1 | The Collection for the Lord’s PeopleΠερὶ δὲ τῆς λογίας / λογείας τῆς εἰς τοὺς ἁγίους, ὥσπερ διέταξα ταῖς ἐκκλησίαις τῆς Γαλατίας, οὕτως καὶ ὑμεῖς ποιήσατε.Now concerning the collection for the saints, as I have given order to the churches of Galatia, even so do all of you. |

2 | κατὰ μίαν σαββάτου ἕκαστος ὑμῶν παρ´ ἑαυτῷ τιθέτω θησαυρίζων ὅτι ἐὰν εὐοδῶται, ἵνα μὴ ὅταν ἔλθω τότε λογίαι / λογεῖαι γίνωνται. Upon the first day of the week let every one of you lay by him in store, as God has prospered him, that there be no gatherings when I come. |
3 | ὅταν δὲ παραγένωμαι, οὓς ἐὰν δοκιμάσητε δι´ ἐπιστολῶν, τούτους πέμψω ἀπενεγκεῖν τὴν χάριν ὑμῶν εἰς Ἰερουσαλήμ· And when I come, whomsoever all of you shall approve by your letters, them will I send to bring your liberality unto Jerusalem. |
4 | Personal Requestsἐὰν δὲ ἄξιον ᾖ τοῦ κἀμὲ πορεύεσθαι, σὺν ἐμοὶ πορεύσονται.And if it be meet that I go also, they shall go with me. |
5 | Ἐλεύσομαι δὲ πρὸς ὑμᾶς ὅταν Μακεδονίαν διέλθω, Μακεδονίαν γὰρ διέρχομαι, Now I will come unto you, when I shall pass through Macedonia: for I do pass through Macedonia. |
6 | πρὸς ὑμᾶς δὲ τυχὸν καταμενῶ / παραμενῶ ἢ {καὶ} παραχειμάσω, ἵνα ὑμεῖς με προπέμψητε οὗ ἐὰν πορεύωμαι. And it may be that I will abide, yea, and winter with you, that all of you may bring me on my journey anywhere I go. |
7 | οὐ θέλω γὰρ ὑμᾶς ἄρτι ἐν παρόδῳ ἰδεῖν, ἐλπίζω γὰρ χρόνον τινὰ ἐπιμεῖναι πρὸς ὑμᾶς, ἐὰν ὁ κύριος ἐπιτρέψῃ. For I will not see you now by the way; but I trust to tarry a while with you, if the Lord permit. |
8 | ἐπιμένω δὲ ἐν Ἐφέσῳ ἕως τῆς πεντηκοστῆς· But I will tarry at Ephesus until Pentecost. |
9 | θύρα γάρ μοι ἀνέῳγεν μεγάλη καὶ ἐνεργής, καὶ ἀντικείμενοι πολλοί. For a great door and effectual is opened unto me, and there are many adversaries. |
10 | Ἐὰν δὲ ἔλθῃ Τιμόθεος, βλέπετε ἵνα ἀφόβως γένηται πρὸς ὑμᾶς, τὸ γὰρ ἔργον Κυρίου ἐργάζεται ὡς ἐγώ / κἀγώ· Now if Timotheus come, see that he may be with you without fear: for he works the work of the Lord, as I also do. |
11 | μή τις οὖν αὐτὸν ἐξουθενήσῃ. προπέμψατε δὲ αὐτὸν ἐν εἰρήνῃ, ἵνα ἔλθῃ πρός με, ἐκδέχομαι γὰρ αὐτὸν μετὰ τῶν ἀδελφῶν. Let no man therefore despise him: but conduct him forth in peace, that he may come unto me: for I look for him with the brethren. |
12 | Περὶ δὲ Ἀπολλὼ τοῦ ἀδελφοῦ, πολλὰ παρεκάλεσα αὐτὸν ἵνα ἔλθῃ πρὸς ὑμᾶς μετὰ τῶν ἀδελφῶν· καὶ πάντως οὐκ ἦν θέλημα ἵνα νῦν ἔλθῃ, ἐλεύσεται δὲ ὅταν εὐκαιρήσῃ. As concerning our brother Apollos, I greatly desired him to come unto you with the brethren: but his will was not at all to come at this time; but he will come when he shall have convenient time. |
13 | Γρηγορεῖτε, στήκετε ἐν τῇ πίστει, ἀνδρίζεσθε, κραταιοῦσθε. Watch all of you, stand fast in the faith, quit you like men, be strong. |
14 | πάντα ὑμῶν ἐν ἀγάπῃ γινέσθω. Let all your things be done with love. |
15 | Παρακαλῶ δὲ ὑμᾶς, ἀδελφοί· οἴδατε τὴν οἰκίαν Στεφανᾶ, ὅτι ἐστὶν ἀπαρχὴ τῆς Ἀχαίας καὶ εἰς διακονίαν τοῖς ἁγίοις ἔταξαν ἑαυτούς· I plead to (all of you know the house of Stephanas, that it is the first-fruits of Achaia, and that they have addicted themselves to the ministry of the saints,) |
16 | ἵνα καὶ ὑμεῖς ὑποτάσσησθε τοῖς τοιούτοις καὶ παντὶ τῷ συνεργοῦντι καὶ κοπιῶντι. That all of you submit yourselves unto such, and to every one that helps with us, and labours. |
17 | χαίρω δὲ ἐπὶ τῇ παρουσίᾳ Στεφανᾶ καὶ Φορτουνάτου καὶ Ἀχαϊκοῦ, ὅτι τὸ ὑμέτερον ὑστέρημα οὗτοι ἀνεπλήρωσαν, I am glad of the coming of Stephanas and Fortunatus and Achaicus: for that which was lacking on your part they have supplied. |
18 | Final Greetingsἀνέπαυσαν γὰρ τὸ ἐμὸν πνεῦμα καὶ τὸ ὑμῶν. ἐπιγινώσκετε οὖν τοὺς τοιούτους.For they have refreshed my spirit and your's: therefore acknowledge all of you them that are such. |
19 | Ἀσπάζονται ὑμᾶς αἱ ἐκκλησίαι τῆς Ἀσίας. ἀσπάζεται ὑμᾶς ἐν κυρίῳ πολλὰ Ἀκύλας καὶ Πρίσκα σὺν τῇ κατ´ οἶκον αὐτῶν ἐκκλησίᾳ. The churches of Asia salute you. Aquila and Priscilla salute you much in the Lord, with the church that is in their house. |
20 | ἀσπάζονται ὑμᾶς οἱ ἀδελφοὶ πάντες. Ἀσπάσασθε ἀλλήλους ἐν φιλήματι ἁγίῳ. All the brethren greet you. Greet all of you one another with an holy kiss. |
21 | Ὁ ἀσπασμὸς τῇ ἐμῇ χειρὶ Παύλου. The salutation of me Paul with mine own hand. |
22 | εἴ τις οὐ φιλεῖ τὸν κύριον, ἤτω ἀνάθεμα. Μαρὰν / μαρανα ἀθά / θα. If any man love not the Lord Jesus Christ, let him be Anathema Maranatha. |
23 | ἡ χάρις τοῦ κυρίου Ἰησοῦ μεθ´ ὑμῶν. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you. |
24 | ἡ ἀγάπη μου μετὰ πάντων ὑμῶν ἐν Χριστῷ Ἰησοῦ. My love be with you all in Christ Jesus. Amen. |
