֗ט וַיֹּ֙אמֶר֙ שְׁמָע֗וּנִי יְהוּדָה֙ וְיֹשְׁבֵ֣י יְרוּשָׁלִַ֔ם הַאֲמִ֜ינוּ בַּיהוָ֤ה אֱלֹהֵיכֶם֙ וְתֵ֣אָמֵ֔נוּ הַאֲמִ֥ינוּ בִנְבִיאָ֖יו וְהַצְלִֽיחוּ׃
And they rose early in the morning, and went forth into the wilderness of Tekoa: and as they went forth, Jehoshaphat stood and said, Hear me, O Judah, and all of you inhabitants of Jerusalem; Believe in the LORD your God, so shall all of you be established; believe his prophets, so shall all of you prosper.
21 και εβουλευσατο μετα του λαου και εστησεν ψαλτωδους και αινουντας εξομολογεισθαι και αινειν τα αγια εν τω εξελθειν εμπροσθεν της δυναμεως και ελεγον εξομολογεισθε τω κυριω οτι εις τον αιωνα το ελεος αυτου
ַיִּוָּעַץ֙ אֶל־הָעָ֔ם וַיַּעֲמֵ֤ד מְשֹֽׁרֲרִים֙ לַיהוָ֔ה וּֽמְהַֽלְלִ֖ים לְהַדְרַת־קֹ֑דֶשׁ בְּצֵאת֙ לִפְנֵ֣י הֶֽחָל֔וּץ וְאֹֽמְרִים֙ הוֹד֣וּ לַיהוָ֔ה כִּ֥י לְעוֹלָ֖ם חַסְדּֽוֹ׃
And when he had consulted with the people, he appointed singers unto the LORD, and that should praise the beauty of holiness, as they went out before the army, and to say, Praise the LORD; for his mercy endures for ever.
22 και εν τω αρξασθαι της αινεσεως αυτου της εξομολογησεως εδωκεν κυριος πολεμειν τους υιους αμμων επι μωαβ και ορος σηιρ τους εξελθοντας επι ιουδαν και ετροπωθησαν
ּבְעֵת֩ הֵחֵ֨לּוּ בְרִנָּ֜ה וּתְהִלָּ֗ה נָתַ֣ן יְהוָ֣ה ׀ מְ֠אָֽרְבִים עַל־בְּנֵ֨י עַמּ֜וֹן מוֹאָ֧ב וְהַר־שֵׂעִ֛יר הַבָּאִ֥ים לִֽיהוּדָ֖ה וַיִּנָּגֵֽפוּ׃
And when they began to sing and to praise, the LORD set ambushments against the children of Ammon, Moab, and mount Seir, which were come against Judah; and they were smitten.
23 και ανεστησαν οι υιοι αμμων και μωαβ επι τους κατοικουντας ορος σηιρ εξολεθρευσαι και εκτριψαι και ως συνετελεσαν τους κατοικουντας σηιρ ανεστησαν εις αλληλους του εξολεθρευθηναι
ַ֠יַּֽעַמְדוּ בְּנֵ֨י עַמּ֧וֹן וּמוֹאָ֛ב עַל־יֹשְׁבֵ֥י הַר־שֵׂעִ֖יר לְהַחֲרִ֣ים וּלְהַשְׁמִ֑יד וּכְכַלּוֹתָם֙ בְּיוֹשְׁבֵ֣י שֵׂעִ֔יר עָזְר֥וּ אִישׁ־בְּרֵעֵ֖הוּ לְמַשְׁחִֽית׃
For the children of Ammon and Moab stood up against the inhabitants of mount Seir, utterly to slay and destroy them: and when they had made an end of the inhabitants of Seir, every one helped to destroy another.
24 και ιουδας ηλθεν επι την σκοπιαν της ερημου και επεβλεψεν και ειδεν το πληθος και ιδου παντες νεκροι πεπτωκοτες επι της γης ουκ ην σωζομενος
ִֽיהוּדָ֛ה בָּ֥א עַל־הַמִּצְפֶּ֖ה לַמִּדְבָּ֑ר וַיִּפְנוּ֙ אֶל־הֶ֣הָמ֔וֹן וְהִנָּ֧ם פְּגָרִ֛ים נֹפְלִ֥ים אַ֖רְצָה וְאֵ֥ין פְּלֵיטָֽה׃
And when Judah came toward the watch tower in the wilderness, they looked unto the multitude, and, behold, they were dead bodies fallen to the earth, and none escaped.
25 και ηλθεν ιωσαφατ και ο λαος αυτου σκυλευσαι τα σκυλα αυτων και ευρον κτηνη πολλα και αποσκευην και σκυλα και σκευη επιθυμητα και εσκυλευσαν εαυτοις και εγενοντο ημεραι τρεις σκυλευοντων αυτων τα σκυλα οτι πολλα ην
ַיָּבֹ֨א יְהוֹשָׁפָ֣ט וְעַמּוֹ֮ לָבֹ֣ז אֶת־שְׁלָלָם֒ וַיִּמְצְאוּ֩ בָהֶ֨ם לָרֹ֜ב וּרְכ֤וּשׁ וּפְגָרִים֙ וּכְלֵ֣י חֲמֻד֔וֹת וַיְנַצְּל֥וּ לָהֶ֖ם לְאֵ֣ין מַשָּׂ֑א וַיִּֽהְי֞וּ יָמִ֧ים שְׁלוֹשָׁ֛ה בֹּזְזִ֥ים אֶת־הַשָּׁלָ֖ל כִּ֥י רַב־הֽוּא׃
And when Jehoshaphat and his people came to take away the spoil of them, they found among them in abundance both riches with the dead bodies, and precious jewels, which they stripped off for themselves, more than they could carry away: and they were three days in gathering of the spoil, it was so much.
26 και τη ημερα τη τεταρτη επισυνηχθησαν εις τον αυλωνα της ευλογιας εκει γαρ ηυλογησαν τον κυριον δια τουτο εκαλεσαν το ονομα του τοπου εκεινου κοιλας ευλογιας εως της ημερας ταυτης
ּבַיּ֣וֹם הָרְבִעִ֗י נִקְהֲלוּ֙ לְעֵ֣מֶק בְּרָכָ֔ה כִּי־שָׁ֖ם בֵּרֲכ֣וּ אֶת־יְהוָ֑ה עַל־כֵּ֡ן קָֽרְא֞וּ אֶת־שֵׁ֨ם הַמָּק֥וֹם הַה֛וּא עֵ֥מֶק בְּרָכָ֖ה עַד־הַיּֽוֹם׃
And on the fourth day they assembled themselves in the valley of Berachah; for there they blessed the LORD: therefore the name of the same place was called, The valley of Berachah, unto this day.
27 και επεστρεψεν πας ανηρ ιουδα εις ιερουσαλημ και ιωσαφατ ηγουμενος αυτων εν ευφροσυνη μεγαλη οτι ευφρανεν αυτους κυριος απο των εχθρων αυτων
ַ֠יָּשֻׁבוּ כָּל־אִ֨ישׁ יְהוּדָ֤ה וִֽירוּשָׁלִַ֙ם֙ וִֽיהוֹשָׁפָ֣ט בְּרֹאשָׁ֔ם לָשׁ֥וּב אֶל־יְרוּשָׁלַ֖͏ִם בְּשִׂמְחָ֑ה כִּֽי־שִׂמְּחָ֥ם יְהוָ֖ה מֵֽאוֹיְבֵיהֶֽם׃
Then they returned, every man of Judah and Jerusalem, and Jehoshaphat in the forefront of them, to go again to Jerusalem with joy; for the LORD had made them to rejoice over their enemies.
28 και εισηλθον εις ιερουσαλημ εν ναβλαις και εν κινυραις και εν σαλπιγξιν εις οικον κυριου
ַיָּבֹ֙אוּ֙ יְר֣וּשָׁלִַ֔ם בִּנְבָלִ֥ים וּבְכִנֹּר֖וֹת וּבַחֲצֹצְר֑וֹת אֶל־בֵּ֖ית יְהוָֽה׃
And they came to Jerusalem with psalteries and harps and trumpets unto the house of the LORD.
29 και εγενετο εκστασις κυριου επι πασας τας βασιλειας της γης εν τω ακουσαι αυτους οτι επολεμησεν κυριος προς τους υπεναντιους ισραηλ
ַיְהִי֙ פַּ֣חַד אֱלֹהִ֔ים עַ֖ל כָּל־מַמְלְכ֣וֹת הָאֲרָצ֑וֹת בְּשָׁמְעָ֕ם כִּ֚י נִלְחַ֣ם יְהוָ֔ה עִ֖ם אוֹיְבֵ֥י יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃
And the fear of God was on all the kingdoms of those countries, when they had heard that the LORD fought against the enemies of Israel.
30 και ειρηνευσεν η βασιλεια ιωσαφατ και κατεπαυσεν αυτω ο θεος αυτου κυκλοθεν
ַתִּשְׁקֹ֖ט מַלְכ֣וּת יְהוֹשָׁפָ֑ט וַיָּ֧נַֽח ל֦וֹ אֱלֹהָ֖יו מִסָּבִֽיב׃ פ
So the realm of Jehoshaphat was quiet: for his God gave him rest round about.

The End of Jehoshaphat’s Reign
και εβασιλευσεν ιωσαφατ επι τον ιουδαν ετων τριακοντα πεντε εν τω βασιλευσαι αυτον και εικοσι πεντε ετη εβασιλευσεν εν ιερουσαλημ και ονομα τη μητρι αυτου αζουβα θυγατηρ σαλι
ַיִּמְלֹ֥ךְ יְהוֹשָׁפָ֖ט עַל־יְהוּדָ֑ה בֶּן־שְׁלֹשִׁים֩ וְחָמֵ֨שׁ שָׁנָ֜ה בְּמָלְכ֗וֹ וְעֶשְׂרִ֨ים וְחָמֵ֤שׁ שָׁנָה֙ מָלַ֣ךְ בִּֽירוּשָׁלִַ֔ם וְשֵׁ֣ם אִמּ֔וֹ עֲזוּבָ֖ה בַּת־שִׁלְחִֽי׃
And Jehoshaphat reigned over Judah: he was thirty and five years old when he began to reign, and he reigned twenty and five years in Jerusalem. And his mother's name was Azubah the daughter of Shilhi.
32 και επορευθη εν ταις οδοις του πατρος αυτου ασα και ουκ εξεκλινεν του ποιησαι το ευθες ενωπιον κυριου
ַיֵּ֗לֶךְ בְּדֶ֛רֶךְ אָבִ֥יו אָסָ֖א וְלֹא־סָ֣ר מִמֶּ֑נָּה לַעֲשׂ֥וֹת הַיָּשָׁ֖ר בְּעֵינֵ֥י יְהוָֽה׃
And he walked in the way of Asa his father, and departed not from it, doing that which was right in the sight of the LORD.
33 αλλα τα υψηλα ετι υπηρχεν και ετι ο λαος ου κατευθυνεν την καρδιαν προς κυριον θεον των πατερων αυτων
ַ֥ךְ הַבָּמ֖וֹת לֹא־סָ֑רוּ וְע֤וֹד הָעָם֙ לֹא־הֵכִ֣ינוּ לְבָבָ֔ם לֵאלֹהֵ֖י אֲבֹתֵיהֶֽם׃
Nevertheless the high places were not taken away: for as yet the people had not prepared their hearts unto the God of their fathers.
34 και οι λοιποι λογοι ιωσαφατ οι πρωτοι και οι εσχατοι ιδου γεγραμμενοι εν λογοις ιου του ανανι ος κατεγραψεν βιβλιον βασιλεων ισραηλ
ְיֶ֙תֶר֙ דִּבְרֵ֣י יְהוֹשָׁפָ֔ט הָרִאשֹׁנִ֖ים וְהָאַחֲרֹנִ֑ים הִנָּ֣ם כְּתוּבִ֗ים בְּדִבְרֵי֙ יֵה֣וּא בֶן־חֲנָ֔נִי אֲשֶׁ֣ר הֹֽעֲלָ֔ה עַל־סֵ֖פֶר מַלְכֵ֥י יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃
Now the rest of the acts of Jehoshaphat, first and last, behold, they are written in the book of Jehu the son of Hanani, who is mentioned in the book of the kings of Israel.
35 και μετα ταυτα εκοινωνησεν ιωσαφατ βασιλευς ιουδα προς οχοζιαν βασιλεα ισραηλ και ουτος ηνομησεν
ְאַחֲרֵיכֵ֗ן אֶתְחַבַּר֙ יְהוֹשָׁפָ֣ט מֶֽלֶךְ־יְהוּדָ֔ה עִ֖ם אֲחַזְיָ֣ה מֶֽלֶךְ־יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל ה֖וּא הִרְשִׁ֥יעַ לַעֲשֽׂוֹת׃
And after this did Jehoshaphat king of Judah join himself with Ahaziah king of Israel, who did very wickedly:
36 εν τω ποιησαι και πορευθηναι προς αυτον του ποιησαι πλοια του πορευθηναι εις θαρσις και εποιησεν πλοια εν γασιωνγαβερ
ַיְחַבְּרֵ֣הוּ עִמּ֔וֹ לַעֲשׂ֥וֹת אֳנִיּ֖וֹת לָלֶ֣כֶת תַּרְשִׁ֑ישׁ וַיַּעֲשׂ֥וּ אֳנִיּ֖וֹת בְּעֶצְי֥וֹן גָּֽבֶר׃
And he joined himself with him to make ships to go to Tarshish: and they made the ships in Eziongaber.
37 και επροφητευσεν ελιεζερ ο του δωδια απο μαρισης επι ιωσαφατ λεγων ως εφιλιασας τω οχοζια εθραυσεν κυριος το εργον σου και συνετριβη τα πλοια σου και ουκ εδυνασθη του πορευθηναι εις θαρσις
ַיִּתְנַבֵּ֞א אֱלִיעֶ֤זֶר בֶּן־דֹּדָוָ֙הוּ֙ מִמָּ֣רֵשָׁ֔ה עַל־יְהוֹשָׁפָ֖ט לֵאמֹ֑ר כְּהִֽתְחַבֶּרְךָ֣ עִם־אֲחַזְיָ֗הוּ פָּרַ֤ץ יְהוָה֙ אֶֽת־מַעֲשֶׂ֔יךָ וַיִּשָּׁבְר֣וּ אֳנִיּ֔וֹת וְלֹ֥א עָצְר֖וּ לָלֶ֥כֶת אֶל־תַּרְשִֽׁישׁ׃
Then Eliezer the son of Dodavah of Mareshah prophesied against Jehoshaphat, saying, Because you have joined yourself with Ahaziah, the LORD has broken your works. And the ships were broken, that they were not able to go to Tarshish.
